Mothernerd also worth trying asd* might need a bit of patience once registered but they give people over 70 and/ or shielding regular slots each week. So they send you an e mail when bookings for slots are free and then when you go on to book they ask if you want it as a reoccurring delivery, weekly, fortnightly etc...
also morr1s0ns you can call your local store and they have a list of goods (staples) you can buy off them they will deliver the next day and you pay on delivery. Also for the over 70 / shielding.HTH.8 -
Afternoon everyone
Been a spendy day as i took advantage of a 20% discount and bought some summer work shoes, via £co so getting some cash back. Been to the co0p - quite annoying as saw 4 people shopping in pairs - one young, one older; thought going at 5pm on a Sunday would mean it was empty but had to queue to get in. Managed to get my list and DD1 will get the rest in Mr T tomorrow.
Been a nice day pottering at home, cleaning, decluttering etc. Due to overuse we seem to have broken our paper shredder so will have to look for a new one - my self employment role deals with confidential papers so i always have a lot of shredding. Oh well.
Tea is in the oven and we will go for a walk later this eve, we do like the peaceful evenings.
Have applied for an online savings account, interest rate virtually nothing but i want to put a little bit away into a separate account.
Gratitudes - DD2 making me a cuppa tea (rare event!), DD1 for mowing the lawn, technology so can have catch ups with friends, seeing garden pole vaulting on the news!!

Had a good day. Up bright and early and feeeling fresh as a daisy. I had a night of alcohol last night, which is very rare during this lockdown. Stripped the bed, walked the dog and back home to clean the house. I always feel better when the house is cleaned from top to bottom and I light a burner in every room as it’s cleaned. Sad I know. Had a little sit down and then on do do dinner and made the best Yorkshire puddings I’ve made in a long time.

Today I am grateful for a comfy bed, for my 12k kettlebell, for slobbing about (back to the grindstone tomorrow), for getting hold of stepdd1 in Canada, for some teeny tiny seedlings starting to show, for finally putting up the new net curtains we bought rather a long time ago.

Cooked for mum and me (gammon, new potatoes, baked eggs, peas and pineapple). Not a scrap left. Then forced myself to put my trainers on and walk home. Spent over an hour in the back yard digging soil out of a container into buckets and then tipping it into sacks (had 4 - the ones we used to use for paper before we got blue bins). Took 4 cards round to put through mum's cousin's door. Quick look in at the front door to see what DS3 had lined up for me.
Loaded the trolley, definitely overdone it but have some soil, some large plant pots (small bucket size), lots more plastic bottles, fairy lights, my own sheets, 2 of my candle pots and candles. Took ages to get to the top of the bridge, mostly going backwards dragging the trolley. Paused for a rest at the top then just as I started on the descent, I had a spillage. Large compost bin (very tall and thin so mostly used to hold plant pots etc when not in use), large black kitchen bin inside, large purple kitchen bin inside that, 3 paper sacks with soil in (that was supposed to act as ballast but didn't go down to the bottom of the bins), the box with my sheets in and a very large plastic bag full of 2l bottles that was tied onto one of the handles.
Pushed it to the rail of the bridge, manoeuvred the trolley round it and took that to the bottom of the bridge (just into the short street that faces the side of the bridge) and went back to deal with the spillage. A man came out of one of the houses and started yelling at me (I couldn't really see him). I shouted back (was very tired, I had trudged back up the bridge) that some things had fallen off, I had to go and deal with them so that they were not obstructing the bridge. Luckily I didn't have to take them very far - about 3 metres and then hauled them up and dropped them onto the grass. Then went back to my trolley. Stood outside the man's house and waved my hand (as I wanted to explain what had happened). His next door neighbour came out so I said I had left some things but would return as soon as I could in the morning but had to get back to mum's with the trolley before the door alarm was set. She was fine with it. I said her neighbour had misunderstood the situation, so hopefully word will get back.
Got back to mum's, locked the gate, lined up the 3 bags I wanted to bring in with me (DS3 gathered all the stuff last week or the week before so no-one has touched it for over a week), unlocked the door, put my bags in and the milk bottles out. Had to speak to the lady in the control centre as the alarm went off. Had a shower, didn't even attempt to stand up, soaped everywhere including digging my nails into the soft part of the bar, sat on the bath chair and ran the hot water all over me. Mum was just finishing watching something so waited for that to end and then retired to my room. Think mum has got sucked into watching the next programme.
