We we had a FarmFoods near us but we don't.  Nearest one is about 50 miles away I think.  Those eggs are really cheap, I'd be happy at that price.  I buy a tray of 30 large eggs every week and they cost me £5.90!

    Enjoy your picky tea bubbs!

That's a good price bubbs. We have a Farmfoods. I particularly like their frozen veg, especially sliced leeks. Enjoy picky tea. 🙂

You're not having a good week tie. A gain and the unruly pup! ☹️ Hope next week is better. 🙂

Glad your Internet has come back denise. It's become one of life's essentials.

I've had a successful afternoon. Pilau is in the freezer, brown rice is cooling and SC is bubbling away nicely. 😁

Morning all.  It's really windy this morning, we're forecast some light rain this morning but not looking like it at the moment.

Just looking into new phone deals as contracts finishing towards end of next month.  Unfortunately the broadband deal still has another 12 months to run!  Having said that the speed is pretty reasonable this morning, far better than it's been for the last couple of weeks.

Had a hungry day yesterday but didn't really have anything to pick at apart from fruit (or chocolate!) but I was good and opted for the fruit as really didn't want to use syns!  Hoping for a very low syn day today to get me back on track for the week!

    Today's plan:

    B - fry up - bacon, egg, mushrooms, tomatoes, beans - P; S; F
    L - burger & onions in WM roll - HEB; S; 0.5
D - lamb chops, roast potatoes, roasted carrots, peppers & onions, peas, asparagus & green beans.  The peas are from the garden and there's actually enough for a decent sized portion rather than just a taste

    HEA - milk
    HEB - WM roll
    Syns - burger 0.5

    Have a good day everyone.

    Hi everyone,
Didn't post yesterday as visited the outlaws (in their garden) for first time since 21 March. MIL made a Victoria sponge so had a piece with raspberries on side (a little bit of speed at least....). Were invited to some friends to have a takeaway curry in their garden. It won't be a surprise therefore to know I've WI today with a STS - actually think I dodged a bullet there given the off plan eating yesterday....
Lovely and sunny here with a slight breeze, so washing will go out on the line soon. Will be cooking roast chicken today and will also roast the veg (courgettes, leeks, carrots).
Hope you all have a lovely day.
    Coxy xx

Coxy It may have been a bit too soon after the off plan day to have affected your WI this morning.  You need to watch what you eat this week as well as it could "catch up" next week!

DH is going to cook both lunch and dinner on the barbie so that means he's cooking all meals today!  That makes a nice change.

The washing should dry lovely today if the wind is as strong as it is here.  We haven't had the rain we were forecast so unless we get it later than forecast that means having to water the pots again!

    Afternoon all :D

I have never had to say this before but....

I feel like i am failing 😰 i am still on plan but feel like i am struggling, i am not eating regular enough and then i am starving and shove what ever i can in my mouth (on plan not naughty) and don't know how to resolve it.
I am back at work but only 2 days but i also do other work that is taking up alot of my time.
I get up at 6.30 and leave at 7.30 every day still as take hubby work,( but that means the days i am at work i am starting later)then if i have anything to do i do that then come home , it is then mid morning and i am thinking lunch so that's breakfast missed, sometimes i do take overnight oats/weetabix but i always feel like i am rushing as because his hours are changed due to covid i then have to leave at 1.30 too pick him up!
Last week think i missed lunch twice, 1 was due to a bloody puncture!
Any advice welcome, i eat a tonne of fruit as it is, not keen on raw veg and don't eat bread as a rule
I know tomorrow is going to be one of those days, Tues i am at work, so that's 2 of the days😫
I am really missing actually going to a group now :( I know it can't be helped and is going to be a long time yet

bubbs it's really hard isn't it.  Do you not have time to do something in the morning?  You have an hour at home from getting up to taking hubby to work.  Do you eat cereal?  I know you don't often have HEB but if you could have a bowl of cereal or perhaps a couple of boiled eggs with asparagus.  Neither of which take long to make.

I know what you mean about missing group.  It is definitely much harder without going to group.  You've probably noticed I'm using far more of my syns on alcohol these days and it really needs to stop so I'm going to make more effort this week to use my syns on things other than alcohol!  Not saying I won't have any but definitely not going to be drinking every day.

What do you use your syns on apart from picky tea at the weekend?  You don't seem to have any others.

For your lunches could you make something the night before which you can just reheat either in a saucepan or in the microwave?  I often cook a batch of jacket potatoes and freeze them individually wrapped in foil.  If you got one out before leaving for work or taking hubby to work you'd only need to reheat and perhaps reheat some chilli, curry or beans or even just have HEA cheese on it, alongside one of your fab salads.

    Any help?

No i dont eat cereal and it will feel too much of a rush to eat, i get up have a shower, dry my hair every day and have really noticed how long it now takes to dry my hair as it has got long (for me) and is thick.
I use other syns on gravy , sauce etc
I don't really eat jacket potatoes , i will have to really think about this as don't want to cave in, the thing is the heat as well, ok today is not hot we have a roast but it's getting hot again this week and far too hot to have the oven on when it's over 32 degrees in here constantly 😱 that's why i have alot of salads in the summer
I would HATE to go back to group out of target, i am also not drinking enough because when i am out i always need the toilet and it's finding where is open although i know the supermarkets are open now, but if i have to que to get in i will be peed myself 😂😂 not a good look!!
I as a rule naturally drink 3-4 ltrs a day but at the moment i am lucky if it's 2 and i notice the difference in myself

I've had another thought!  Could you join in the Zoom meetings to help?  Although of course you need to WI or, as you're at target, you can say you haven't got any scales and just post MAINTAIN to keep your account open!  It's certainly an option to consider which might help you!

The toilet thing is definitely a problem though!
