What have you actually put in your veggie chilli this time maman? I think you make it differently every time!
I can understand you not getting fed up with your cold meat & bubble & squeak because it's different every time! How on earth did you get 10 different veggies on your plate for Sunday dinner? We had 6 or 7 this week and the plates were overflowing!

joedenise said:Bit of a change of plan at lunchtime for HEB - only had large loaf in the freezer so 2 slices so that's HEB + 2 syns, on the plus side it's -1 syn as decided against brown sauce; decided it wasn't necessary with caramelised onions. Bonus was DH cooked the sausages and onions on the BBQ so didn't even have to cook myself!
Don't you ever get fed up with salad bubbs? You seem to eat it lunch and dinner every day. I'm not as keen on salad as that, much prefer vegetables!

Today, I added red and white kidney beans and a tin of butter beans as well (all P). As well as the onions and tomatoes there's red & green peppers, celery, mushrooms, courgettes, carrots, baby corn and diced broccoli stalks!
Sunday was exceptional as I braised the lamb on a bed of parsnips (F), leeks and carrots and then we had broccoli, cauliflower, swede & carrot mash, red cabbage, green cabbage, white cabbage, kale and spring greens. I don't use whole cabbages or cauliflowers etc just about half for one meal (and leftovers) and then keep the rest of them in the fridge for later in the week. I like a mixture of cabbages and kale all chopped together, far more interesting than one on it's own.

Ooh - skewers! I might give that a go this week. :-)
It was tough, but I resisted the cakes/buns completely and the urge was gone today. *feeling virtuous*. Although my son has just made tuna crunch bake and cookies as part of his Scout group and wants me to try them. I think I'll have to maybe have a spoonful of the tuna thing and use that for my syns.
Today:
B - Skyr, strawberries, raspberries
L - Green salad, pastrami, chillies
D - Boiled eggs x 2, asparagus, grilled mushrooms topped with parsley and HEXB cheese
HEXB - not today, HEXA - not today.
Syns (so far) - 1/2 caramel freddo (2.5)

Ooh thosesthose skewers look amazing!! Working and homeschooling is so tough, so haven't had a moment to plan today
So today I had..
Breakfast-
2 babybel
BananaLunch-
Cottage cheese and speed salad
Nectarine
Crisps
Banana cake
Supper- halloumi and speed salad
Pineapple
Banana cake (again!!)
I'm sure I'm over my syns but at least I had lots of fruit and veg.
Glad today is almost over!
Hope everyone had a good day x1 -
CTWD Cheese is HEA not HEB, so you had one of your HEAs (assuming it was 30g of normal or 40g of reduced fat cheddar).
It's easy to get confused at first but HEA are for Calcium so milk and cheese.
HEB is for Fibre so things like bread, nuts, seeds, dried or cooked fruit.
Orange depending on how much banana cake you had you may well be within your syns! If it's a shop bought banana loaf cake (6 portion) then each portion is 6.5 syns. If it's homemade it's quite easy to work out the syns - just tot up the syns for each of the individual ingredients and divide by the number of portions. It's worth doing.
If you can try and keep the syns low for the next few days you can pull it back and still get a small loss or at least a Maintain.

I always think the B in HEB stands for bread. Then the other one is the dairy. 🙂0

Finely grated cheese is definitely the way to go! That's what I do otherwise it looks really miserly, especially as a lump!
There's a definite change in the weather this morning, much cooler and cloudier although the forecast for this area is no rain, been saying it would rain for a few days and now it's changed again! Was really hoping for some rain to save me watering the garden and the pots and get some water in the water butts.
Had another day on plan yesterday so that's 6 days in a row! Now can I do it again today to make it the full week? I think it's helped not having any wine and drinking rum or gin with diet mixers as they're so much lower in Syns. Hoping for a good loss tomorrow and being a bit nearer to bottom end!
Today's plan (not much proper cooking going on today!):
B - boiled eggs; soldiers - P; HEB
L - carrot & lentil soup - S; P; F
D - chicken curry; rice - P; S; F
HEA - milk
HEB - bread
Syns - none planned but will definitely have some Syns
Denise
