Had a lovely time with my friend but it was definitely very cold sitting in the garden!  Stayed a couple of hours but was definitely glad to get back in the car with the heater on  :).  We have DD2 and her partner coming down tomorrow for lunch.  Was going to do a BBQ and salad but have decided it will be easier to do steak, jacket, onions & mushrooms.  Jackets I cooked earlier in the week and frozen so they'll just need reheating,  So it's going to be another couple of hours sitting in the garden but fortunately our garden is quite protected so not usually too windy.  Think it's supposed to be a little bit warmer as well.

Evening all, WI with 1lb gain 😡 not happy as stuck to plan ( also tracked calories and was under target all week 😤).
Been back at work for 4 days and don’t I know it! Back & leg pain so bad I’ve been hobbling so wonder if there’s inflammation inside. Also been flipping cold as we have to have doors & windows open for ventilation. His nibs returns next week for 2 days &because of the ‘bubbles’ I get him full time 🥺. Trying not to think about it as sends my anxiety through the roof.
    All very strange 😳
Not liking this cold/wet weather 🥶
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Such a shame that easing the lockdown coincided with a change in the weather denise. Last weekend would have been perfect. Hopefully, the sun will be back soon.

I'm having quite a synful dinner tonight. It's such a shame that we can't carry over HEXs otherwise I'd be fine.

I'm allowing myself to relax a bit here and there. I think we're doing really well to stick to plan at the moment. Normally, as a target member, I'd let myself have a few extra syns with meals out so as that's not happening at the moment we're having one or two at home especially on a Saturday. Like the wine, it helps to make the weekend seem different from every other day.

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit, skinny syrup, banana (F), HEB porridge, HEA milk
    L- veggie omelette (P,S), ham (P), beetroot (S)
D- boiled gammon slices (P), SW chips (F), cauliflower and broccoli cheese (S)
Syns- HM cheese sauce ???  weekend wine

Morning all, weather doesn't look too bad this morning but think it's forecast to rain again this afternoon but hopefully it'll stay dry whilst DD2 and her partner are here.

    Today's plan:

    B - fry up - bacon, egg, mushrooms, tomatoes, beans - P; S; F
L - steak, peppers, onions, jacket - P; S; F (DH will cook on the BBQ - the jacket is already cooked just needs crisping up)
    D - cheese salad roll - HEA; HEB; S; 0.5

    HEA1 - milk in teas
    HEA2 - cheese
Syns - LTL mayo instead of spread 0.5; not sure what else I'll have but will definitely have something

Thanks for the heads up bubbs. I'm not a regular Tesco shopper myself but I still remember when they changed the pulled pork recipe and it shot up in syns. I think it went from free to about 13 syns!!! Fortunately, still many other lamb shanks available in other supermarkets at fairly low syn. Has anyone tried any of them?

It's dry and bright here and about 18 degrees so hoping to get out for a bit. Hope you have a nice afternoon with your DD denise.

    Hi everyone,
Didn't manage to get on yesterday. Sorry about the gain TIE - keep going, you're doing really well. Could be water retention like you say, being on your feet all day - hugs xx
I didn't run yesterday - cold and windy and wet. Meals were:
B - 2 weetabix (HEB), skimmed milk (HEA)
    L - mushroom omelette, lettuce, tomatoes (S, P)

D - pork chops and gnocchi - N!gella recipe, so syns! Lean pork chops, dry fried in griddle pan and kept warm. Deglazed pan with 200ml cider, added two tbsp grainy mustard and some single cream. Served with plain gnocchi. This served 4 of us. Can't find plain gnocchi in the book - does anyone know the syn value please? Cider, cream and mustard comes to 16.5 so between 4 of us 4.5 syns. Also had a small glass of white wine (5). So syns, excluding gnocchi is 9.5. Served with broccoli and green beans (S).

It's our wedding anniversary today - 23 years(!) Didn't run this morning as hayfever is bad and I slept in.
B - 2 grilled lean bacon, mushrooms, fried egg (using frylight) (P, S), ketchup (1)

    L - curry loaf, lettuce (0.5, S)
D - roast chicken, SW roasties, parsnips, carrots, peas, 2 value Yorkshires (5?)
Syns - glass of something fizzy to celebrate!
HEA - skimmed milk for hot drinks
    HEB - no idea!
Oh and it's WI day today and I lost 2lbs this week so very happy with that! :)
Hope you all have a good day, especially those seeing friends and family. I will visit a neighbour later with my flask. We will sit in the garden and put the world to rights!
    Coxy xx

Afternoon. all.  DD and her partner arrived about 10.45 and have just left but weather was dry up until then.  Just started spitting so we've seen them off and come indoors.  Started getting windy about half hour ago but other than that was quite warm most of the time!

Lunch was lovely.  DH managed to cook all the steaks how we like them - DD likes hers' rare; DH and I like ours medium rare and DD's partner likes his medium.  Potatoes didn't crisp up as much as I'd of liked but they were still good.  Used a few syns for some butter on the potato.  Made an oil free vinegarette for the salad.

Thanks for the heads up on the Tesco lamb shanks.  Don't buy them very often but when I do I tend to buy the Iceland ones which I think are 3.5 for the Extra Large ones.

Will probably have a couple of rum and ginger beers this evening to use a few more syns.

    Denise
