Sunday- mothernerd- that sounds like an eventful walk home.
I know there is no NSD target this month, but keeping track of them seems to help me so I'll keep a running total, currently on 2.
Gratitudes- a new (to me) TV program with multiple seasons to catch up on, DD helping to cook actual meals today (rather than baking cakes or biscuits), 10000 steps again, DD reading a bedtime story to my parents on a video chat, getting some veg seedlings repotted.8 -
Didn't get round to posting yesterday as was shattered and fell asleep on the sofa at a ridiculously early time. Was grateful for some rain (saved me watering the garden), another productive shift, having plenty of PPE at work, coffee, a Skype date with my mum and messages from friends.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86

Happy Monday everyone
We had a productive weekend, we finally got round to painting the bathroom ceiling as I promised my uncle the paint to do his, and we also pulled up the carpet in our cupboard under the stairs. We have had an ongoing issue with it smelling of weed since we moved inthere were two layers of carpet, one just put down over the other which we took out and made no difference, so I literally put neat Flash Pet cleaner on the bottom layer which made the smell go away for a month or so. Now it's back, so I cut around the built in shelving in there and pulled up the second layer of carpet, too. If it doesn't go away then I'm at a loss as to what is making the smell as it is now just concrete floor and shelving! It's a shame as it's a really handy little space.
NSD 1 yesterday as we did our shopping on Saturday, by which I mean we picked up the click and collect order. I'm getting tired of dodging people walking the wrong way in aisles and we always seem to pick up loads when we're waiting to pass people
I had 9 spare (!!!) cherry tomato plants so I popped them at the end of our drive labelled and they were all gone within 24 hoursmy strawberry seeds on the other hand, did absolutely nothing. I can never seem to get them to grow, and our local garden centre that is doing contactless deliveries seems to not have any plants available at the moment. One year, perhaps!

I seized it apple. Pulled clothes on, unloaded the trolley, unlocked the gate, did a shuffle with the trolley and bins (blue bin was pushed up to the gate with the bucket on top for the milkman to put new milk in and take away the old ones), trudged out of mum's street and down the long one that goes back towards the main road. Positioned the trolley as near as possible to where I had dropped the bins. Walked up the slope of the bank, moved the 2 bins and one 'compost bin' to the trolley, then the two bags of soil (being a foot higher than the trolley helped.) Walked back down the slope.
Sat on the bank. Watched a squirrel climb a fence and scamper along it. Walked back. Got everything back inside and padlocked the gate. Another sit down then fed the birds. Clothes into the part loaded washing machine, gathered juice, yoghurt and porridge oats, scissors and weed suppressant fabric, 3 books. Had a shower, climbed back into bed. Day seized by the throat and shook until it rattled. Everything hurts - back, shoulders, knees, ankles, arms, fingers and poor poor feet.
Going to play games, read, cut squares for the strawberry bottles (tower garden), massage cream into all the dry skin areas. If I feel energetic later on I may go out and start carving up plastic bottles and put the soil and strawberries in, ready for assembling into towers. Take stock, sort through some more random slips of paper and possibly order seeds (the old seeds have had a month, any that haven't germinated will be replaced (found 5 more mushroom boxes at my house and used another here + any on the windowsill that aren't shaping up.
Today I am grateful for getting stuff safely back to mum's, hot water, clean clothes, my own sheets (whether they make it onto the bed depends on my arms improving), seed catalogues and online shopping.

shabbychic12 feeling very similar. Working from home, getting calls from customers that they are back in their offices which I find surprising as I thought nothing official had been released about easing lockdown. My work don't seem to have any immediate plans to get us back in the office, and also thinking of requesting working one day a week from home when this is over. My commute is short, but I just seem to be able to get more housework done between finishing work and picking up LO from nursery. Waiting for call back from doctors as LO might have asthma, they said they are doing no appointments, so not sure if they'll try and diagnose her over the phone or just tell us to wait. Grateful for LO deciding that trying to walk through her dad's legs was more fun then walking normally, lots of giggling from my side and OH having to try not to fall over her, family quiz over video chat, video chat with my friend who was feeling down, council man attacking weeds on the pavement (I don't mind them but our neighbourhood f@cebook group often loses their minds over it) and finding a wildlife gardening ebook for 93p

mothernerd - it took just over 4 weeks for my courgette and pattypan squash to germinate this year. It was weird. I nearly emptied the compost out after a fortnight, and again the weekend afterward, but suddenly they all just started sprouting at the same time. Never had them do that before, I thought it was just dodgy seeds, but it was just being lazy. So don't be too hasty. Having said that it took 4 days for the cornflower seeds to be green and popping up. The same for the peas.Went volunteering this morning, took out £30 in cash - I think that will do me for the week - bought hayfever meds,Just ticking along, feeding everyone, cleaning, and getting stuff done,Had a pastoral care phone call from ds1s college, they have been told they will get 3 weeks' notice of schools opening up again, so they are waiting to see what occurs on Thursday and again on Sunday, and then they might know a bit more, but as of this moment, they are utterly clueless. Like the rest of us.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!
