Oh no - maybe the wraps are now syns?!
Forgot to say that I had the Aldi slimwell curry last night. It was big(!) but I enjoyed it. Family also had curry but sauce was an Aldi jar. Both meals looked identical - I like it when we all eat the same  ;)

Evening folks.  WI day tomorrow and I always get nervous and have a very speedy day beforehand. I'm not sure why, but always feel I couldn't have anything heavy like a jacket potato, even though I know it would be fine. Just one of my little quirks I suppose.

B- Skyr, plum, apricot, strawberries, prunes (HEXB) and 1/2 grapefruit.
    L - Ham speed salad, , satsuma x 2
    D - Naked fajitas
HEXA - milk for tea. It's cold and dreary so I've drunk lots today.
Syns: 1/2 square of a Lindt Excellence type chocolate (Tesco's own). I'm guessing 3 to be on the safe side?

Off for a rainy walk. I've been averaging 17000 steps the last few days so won't feel guilty if I get too wet and come back!

Glad you enjoyed the curry coxy. It is big for one person which is why with some extra vegetables (and rice and chips 😁), we share it.

I think lots of people have their habits before WI CTWD. I always try to do what I did the first day so same clothes, same breakfast etc. 🙂

I transferred to the app on my phone. It looks exactly the same as the website. Previously the app was easier to look up syns. Now I can't find them anywhere!!! Anyone found the equivalent of syns online? They asked for a username too but I don't see any sort of forum where you can ask questions. I could try 'contact us' but when I've done that before, they take weeks to answer. ☹️

No can smile again  the website is just !!!!!! 🤣🤣 it has a little wheat symbol by it that tells you its hex but, before when you put wraps in you got just that in the results, now you get all the filled ones like you buy in a sandwich bar so have to scroll through 100's of things unless you put specific name in, i was looking for hex wraps for someone on a slimming page before ifyou put wraps in you could easily see what was hex , you can't now :(

Haven't done shopping yet.  Got a short list but no point in going until tomorrow afternoon as I need to return the duck breasts to butchers because they were out of date (frozen just before use by date apparently but I'm not happy about that so I phoned them and they said keep them frozen and they'll swap them over but new ones not due until tomorrow pm).

I haven't got a lot on my list but will need to got to The Food Warehouse and probably Morries to get the rest.

Won't be trying the website again until tomorrow - I know what the syns are for what I've had!

  • I just had a lovely surprise. At the end of my walk, underneath a Slimming World A-frame, was a basket of magazines for people to take. I've got Jan/Feb and March/April now. A lovely idea from a local consultant. Even though I'm going it alone, I took a leaflet with her number so that I can text and say thanks. I'm looking forward to browsing through over the next few days.

We've got a 'beat the boredom' box in our road for books, games and jigsaws but what a brilliant idea to do it for SW. 😁

    Morning all.

WI day and 4lb loss! :)  Much bigger than I was expecting, but I'm still near the beginning with a lot to lose and I know losses will start to get smaller and more normal soon.  I'm tantalisingly close to my next target and hoping to reach it in the next couple of weeks. I'm tracking via the NHS app because the graph on top of the colour grid helps me visualise where I need to be more than just figures. (My son keeps asking when I'm going to go past red and reach yellow.) Although, it could be a tad more encouraging each time I check in. "You've lost weight since last time but you are still in the obese range". Yeah I know, but an occasional "well done" wouldn't hurt! :D

I'm enjoying the magazines from yesterday and have seen some yummy recipes to try so I'll be triaging the freezer/cupboard to see what I can make. Paprika pork and wedges sound delicious.

B- Almonds, 1/2 grapefruit, apple, small latte (HEXA, HEXB)
L - Either ham salad or leftover lentil/veg soup, depending on how cold I feel
D - Salmon is defrosting but I'm undecided how to have it. Probably with lemon and veg/wedges.
Snacks - fruit/carrot stick if needed
    Syns: Friday wine :)
