Hmmm I think I lost my post, it was a good one though. I think I had to go and help ds make fish and chips and sort out the strawberries - I am so full. SO thankful for wine with ginger beer, shade, reading, feeling inspired, even if I'm still fairly unproductive. Anyways had a great day off, and I counted 17 NSD days and an epic amount of money spent on food!Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Busy day, food shop, 2x volunteering, and general refereeing of childish strops and dh strops regarding ridiculous childish strops. Oh well. It passed the day! Red and blue mackerel sky. I will sleep well tonight.

Thai curry was lovely. Some left for another time. Hope the sort of chilli that I made up to use some things up turns out as well.
Found out today that my cousin's daughter is expecting her second baby in October so that's some lovely news in the midst of all this gloom.
apart from that not much happening here today.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.6 -
Today I am grateful for the paddling pool, for a good night's sleep, for a lovely walk, for ice cubes, for so much green.

Morning - loving my new book, will have it finished this afternoon. Read until half one this morning. Up at 7. 30.Not spending any money at all except for on Mondays at the moment. How good is that? Maybe I could carry this forward into the future reality. I have enough food in to see us until June, and I am putting off buying petrol until June as well. I have not had to fill up my car since the first week of March. It usually lasts a fortnight. So I have saved over £200 in petrol alone. Bonus!Nothing else to add really, weight loss finally becoming steady progress, sleeping badly, house messy (clean, but untidy) and I am having the rest of the month off. I shall begin anew on the first of June (that is Monday, in case anyone is lost in the timewarp) when normal service will resume. Until then, we have a rail replacement bus service running from the front of the station... and then a step to the right.....4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Hello
I've fallen into a teeny bit of a rut the past couple of days so am desperately trying to pull myself back out. I love the warmer weather, but it's really affecting my sleep at night. Plus I caught the sun a bit and that has left me quite worn as well.
Anyway, I've almost made it to payday again without being too stony broke but my finances definitely need attention. I have let things slip there since lockdown and need to prioritise.
Instead of moaning I am going to post my gratitudes today and remind myself that I am happy.
I am grateful for this time with my kids and cats, grateful for the sun being out and nice weather, grateful for having a decent boss that wants to make sure that school is safe rather than meeting a deadline, grateful for having hobbies during this time, and very grateful to my exam board that have agreed to make a payment to examiners to make up for lost exam marking money this year. Not what all exam boards are doing.
Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

Another beautiful day here today.
All the ironing done, more seeds planted, and tomorrow's dinner prepared. Tesco order done for delivery on Saturday. Most of it is store cupboard stuff which will be needed, if not immediately, will be shortly. Got a few more different recipes to try next week.
I'm in a bit of a rut as well, CCL. I'm hoping that getting out for a walk every day from the end of this week will help but I need a routine. I also need something to look forward to and plan. I really hope that we can get away in October. I'm not that bothered about things being opened up completely. If we can get food delivered and a change of scene it will make all the difference. But, as always, safety is the main concern and if it's not safe then we just have to put up with being here and finding a way of getting through this. I am amazed at how some people are so inventive at keeping on going.
Anyway chicken and wedges to be made and a Poirot to watch so I', off until tomorrow. Have a good evening.

Afternoon all, failing at not spending as bought a couple of Hello Fresh boxes (with a voucher but still) and ordered a new compost bin. OH wants to move them so decided to slowly empty one which is too big for us. Might list for sale if I have time to clean it. Grateful for work commission finally coming through, permission to go to the office to work on day a week (need a break from my bedroom), and for the cake that I am determined to make this evening6
