Oh, Mothernerd, I've looked at flylady in the past and I'm sorry to say that I am just too lazy to do all that every day. I try to be a little bit organised but I confess I'm finding it hard just now. No one coming to visit so I am kind of just leaving things.
We had a lovely Greek salad for lunch and there is a pork joint cooking in cider in the slow cooker with carrots, new potatoes and apples. Don't know how it will turn out but it's different and it looks nice. We're going to have it with steamed cauliflower and broccoli.
I've been catching up on emails to family and friends today. Just found out that someone we know (not very well but she is a lovely, funny person. A good friend of a relative.) contracted the virus at the beginning of March and spent five days in hospital. She's only just being allowed to start working from home and then for only four hours a day on the advice of her company doctor. That has really brought home to me just how awful this thing is. It seems to be random in who catches it and how seriously it is is when they contract it. Just seen on the news that Boris is giving a press conference in an hour. That should be interesting.
Is this a bank holiday? I've completely lost track.

Afternoon everyone, haven't posted for a few days as I don't have much to update! Managed to get the new car which is the main thing, neighbour had a bonfire the other day which got out of control (fire brigade had to come!) and covered it in ash so just spent two hours cleaning and polishing it. Feel like a bit of a saddo but then I figured the weather is good, why not spend the time outdoors. Also been getting on with some painting indoors, it's all done and I'm now thoroughly sick of DIY
Other than that I've had a couple of lazier days as just didn't have much oomph. Went horse riding this morning and boy was it busy, spent the entire time dodging people. Going to have to go earlier or much later in future...
Also been reading a lot and trying to stay positive. There was a nice phone in on the radio the other day about the positive things that have happened to people in lockdown, it was nice and lifted the spirits in these strange times. OH also got his self employed grant, it's more than we thought, it doesn't cover the work he lost but better than a slap in the face as they say!

Sorry for not reporting in on a regular basis. Trying to be careful about spending. Been keeping a total of my nsd's. Being resisting on buying somethings. Have enough food in until beginning of June. Trying to go out for a daily walk in local park. Catching up with jobs around the flat that I kept putting off and trying to keep on top of other things in the flat. Doing self care, eg meditation, reading books by my favourite author(which I have already on my bookshelf) to help with my mh. My orders have all been delivered, most of them are eco friendly cleaning products.Frugal Living Challenge 2025 Mortgage free as of 1st August 20136

Today I am grateful that it is half term, for windy weather, for roast chicken and baked potatoes, for a walk with dd, for the sunflowers shooting up overnight, for ebooks.

Today I am grateful for getting brassicas planted, for easy food from the freezer (just needed to get the timings right), for being able to clean the base of the shower and bathroom floor, for enjoying a new to me serial and one of the 'new' books that came in my parcel yesterday. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage5

Well, unfortunately, the pork dish wasn't as nice as it sounded. In fact, a rare occurrence in this household - we threw the leftovers in the food waste bin. I might try it another time in the oven instead of the slow cooker and use a very minimal amount of cider. Definitely needs a bit of tweeking. Tonight I'm doing Thai green curry and you'll be pleased to know, Apple, that a lot of the ingredients have been lurking in the store cupboard for longer than I care to admit.
I woke at five this morning with a splitting headache. It's caused by sinus problems so I know exactly what it is. Decided I might as well get up so on the plus side all the washing was done, hung up outside and dried by lunch time. I could really have ironed it as well but I'll save that pleasure for tomorrow. Some tablets and sprays and the headache has gone as well.
So, got a bit of housework done and at the moment I'm making something to eat for the wee ones. Their Mum's oven is broken, part hasn't arrived to fix it and off course they want some kind of steak bake thing that can only be made in the oven.
Getting towards the end of the month so I should really bite the bullet and see how much money we've spent that we shouldn't have really. I know it isn't anything too terrible but I've been a bit remiss at saying to myself "No, we don't really need that just now". I should really be starting to think about things to be done in June. A few birthday's coming up.
Well that's me. Off to see what Mr Cummings has to say for himself but whatever it is I'm sure he still isn't going to convince me that his journey was necessary.

Evening everyone
I've listed a load of things on the bay of e and read some of my book. Going for a walk later, when cooler. My new shredder was delivered today so i can continue disposing of my mass of paperwork.
Grateful for a sunny day that lifts the spirits (even if i'm too much of a paleface to sit out in it); finally sorting my stuff to sell; a quiet day at home; free cake from DDs' dad

Today I am grateful for the paddling pool, for a walk with dd, for Mission Impossible, for dd going most of the day without a tummy ache, for the way plants just grow.
