joedenise said:I use just some soy sauce, some fish sauce and some 5 spice on my stir fry. If you need a bit more sauce can add some water.
Sorry to hear that your creme friache split denise - that's why I stay away from sauces that use yogurt or quark in them because I'm scared of things splitting which just makes me feel a little queasy when I see it.
Had some cheddar (other half of my HEA) and leftover pineapple that was laying around in the fridge as an afternoon snack and now I've finished work for the day I'm going to head out for a walk to get myself moving before I tackle today's workout which I think is a combination of HIIT and lower body strength so I don't expect to be able to walk very far tomorrow!Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20171 -
Good to see you back posting ruby.
Hope your barbecue works out better than the lunch denise.
I think one of those pouches between 4 would be fine Coxy. My favourite HM sauce uses honey at 2.5. We all have to prioritise syns and more than that I'd find wasteful but that's my choice. You could thin it down a bit with some stock or water or a shake of soy. For another day, I did notice that the Coop do a chilli and ginger sauce for 5.5 syns for the same size pouch.
Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit (F), scrambled eggs (P), HEB toast, HEA milk
L- cold pork (P), 2 potatoes (F), fried veg and beetroot (S)
D- baked cod (P), SW chips (F), cauli, carrots, tomatoes mushrooms, green stuff (S)
Syns- HP sauce 1

Thanks for the suggestions re: stir fry alternatives. Will look for fish sauce when I’m next in Tesco as don’t think I’ve ever seen it in Aldi. I was overruled when cooking and two sachets went in(!) so 19 syns between 5 of us. Will syn 5 just to be safe. I’ve got the 105 syn bank on my phone and it’s proving very useful for tracking.More speed veg and lean pork than noodles

Evening all.
Not much going on today. We're still only allowed to travel 5 miles so today we drove to the local hills for a walk & picnic. Complete silence, stunning views and not a soul to be seen. I made fresh bread, cupcakes and flapjacks for the others but resisted myself.
B - Skyr, raspberries, blueberries, pomegranate seeds, 1/2 grapefruit
L - Ham speed salad, grapes, satsuma
D - Egg fried tofu & speed veg stirfry (soy, fish sauce, rice vinegar, stock cube, lime zest/juice, garlic, ginger, chillies)
HEXA: Milk for tea/small latte HEXB: I might have some almonds later but am feeling quite stuffed so might skip today.
Syns: 1 x sugar free mint. I'm thinking they might be 1/2-1 each? They were Trebor clear mints but I can't find them on google.
Only 7k steps so far today so I'll be going for a 4 mile walk later.

Had a lovely BBQ at DDs. As well as sausage and burger we had chicken, pepper and mushroom kebabs, salad and bacon and cheese skins. I took my roll for the burger. Counting the cheese in the skins as HEA2. Also had a piece of HM shortbread which I was surprised shop bought ones are only 3 syns but these were thicker so synning at double that! No alcohol as I was designated driver. So well within syns today.

Morning all. It's looking lovely this morning although there's a few showers forecast for around lunchtime but hopefully by then I'll have been out and done my shopping and be back indoors!
Planning on doing some more sewing of face masks later today. I'm part way through making 2 at the moment. Just need to do the pleating and sew in place and then they can go into the bag to be washed before using. Have made 8 now and planning on making a dozen so we have half a dozen each for when we go to France where they are compulsory when shopping - assuming of course the FCO have lifted the advice not to travel. Won't travel if it's still not advised as doubt travel insurance would be valid!
Today's plan:
B - cheese on toast - HEA2; HEB; P; F
L - Picky bits - chicken, smoked salmon, crabsticks, olives, salad; couple of Ryvita spread with quark - P; S; F; 4.5
D - Spanish rice (chicken, chorizo rice with paprika) - P; S; F; 3.5
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - cheese
HEB - bread
Syns - 2 Ryvita 3; Olives 1.5; chorizo 3.5
Have a good day everyone.1 -
Lovely looking good everyone.
1/2 pound down. So that makes 4.5 total. Getting there slowly 😁
Plan for the day
Porridge and berries
Tuna salad with carrot beetroot cucumber tomato and cornichons
Light mayo - 2
Supper- naked chicken fajitas with pepper onions, 30g cheese, avocado (7)
Greek yoghurtHave a good day!1 -
Loving everyone's food pics, might start posting some of my own if I can be bothered to make the food look pretty
Well done on the loss as well Orangetoes, slow losses are better than big ones I find; shows you're still making progress. Glad you enjoyed the BBQ denise, making me wish I'd planned one into this week's meal plan now.
Still trying to get back into the swing of working from home but we're getting there. Have dolled myself up a little today as I have to jump on a video call with my entire department this afternoon to talk about my experiences of redeployment. Have only met some of these people once before Covid so will be surprised if they remember me!
B - porridge (HEB oats, part HEA unsweetened almond milk), strawberries, blueberries, 1tsp of choc pot (1 syn)
L - Courgette, carrot and potato fritter, poached egg
D - LO lasagne (1 syn and 1 HEA), salad (mixed leaves, tomatoes, pepper, cucumber, red onion)
Really enjoyed my breakfast and lunch yesterday so have them on repeat today. Had my chinese style curry for dinner last night but swapped out my chicken for some baby corn that I found lurking in the fridge from last week. Only managed to eat half of my portion before I felt ridiculously full so will have the leftovers for dinner on Thursday, bulked out with some mushrooms and extra bean sprouts.

Well done on your loss orange. Really pleased for you.
Sorry if you've told us before but do you have much to lose?
Are the courgette fritters a SW recipe ruby? One of the things I'm missing from my holiday in Turkey is their mucver. They're the most delicious courgette fritters usually served hot with a garlic and yogurt dip. Yum! I'd like a recipe please. Also, do you know we can now have 2 HEAs every day?
I'm going to make the SW chicken and leek bake again today but with a few tweaks. I don't have a food processor so the grated potatoes were a faff. Instead, I plan to top the mixture with sliced potatoes and tomatoes and then grate some Parmesan on top.
Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit, skinny syrup, banana (F), HEB porridge, HEA milk
L- cold pork (P), 1 potato (F), fried beg and beetroot (S)
D- chicken & leek bake (P,S,F) with cauli and greens (S)
Syns- cornflour 1
