joedenise said:My last lot was very vinegary bubbs but this time it tastes OK. What vinegar did you use? I found I needed to boil it very hard at the end to get rid of some of the vinegar. I think next time I'll use a bit less vinegar.

Well done on your loss esmy. 1.5lbs isn't to be sniffed at!
Will post menu later.

esmy - that's not a bad loss at all, I'm over the moon if I hit 1.5lb! Weather must be better where you are as it's still really cloudy and not very warm here, certainly not warm enough to sit in the garden!
I don't use any malt bubbs just balsamic and cider vinegar. I think it's probably the malt that's making it taste vinegary. I used 200ml balsamic and 300ml cider vinegar. I think next time I'm going to cut the cider vinegar back to 250ml and see if that makes a difference. My recipe said cook for an hour until vinegar goes syrupy! I cooked mine for 1 hour 30 minutes and still needed to boil it hard to get it to go syrupy but it's definitely better than when I used a mixture of 3 vinegars last time (because I hadn't got quite enough cider vinegar and topped it up with red wine vinegar but obviously it didn't work!).

Evening All
WI with half OFF 🤗, better than I thought. I had a day in work this week which was nice but wiped me out 🥺. I have also been doing 10 minutes on the stationary bike (except the work day as I walked to work and also put my back out the day before 🥴. Nothing to do with the bike though. Will try to keep it up though!
Have to do a zoom meeting next week which I don’t really want to do 🥺, not keen on video stuff.Lovely day here but people are getting too complacent. Families shopping (parents & kids) more traffic about, people going out more than they should. What is wrong with us 😡
Moan over
Have a lovely weekend all 🥰Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Absolutely agree TIE there are a lot of people not social distancing. When DH and I go out for our walk we seem to be the ones having to move away from others who just don't seem to be bothered. Today we were walking along a river bank and there is like a "bowl" on one side of the bank and a slope down to the river the other side and a couple of youngsters decided to come up to the bank from the "bowl" just in front of us so we ended up going back a bit while they crossed over to run down the slope the other side to the river! How they didn't end up in the river I don't know! Would have been funny if they had.

Perhaps that's what it was Denise, Don't know if i will make it again DH still moaning this Morning about the smell 🤣🤣 unless i do it first thing on the hob and hope the small has gone before he gets homeSealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance:0

I sometimes think the SC leaves the smell hanging around far longer than if you just do it on the hob. If you do it when the weather is nice you can at least have the windows and doors open!

That's a step in the right direction tie. 👏What was it that wipes you out by the day in school? Is 'his nibs' there, as I'm assuming he falls into the vulnerable group?
Social Distancing seems to be better in my area. On our riverbank walk yesterday, everyone was really good about stepping aside. There was even a group of loud, young lads who obviously weren't from the same household but they did stand aside and give everyone space. The worst place is the supermarket where the staff seem oblivious of customers. ☹️
Today's EE plan -
B- NAS grapefruit, baked beans (F), fried egg, ham (P), HEB toast, HEA milk
L- JP (F), cottage cheese (P), spring onions, pickles (S)
D- HB steak (P), SW chips (F), mushrooms, onions, broccoli, mange tout (S)
Syns - weekend wine 🍷😁
I only had a minimum of the gravy from the HB steak so I've frozen the rest. I count it as syn free as a tsp of cornflour between 2 of us over 2 meals isn't worth calculating. 😁2 -
Morning all
I think more people are getting fed up and that causes complacentythere are ALOT more people about now and traffic when i take and fetch DH.
When i was in Aldi last week the sales assistant jumped straight infront of me, then she apologised and said so sorry i was getting excited for a bargain, i should be 2 mtrs away , she was getting 9p easter eggs 😂😂 but i had already got what i wantednot for me i might add, i got them for the refugee to give the kids a treat, they were in my possession for less than 5 hrs so no temptation 😂
Well done to the losersi feel thin and 2 people have asked if i have lost more weight? so who knows?
I am going to get the oven on soon as its going to be a scorcher today, been awake since before 6, washing is nearly done

So what you cooking today bubbs? You're right about the weather as it's already really warm here and no wind either which always means it feel much warmer.
I think you're right about the complacency of a lot of people now but we'll continue with the social distancing and stay well away from other people whenever we're out.
No washing for me today as I did 3 loads yesterday and got it all dried, including 2 lots of bedding (one from the caravan which I hadn't got round to doing!). That's going back in there today but I won't be making the bed until we know we can get away again. Going to start giving it another clean and there seems to be quite a few cobwebs and it's very dusty!
Today's plan:
B - fry up with sausages - butchers sausages, egg, beans, mushrooms, tomatoes - P; S; 2
L - cheese salad roll - HEB; HEA; S; 1 (for mayo instead of spread)
D - roast lamb, roast potatoes, roasted veg, cabbage, green beans - P; F; S
HEA1 - milk in drinks
HEA2 - cheese
Syns - sausages 2; LTL mayo 1; couple of rum & ginger beer 5
