Well done on your 4 lbs CTWD!  That's excellent!  Isn't it great that we can have a celebratory breakfast that is so SW friendly. I think you've got the right idea to have mini targets. You should soon be seeing a different number on the scales.

Has anyone found out how to find a syns calculator on the new site? Presumably the scanner if and when it comes will work that out but I don't really trust SW.  They could easily add Aldi and Asda's 'slimming' meals to their list but they choose not to for commercial reasons.

It's really dark and grey here at the moment. I suspect that the highlight of my week will be ruined. I'm going to get wet queueing to get into Aldi!!

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit, baked beans (F), fried egg, bacon (P), HEB toast, HEA milk
L- sardines (P) with pickles (S), lentil and veg soup (P,S)
D- Fake KFC (P), SW chips (F), tomatoes, mushrooms, asparagus, broccoli (S)
    Syns- weekend wine

Afternoon all.  Was lovely this morning, really bright and warm but over the last hour it has definitely cooled down and getting darker.  It's also trying to rain - it's in the air!

Went shopping this morning at The Food Warehouse and Lidl.  Didn't have to queue at either of them, for a change!  Also had to go to the butchers to get eggs; it was the only place I had to queue.

Waiting for a call from the garage to get our motorhome back.  I spoke to them yesterday and they said it would be ready today but if it's much later I think it can stay there until Monday as the roads start getting busy around 3 o'clock!  So unless we get the call within the next hour then it can wait!

    Today's plan:

    B - cheese on toast - HEA; HEB; P; F
    L - lentil soup - P; S; F
    D - Fakeaway KFC; chips; beans; mushrooms; corn on the cob - P; F; S; 3

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
Syns - breadcrumbs 3; weekend wine

Never mind bubbs.  It's easily done.  I've no doubt you can pull it back over the week.

Sorry CTWD forgot to say well done that's a brilliant loss.

  • Aww Bubbs, I'm sure you'll be fine over the rest of the week. Sorry to hear about the knee, hope it's not too painful?

You were obviously so distracted by work bubbs that you forgot about the HEB!  Having a sore knee on the first day should help you make your mind up.

My syns are out of control in the first week arghh! Ordered old magazines from ebay, reading them last night it says up to 15 syns or up to 20 if over 16 stone. Am a quarter pound under and had I leaned heavily to the left on scales could well have been 16! So anyways having 20 a day this week, 15 from now on thought it was better than giving up x

Think it's probably quite difficult when you are borderline like that.  If you're only 1/4 lb under 16 stone that would probably show as 16 stone on SW scales anyway!  They only work in 1/2lbs!

I wouldn't worry too much about having had 20 a day this week.  Just reduce it to 15 this week and going forwards and hopefully you'll getting better losses.

Bought a couple of cheap bottles of wine in Lidl today and have opened one tonight.  It's one of their offers reduced from £4.65 (I think) to £2.99.  Have to say I'm not that impressed.  Just glad I didn't pay over £4 for it!  It's a Merlot which is one of my favourite variety's of wine.
