Another matched bet settled, should be just under £10 profit so that's £90ish and £190 Saturday money for this month and we're doing well :)

Evening all you are all doing fantastically well....will be updating in a few days.
  • Yes Andan, I'm trying to get a bit of money behind us, unfortunately Hubby is at Sea & he's been ashore a couple of times & he's like a kiddy in a sweet shop, everything looks "shiny":p so he's spent a bit, so haven't saved as much as I had hoped so far, he has been told he can re-apply to the RFA ( royal fleet auxilary ) he's on a secondment, which is good moneywise but not good familywise as we all miss each other so much, he hasn't been home since the begining of February & not due back until end of May:eek: next time if he gets accepted again, will be so we can move & that will definately be the LAST TIME, not going to be greedy, the kids are small & they miss Daddy & so do I.
When he got accepted this time, we were over £20,000 in debt the cards were full the overdraft was up to the limit & it was getting very scary, so although it's been awful & I've still had to cut back to the bone, it has really changed our life.
Comping again - wins so far : 2 V festival tix, 2 NFL tix, 6 bottles of wine, personalised hand soap, Aussie miracle conditioner

Married my best friend 15/4/16 :)

    Debt-free and Proud!
Ran a course today for my new business and have another £100 to add to the £160 I had in advance. Also had a good chat to my potential business associate (going to be independent but working together) and feel a step closer to being able to switch from the day job. It'll take a while because of the debt but the plan is clearer now and seems more achieveable. :j
  • Well done everyone on doing so well at this challenge.

I am hopeful for making an extra £200 payment at the end of this month, just waiting to see if this month throws any little surprises at me, if not I should be able to pay £900 off my credit card on 1st May (£700 planned monthly payment + £200 left from this month - fingers crossed)
£34,547 (Dec 07); Current debt: £zilch (Debt free December 2010)
    Sealed Pot #389 (2010=£133)
  • Good morning everyone.

    How are you all doing?

Nothing to update at the moment. DMP payment didn't go through on time last month, so next week should be able to update with a double payment.

Been really busy at work and didn't really have time to keep on top of things. I'm working my way through my email at the moment (only 850 to go!) catching up on surveys and things. Also, spent too much money on lunch and chocolate due to not having any time and being stressed!

Crunching the figures to see how much I can pay off miscellaneous debt next month. Reading all your posts is motivating me to be a bit stricter with myself next month than I feel inclined to be (got back into some bad habits over the last couple of weeks), but I'm telling myself it would be worth the effort.

    Have a good day everyone.

Afternoon all, well slightly chuffed as have some money go into my account, however not touching it as yet as its not due to clear properly till Monday and am not taking any chances by moving it as yet. So once its properly cleared thats £100 towards my challenge total.

Next month is going to be a tough month for me though as i am going part time, loosing eight hours a week, which adds up over the month, however it provides me with the freedom to do my voluntary work for my planned future career and to set up my business. So all very exciting, but a little worrying about where the extra money will come from now that i will be doing less paid hours. May need to tighten my belt a little more.

Everyone is doing very well and like Lamarsi said, its great coming on here and reading everyones posts as it helps keep up the motivaiton.
