I've found the Food Warehouse to be one of the better places to shop during lockdown as it doesn't seem to get overcrowded and I can get most of what I want from there, both fresh, frozen and some groceries.  Usually have to nip to Morrisons for a few bits that they either don't have or don't stock.  Doing it that way round I only need a basket at Morries usually so get in and out really quickly.

He Is beautiful! We got a rescue dog just before lockdown and it's definitely helping us get out more.
I hit my target today with 13716 steps and a (gentle!) 5k bike ride. Nothing strenuous as we're lucky enough to have a bike-friendly, very flat route close to our house. I've not been on a bike for a couple of years but my son wanted to go and I'm trying not to be the mum that always says no. I quite enjoyed it though and might aim to go a couple of times a week. I don't think I could manage hills at the moment!

    Today's food:
    B: Skyr, strawberries, apricot, plum
L: Salmon (to finish up the packet), green salad, capers, squeeze of lemon, satsuma
Dinner: Naked fajitas - chicken, peppers, onion, courgette in fajita seasoning, served with lettuce, grated carrot, cucumber, chillies, sweetcorn and HEXA of cheddar. (Everyone else had wraps, but I'm happy to save the syns)
    HEXB (oops, forgot again)
Syns: Quavers 4.5, plus a couple of cups of tea so counting 2 for the milk. Total 6.5

    Morning all!
I've avoided Tesco too. Aldi and Lidl have had much shorter cues and have always been well stocked.
    Plan for today-
    Breakfast- 2 eggs,baked beans, tomato
    Lunch - salmon and salad
    Babybel light
    Strawberries, blueberries
Supper - homemade burgers new potatoes, carrots, green beans
    Almonds

Just lost the what I'd posted so I'll try and remember what I typed, LOL!

TIE the pups lovely, thought he was a bit older than that as ears are so pricked up, normally that doesn't happen until they're about 9 or 10 months!  That's a nice thing to do for your nephew, don't think I could foster a dog!

CTWD you can have a Weight Watchers wrap as a HEB.  I just interleave them and put back in the pack in a freezer bag so I can just take out one at a time - they tend to stick together if you don't separate them!  They make a change from just sliced bread!

Ended yesterday on 11.5 syns as decided to have some butter on my corn on the cob, wish I hadn't bothered as I didn't enjoy it anymore than I do when I just have black pepper so a waste of 5.5 syns!  Shan't bother again, I'll just stick with the black pepper.

    Today's plan:

B - stuffed mushroom - couscous; chopped tomato, mushroom stalks, spring onions; veg stock; topped with cottage cheese - P; S; F
    L - corned beef & salad sandwich - HEB; S; 2.5
D - fish pie using cauliflower cheese sauce (hope it works as haven't done it before!) - P; S; F; HEA2

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
Syns - corned beef 2; mayo instead of spread 0.5; weekend alcohol (either gin or rum depending what I fancy later)

    Have a good day everyone.

Ooh, I didn't realise about the wraps JoeDenise - I'll look out for them. I've been mostly avoiding bread and choosing prunes/nuts/seeds for my HEXB but the idea of a proper fajita does sound appealing. :-)
I just celebrated with a cooked large cooked breakfast, and am feeling suitably stuffed (a bit too much tbh!)

Breakfast: Spinach scrambled eggs, baked beans, mushroom, 1/2 grapefruti
Lunch: Not sure yet - either pastrami, salad + pickles or if I'm not very hungry some skyr/fruti
Dinner: Bottom of the fridge veg curry (ie, whatever I can find) and cauliflower rice (it's been lurking and definitely needs using up!)

    Syns: - Wine!
  • Mmm, can't edit my post for some reason? I forgot my HEX. HEXA - milk for latte. HEXB Rhubarb with some FF yoghurt. (Lots of reduced rhubarb at Aldi yesterday)

CTWD You get absolutely masses of cooked rhubarb for your HEB!  I always find it far too much so usually syn it and have something else instead!

Talking about HEBs if you do burgers did you know that you can have 60g roll as HEB?  I use the M&S ones but as I don't go there very often I buy a dozen at a time!  They used to be £1 for 6 but when I went in a couple of weeks ago they had gone up to £1.20 for 6 so still not a bad price @ 20p each (far less than a baker's roll!). I wrap and freeze those individually but in a big bag so they are easy to remove.  Always think a burger tastes better in a bun than just on the plate, LOL!

    Hi everyone,
Thank you for looking up the cottage cheese syn value joedenise - not too bad then!
I'm loving all the talk of burgers, bread and wraps - just anything food related really!
No running for me this morning.
B - 2 weetabix (HEB), skimmed milk (HEA), sweetener, banana
L - cous cous, lettuce, cherry tomatoes, tbsp dressing (some syns there)

D - lemon and pepper baked haddock, jacket potato (1), veg - need to go to farm shop for veg as we don't have any in!
    Snacks - apple, satsuma
Might have a sneaky weekend rum n pepsi max later as I'm running a fundraising quiz on Zoom and I'm really anxious about it!

Not seen that couscous before.  I have a couscous flavouring mix which I bought when I was in France a couple of months ago (had to come home from holiday because of lockdown, boo!).  Where did you buy it?

Enjoy your rum & Pepsi later, I like rum and diet ginger beer but it has to be Old Jamaican as the shop's own brand hasn't the got kick I like!  I shall be having some this evening probably.
