Ooh, whats your new job hypno? Do you practice your hypnotherapy much, i've had that, would of thought you could make a lot from that?

My new job is as a stockbroker (what I did before I went into the therapy stuff), so I can earn more doing that and it is more stable work than I can doing the hypnotherapy.

Having said that, I am still seeing clients - just not actively promoting it, so I will be using any extra income from clients to save up for my new windows that I desperately need!

More a "profitable hobby" now rather than a career - suits me nicely!!

Hi everyone and well done on the challenge. I have not posted on here for ages, I have been doing loads of overtime and just had a huge listing on ebay that jhas earned me £1700 to pay towards debt, the overtime this month has come to £1600 and my normal payments are £500, so this month I can throw another £3800 towards my debt, I'm well chuffed, Ican actually see it going down now!!! Keep up the hard work evreyone ciao for now...

I'm going on the basis of slow and steady wins the race. I'm not making huge leaps and bounds but i'm getting there which is better than nothing. There's very little i can do at the moment though as unfortunately Barclays still haven't set up my isa so i still can't transfer any money into it. I don't want to put the money into my other savings account as it takes three days to get there and then three days to come back to my account, so just hoping they get it sorted and soon. However i am still being very careful with my money and trying to stretch it out so hopefully once its set up i will have more to put in there.

As of this week though i will be working part time, so there will be quite a cut in my wages, so it may call for even more drastic money saving, until i set my part time business up in a few months. Hopefully the latter end of this year will be more profitable for me, as long as eveything goes to plan!

Well done wilkster on the huge payment.

Hypno, i can see why you would go back to being a stockbroker, i can imagine thats good money. The reason i asked was because my part time business is as a holistic therapist, doing swedish massage and indian head massage. However, i earn a pretty rubbish wage working in a school so this path should be more profitable for me.
