Loving all the photos - was that a crustless quiche or tortilla? Thank you bubbs for the gnocchi info. We only have it once in a blue moon, but good to know syn value.
Didn’t have any lunch in the end as neighbour kept me talking until 3.30pm. I had to rush to Tesco for skimmed milk and got myself a snack pack of sushi (4 pieces). Think that’s 1 syn?
Roast just being dished up - good job as I’m famished!!
    Have a good evening all

It's rare that I'm the first to post. Usually others are up and about shopping and washing while I'm still having breakfast!

Easy day for me today as meals are either leftovers or from the freezer. It's worth putting the effort into a bit of batch cooking.

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit (F), scrambled eggs (P), HEB toast, HEA milk
L- cold beef (P), 2 fried potatoes (F), fried veg and pickles (S)
D- veggie chilli (P,S) with brown rice (F), cottage cheese (P)
    Syns- HP sauce 1

Well done on your 2 pound loss orange but ouch to the frankfurters.
It's always worth having something like  bananas or satsumas that you can grab and go for times like that. When I was getting to target I'd have them in my bag in case I was hungry and tempted to buy synful snacks when I was out.

Afternoon all!  Have done washing this morning and it's out on the line!  No idea whether it will actually dry or not as there's not much wind and it's very cloudy!

Well done orange on the 2lb loss.  I never eat frankfurters, don't even have them in the cupboard!  Much too high in syns to warrant house room, LOL!

    Today's plan:

B - kedgeree - P; F; S (didn't eat much as put too much curry powder in it!  couldn't even cool it down with yoghurt!)
    L - carrot & lentil soup - P; S; F
D - HM faggots in onion gravy, mash & green veg of some sort - P; S; F; 1.5 syns

    HEA - milk
HEB - not planned but may have a couple of Alpen Lights later if I want something
Syns - breadcrumbs 1.5 syns; not sure what else if anything

Your lunch looks yummy coxy. And well done on the PB. 👏👏
Any way you could get some Speed veg into your dinner as you'll have only had that salad today. I generally bake some tomatoes and mushrooms (and sometimes a microwaved onion) alongside the chips for the last 15 minutes or so, or perhaps some more salad?
  • Well done Orange, and for the 5k Coxy!

Back to homeschooling (well, attempting/pretending to!) Washing on the line, and 3 basket loads from the last few days to sort out still. We've been for a walk as the frustration levels always rise when trying to get them to do any school work. I'm having a rare hungry day today so need to keep active before I become a human hoover!

    B - Skyr, strawberries, blueberries, 1/2 grapefruit
    L - Veg/cheese omelette with salad. (HEXA). Satsumas x 2
D - Homemade burgers with celeriac coleslaw & runner beans for me. Homemade rolls and wedges for the others. I'm going to try to get one of them to help make them soon and count it as life lessons- anything to get them engaged!
    HEXB - undecided
Syns: Quavers - 4.5. Possibly a small leftover glass of wine later, depending on how far I walk and how much I feel I 'deserve' it.

I meant to ask CTWD, is the celeriac coleslaw similar to the French remoulade? Is it a SW recipe? 😋
  • It's more a coleslaw without the onions to make it sweeter. It should have had a lot more celeriac in, but it had started to turn so I had to cut a lot off before I used it.  Basically carrots, white cabbage and celeriac shredded. Mix in lemon juice (I used 1/2 lemon), a good grind of salt/pepper, a couple of dollops of f/f natural yoghurt and 1/2 tsp mustard powder. It's not creamy like coleslaw but nice and sweet and crunchy. I really miss luxury creamy coleslaw but no SW recipes I've found compare, so I figure I might as well go for something different. :-)
