Betharooni - Well done on the weight loss. That is fantastic. You put me to shame
Misstara - Hold on to that man. Anyone who gives you the last cherry bakewell is a treasure
Pollie - Haven't tried that one. Must keep a look out for it. I do like a nice gin.
Another beautiful day today. Spent a little while outside pottering with my plants and this afternoon watching some of my favourite films. Well, it is Sunday and Sundays are made for relaxing.
Today I'm just grateful for having a nice day, the roast chicken dinner that I am about to make and the cherry bakewell that I'm not sharing with anyone.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.7 -
Had a little wobble this morning. Shopping frustration - currently have a lot of fresh fruit and veg (due to stuff we asked for 2 weeks ago and SM shop ordered 3 weeks ago all arriving at the same time. However I need to stop up until midnight either today or tomorrow in order to get food delivered in 3 or 4 weeks (think Tessimo has offered slots for 4 weeks so queue will have got that much longer). I was up early enough to go to my house (7am and gloomy so thought there would not be many around) but my back and various other bits are still hurting. Sat weighing up the pros and cons of more trips with fewer items v greater exposure to other people (some of whom seem to think this is all a game).
Stayed here and have gradually regained my equilibrium (I did write a long moany post but thankfully it wouldn't post). Have spent a couple of hours in the polytunnel digging spare soil out of the strawberry bed, setting up a couple of my large foldable containers and watering everything. Did a shed audit this morning so I know what to use first. Two orders were delivered yesterday (just opened them) my toothpaste and toothbrush with 4 spare heads, the other is mainly birdfood, mum's wash tabs and some storage jars (going to extend my collection of dried pulses concentrating on the quicker cooking ones). Still waiting for a large garden order but they have sent messages about the delay.
Today I am grateful for having enough food, for my wants being few, for hot water to ease my aches and pains, for my polytunnel, for seeds growing (and plantlets).

Mothernerd - Have you tried Iceland for a delivery. I've managed to get them fairly easily for the next day and they seem to offer priority slots between four and five in the afternoon for those who are on the list. Not as good a variety as the bigger supermarkets but it might be worth a look.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.8

Afternoon all, didn't post yesterday, but didn't get up to much tbh. Did a workout and went for a long walk, then did various jobs around the house and watched TV with OH. Didn't sleep well last night for some reason, ended up on the sofa in the end, which I find remarkably comfy but then I got jumped on by the rabbits at about 6am so that was the end of any attempt at sleep!
Went to see my share horse early and went for a ride. Finally able to ride without hip pain, really pleased to be making progress. Came home, had breakfast and then fell asleep for two hours!!! Oops! Have done a few more jobs and now just reading a book called The Body Keeps The Score, it's about the impact of trauma on the brain, the body and our behaviour. It's fascinating but heavy going.
Today I'm grateful for a really peaceful ride on the horse with a good blast to clear the cobwebs away; listening to the birds; feeling generally quite relaxed; getting household jobs done; phone calls with family.7 -
I love Iceland and have done online and in store shops but when I tried them I couldn't get a slot and it would probably need to be a new account (they weren't taking on new customers) to this address and in mum's name - if I use my account and change the details it would have to be switched back when I went home. I may try them again, think I have set up mum another e-mail address since I tried last.
Thank you for the suggestion. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage7
