I'm another who was supposed to be on holiday!  We were due to go to Axminster for 3 days at the end of May and then on to Plymouth to catch the ferry to Roscoff to travel around Brittany for the whole month, so really should have been away for nearly 2 weeks with another almost 3 weeks left!

Just hoping we can get away for our holiday in September!

That's good news about your hairdresser phoning to book you in for next month.  Haven't heard anything from mine yet but can't see her getting back to work anytime soon as she's probably shielding as you has a lot of medical issues so suspect she won't be in any hurry to get back to work.

I tried phoning my hairdresser but they don't have an answer phone. They do have everyone's contact numbers so I'm hoping they may call me. My particular stylist only usually works 2 days a week but I'm hoping she'll up her hours to clear the backlog.
A bit off topic but we'll all be lighter when we get our hair cut! 🤣🤣🤣

If mine does it's alphabetically I shouldn't have to wait too long as my surname begins with B!  As long as I can get it cut before my September holiday I'll be OK.  It's definitely very shaggy dog at the moment but if it grows a bit more I'll be able to tie it back in a pony tail!

  • Evening all. Thanks for the recipe Bubbs, I'll be trying that soon.
Not much going on today. At work again, so sitting down all day and my legs really feel it. I took a little walk at lunch but am off soon for a longer one now it's stopped raining.

B - Skyr, strawberries, prunes (HEXB)
    L - Left over bean chilli, satsumas x 2
    D - Stirfry veg & quorn
    Syns - Freddo - 5 syns.
HEX - a couple of cups of tea, so I'll have the rest with a milky drink later. Maybe the chocolate shot syrup thing, or mix it with an Options for 2 syns.

Hope work goes ok bubbs and isn't too much of a shock to the system!

We've had to cancel a couple of trips this year which is sad but not the end of the world.  We really want to go back to America next year and normally would have booked it by now but holding out to see what deals and offers come up (and which airlines are still running!)

Had a bit of a fail yesterday and ended up eating 5 of the chocolate snack a jacks last night for no reason.  Wasn't hungry but just wanted them.  Thought I'd got past the emotional eating but it appears not.  Still today is a new day and I'm taking the pressure off myself; just going to carry on following the plan and see what happens:

B - Porridge (HEB and HEA), golden syrup (2 syns)
L - HM Chicken and vegetable soup
D - Mushroom risotto (HEA), salad bits
    S - Pineapple fingers, clementines
