Well done on sticking to plan though
It's all gone horribly wrong. Said toad-in-hole was left on the table. I ended up eating 2 sausages (think they were reduced fat, but even so...), the Yorkshire pudding, a fairy cake and 2 caramel freddos. :'(:'(  I don't know what got into me and now I feel rubbish. Complete binge-fest and I didn't even enjoy it. It's the first time since I started SW in earnest at the beginning of lockdown.

I'll really cut back over the next couple of days, but doubt I can pull it back before WI Friday.

Well done that is good, a good healthy loss is between 1-2lb a week. Do you have much to lose?
Lots I think am 5ft 5 was 5ft 6 til 50 at least I've shrunk one way! 10 st when I got married 16 stone now, so yeah a lot, I think that's why I thought I would lose more in first week.

Morning all!  Not so nice today, bit cloudy but at least it isn't raining.  Have got one machine load of washing out on the line and have the bedding in now which I'll hopefully get out on the line by about 9 o'clock!  As you can see I was up earlier than usual this morning!!!

    CTWD
    - don't beat yourself up as others have said.  Draw the line and start again today.  Don't let one day spoil your week.  Please don't cut back so far you feel deprived that is not the idea of the plan.  Please try to have a few syns each day, it will still help.  I often have to go low syn from Monday to Wednesday as I've had too many syns over the weekend!  Never get big losses but it can mean the difference between a maintain and a gain - and a maintain is better than a gain any day.

    Today's plan:

    B - bacon & mushroom sandwich - HEB; P; S; 3.5
    L - Green soup (LOs soup!) - S; F
D - Fakeaway KFC, SW chips, corn on the cob, baked beans - P; F (finally remembered to get the instant mash to try)

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
    Syns - butter 3.5

Have been really low syn this week, have just totted up and have only had 80.5 this week!  Does that mean a bigger than usual loss this week, I wonder!  Will see tomorrow morning!

Well done on the loss maz that's great for a first week!  I wouldn't be too disheartened as it sometimes takes a while to get your head completely around the plan so you may find that next week you get a bigger loss, but always remember that slow and steady is the way to go and a loss is still a loss.

Took myself off for a long-ish walk yesterday afternoon as my head didn't feel right (still a bit wobbly after our department team call).  Trying to get back in the game today and have another 1:1 with my manager today so will hopefully get a little more clarity on what he expects from me.

B - Porridge (HEB oats, part HEA unsweetened almond milk), strawberries, blueberries, 1tsp choc pot (1 syn)
L - Korean inspired salad (mixed leaves, carrot, "spicy" peppers and beansprouts, edamame, pickled cabbage, fried egg)
D - SW homity pie (potatoes, leeks, onions, peas, HEA low fat cheddar), Linda McCartney vegetarian sausages (1.5 syns)

Would have preferred to have the red onion and rosemary Linda M sausages but they didn't have any when I went shopping at the weekend.  I don't know why but we always have them with homity pie but DH requests them and it's one of his favourite meals even though he's the biggest carnivore I know!  Lunch is just my attempt to use some things up from the fridge and freezer; I put the "spicy" like that because I would usually use proper spicy pepper sauce but instead I'm using tomato puree and some chilli flakes with a little smoked paprika to coat the peppers and beansprouts in.  This time last year I was in Japan after spending some time in South Korea for a friend's wedding so I'm feeling a little nostalgic for that trip.

Hope you all have a good day - best crack on with some emails.

  • Good morning all, hope you are keeping safe. Not been here for a while as was absolutely snowed under at work due to hacking so was having long days and short weekends to get it all sorted. Thankfully now back to normal, which will give me a chance to catch up on reading the thread.

On the plus side, I have managed to maintain, which considering eating was hit and miss, I am more than happy about, although this week I am expecting a mega gain :( One of my uncles (he was like a second father to us and my parents second parents to my cousins) died last Friday, we knew it was coming but it doesn't make it any easier, made worse by the fact that we couldn't go home for the funeral. However, it was streamed live on Facebook on Sunday, so we gathered in little clusters so that at least we could feel as if we were participating, but it also meant food, we Irish do love a good celebration! But, I don't really care, got straight back on plan on Monday, so will take the hit and move on. However, if it is a huge gain, I am going to blame my brother! He popped into my aunt on Saturday and gave her half of his Christmas cake, so I had some of that, I make 18-20 cakes a year and never have any to eat, don't bother making one for myself, and somehow fall between every house when it comes to getting a slice! OMG, the smell of it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Will start to catch up later, but hope you are all managing to keep safe and svelte.
A smile costs little but creates much :)

So sorry for your loss getting there. That must have been very hard not going to the funeral too.

Thanks for the encouragement everyone and well done to all who have lost - a loss is a loss. To those that have and a bad day, be kind to yourself. Weight loss is hard dust yourself off and wipe the slate clean.

I have about 5.5 pounds more to loose maman.

    Plan for the day-
    Porridge and berries
Cottage cheese salad with beetroot, tomato, cornichons and sweetcorn.
    Chocolate rice cake bar -6
    Crisps 6
Homemade burgers new potatoes green beans carrots
    Greek yoghurt
