Good afternoon. Productive day so far 12,000 steps before midday, 2 loads of washing on the line before 9am. Had a lovely hour chatting with friends and now cuddling with the dog.
I have a couple more days relaxation before I head back to work on Friday8 -
It's been a quiet day here today. Did a bit of cooking, bit of cleaning, watched some TV and ordered some books for Himself's birthday (not until July but I like to be organised). I was intending to start being more strict with my eating habits until Next Door brought in a tray of home made and very calorific home made cakes. I'll start tomorrow, promise.
Grateful that Himself is making baked potatoes for dinner (to go with left over chilli). so that I don't have to do it.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.7 -
Hello
Well I've had a few days of sleep because I've been ill. Only I could manage to avoid the current most infectious disease on the planet yet still catch a cold having seen barely anyone for the past six weeks. I can only think it must have been someone in Sainsbury's... and I have a cracking cough but the test was negative. Anyway, I started feeling better yesterday and then got back into the work groove again today.
So I've done loads of work, dd has worked (still nagging ds) and a mini supply run to land of frozen foods for beige supplies for the kids. I still have a couple of things I want to get done for today (mainly clean bedding) but am pleased to be feeling almost normal again.
Gratitudes - feeling better, not having Covid-19, getting a load of washing done and dried on the line, feeling fitter on my walk and being productive at work.
Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

Ccl - I had a call back from the nurse at the dr's today as dd has caught herself a double ear infection. How??!! From a badminton racket...??!! So there are 2 of you avoiding the infectious bugs and getting your own ones!Today I am grateful for an over-the-phone diagnosis, for dh going and getting the prescription + meds (as I had to go to work), for a busy afternoon never sitting down that has shown me what my ankle can do (though I was barefoot all the time, as footwear hurts), for dd getting through the day and even doing a piece of hwk before I got home, for a sunny day, for a few more seeds producing sproutlings, for dh getting tea prepped so all I had to do was light the oven.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!8

Evening all. Had a day off today, don't feel like I achieved much but I actually did, I painted one side of the bathroom door, and filled a crack in the kitchen wall. Managed a 5k walk and a workout, and read some more of my book. I don't know why I feel like I should be achieving more! It might just be me feeling restless, I was meant to be in Amsterdam so perhaps I'm just unconsciously thinking about that.
Sending hugs to everyone who is poorly!8 -
Spent most of the day in the garden - been quite productive out there
Thankful for: DS1's help in the garden, getting things done, discovering gorgeous soil in the bed I dug over, line dried washing

Good evening!
Spent some of today with family, and the rest at home. Last week of my old job this week so is going to be very strange!!! I hope after the next 2 weeks are out the way I will be feeling more settled.
Today I am grateful for:
1) Catching Mum and Dad dancing on video (in their late 70s/80s)
2) For my endless supply of Huel haha!
3) For dating apps (even though I am not dating they pass the time lol)
Catch you all tomorrow x

Monday- NSD 3, I really really have to shop tomorrow- we have no fresh fruit and veg left, and the fridge is looking very sad and empty. Managed to scrape together reasonable meals today for the humans, and some of the many dandelions in the garden provided fresh supplies for the bunnies.
A few more bits and pieces added to the box ready for the charity shop at some stage.
Gratitudes- 10000 steps again, some time spent reading, some schoolwork completed, DD helping with housework- life skills which are at least as important as multiplication, tiny steps to decluttering the house made.
Virtual hugs and bowls of soup to all who need them as they recover from whichever random illness they have picked up- I agree CCL, acquiring a cold currently is reasonably impressive.9 -
Rested until lunch, reheated two baked potatoes for mum, I finished off the egg mayonnaise with thinly sliced red onion. Tried Icyland and the website said they released new slots at 11 am so played a game but kept an eye on the clock. Set mum up with her own account (old one was joint with partner) at this address (needed an email for her, took a while to find the details but discarded lots of old bits of paper) and having a delivery on Wednesday afternoon. Ordered quite a lot but in multiple categories - they had mum's washing blob things so bought two large as Wilco would only let me have one.
Told mum who said did we need anything. I said it was easier to have a few more options in, rather than me trying to guess what we will need in 3 weeks time. Then she started talking about brisket and leg of lamb (only because I will be doing the cooking). She turned down another offer of help this afternoon saying we had loads of food. Going to have the veg box ever other week but go up a size to get more variety. Did write out a Tessimo order last night but no delivery slots came up. Will also try B**ts again for otc medicines and creams and want to put a seed order in before it's too late. Last of my veg plugs are now on their way, but not the roses and lavender to make mum a little sanctuary garden.
All the bags of soil I brought last night/ this morning have been decanted into the 'grow bags' mixed with the new lighter compost (soil I brought from home is better than I thought but a bit 'dense' ). I also cut about half the 2l bottles but haven't cut planting holes
yet. Watered lots of things in the polytunnel. Watched a film with mum.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage8
