Morning all!  Hope they relax the rules a little for you CTWD.  We have friends in SW Wales and they live just over 5 miles from the coast and are definitely missing walks along the beach with the dog.

Hope the head isn't too sore this morning bubbs, I've done the same thing to DH before and felt awful!

It's raining constantly here still so no chance of a walk this afternoon but will still get my workout in.  While the weight isn't going down as I'd like, I know I'm building muscle and retaining water with it so I'm trying to not focus on it too much.

B - Porridge (HEB oats and 1/2 HEA unsweetened almond milk), strawberries, blueberries, 1 syn choc pot
L - HM butternut squash soup
D - Nandos creamy pasta (chicken breast, nandos marinade (1 syn), pasta, peppers, onions, philadelphia lightest (2 syns))

Dinner is another inspiration from Instagram (really need to stop scrolling so much as it makes me hungry!).  I think the Philly syns are correct for a tablespoon but please correct me if I'm wrong!

Fingers crossed for tomorrow CTWD. 🤞🙂
I googled the pulle :p d pork recipe denise. What's put me off trying pulled pork before is trying to cut the fat off a joint. This looks easier with cubes. What cut did you use? I've got most of the other ingredients in but not allspice. DH loves pulled pork so I'd like to give it a go. 🙂
I used a shoulder cut into cubes.  Quite easy to cube once the skin/fat removed but of course quite a bit of waste.  It's definitely a do again recipe.  I think fillet might not be such a good idea bubbs as it's a reasonably quick cut to cook so not sure the long cooking would do it any favours, but if anyone tries it I'd be interested to know if it works!

Glad your head is OK bubbs.  That sounds quite painful!

Easy day for me today nearly everything from the fridge and freezer!  So today's plan:

    B - scrambled eggs & smoked salmon - P (no Speed)
    L - pulled pork roll - HEB; P; S; F
    D - spicy lentils, cod fillet - P; S; F

    HEA - milk
    HEB - roll
    Syns - weekend wine

Weather's not too bad this morning, a bit windy but at least it's dry and I can get my washing dry!

    Have a good day everyone.

Completely misread this as flea curry!

Well, gained 2lb, less than I expected considering what I ate the weekend, on a mission to get rid for next week.
A smile costs little but creates much :)

  • We were hoping the 5 mile travel rule might be relaxed here in Wales tomorrow,
Try being in Ireland, it was initially 1km, then increased to 4km, which got my poor mum absolutely no where! Had to theoretically break the law every time she had to go shopping. Thankfully can travel anywhere in the county now, but it was difficult at the time. Having said that, I do think they took decisive action pretty quickly which means that the numbers are quite low, so it worked.

GTQ what goes on quickly usually comes off quickly.  Good luck with shifting it this week.

Ouch! 1k wouldn't even get me to Tesco! I think we're allowed to travel further for essential shops/medicine, but nothing else. There's a wonderful bluebell hill 7 miles away, but random police checks for beauty spots so we missed it this year. Oh well, they've said to hang in there for another couple of weeks. I got very excited that our local valley was re-opening to local visitors, but sadly there's only one village within 5 miles. And police checks will be on the road in, so no chance.

Ruby That Nando's chicken sounds lovely!  GTQ it will come off quickly I'm sure, you're doing so well. :-

WI today and lost 3lb, so very, very pleased (and relieved, although still got to be careful next week). I'm into the next stone bracket - not seen since pre-youngest DS! - little dance-.

Wet and dreary again today. I need to pop into the office shortly to grab something but other than that it will be a lazy day. I'm hoping to persuade the kids out for a walk or bike ride later if it cheers up.

B - Spinach scramble with mushrooms
L - Soup or salad, depending on mood
D - Sweet potato/spinach curry (the spinach really needs using up!)
HEXA - milk. HEXB - not sure yet.
    Syns: Wine! :D (of course)

Well done CTWD that's a great loss.  I always put spinach in curry, not matter what else is in it!  I tend to use frozen though as the bags of spinach are just too big for just the 2 of us unless I plan on using it for lots of meals during the week, which doesn't happen often.  I often add some chickpeas or butternut squash (if I have one)  to a curry when I use  sweet potatoes.  Means there's some protein in it as well!

Ouch Bubbs that’s sounds painful! Sorry about the gain GTQ - but hopefully it will come off quickly.
TOTM came yesterday evening so not expecting a loss now this week as feeling bloated. I’m 50, 5’2” and currently 10,5. Want to be back to 9,7 if possible by Christmas but set 10st as a mini goal. Would be such a psychological boost to be under 10!
No run today as have booked annual leave - DH and I will go shopping for paint - such fun.
    Food is:
B - 2 weetabix (HEB), skimmed milk (HEA)
    L - ??
D - SW Turkey kofte kebabs, harissa spiced tomatoes, rice
Will get something for lunch whilst out - there’s a mini Tesco, so will grab some salad bits to have back at home.
    Have a good day all.
