@Orangetoes - Yes GF pasta is Free as long as it's dried - all dried pasta is free.

Glad the chicken defrosted enough to separate it @bubbs!  Wouldn't be Friday without KFC :# !

Just finished my pizza toastie and it was really nice!  Have to see DH's looked much nicer as his was a proper HM one!  He made the base himself and made enough for 2 good sized pizzas so half of it has been wrapped and put in the freezer for another day!  Think I'm going to be sharing that one with him when I finally get to bottom end!!!

I made a syn free tomato sauce using a tin of tomatoes (can use passata but didn't have any!); onion, garlic, dried basil & oregano, bay leaf, dried shallot flakes, dried garlic powder & some water.  Sprayed pan with Frylight and softened onion for a few minutes and then added chopped garlic and fried for a couple of minutes then added the tinned tomatoes, dried herbs, bay leaf and water and then cooked for about 30 minutes until thickened (would be better if cooked for even longer but didn't have time!).  Remove bay left and then I blitzed it with a stick blender. I just used HEB of bread for my base but have done it with HM naan before now but didn't make that as DH was making his own bread base!  Our kitchen hasn't got enough work surface for us both to be using it at the same time!

I just topped it with the tomato sauce, various sliced stuff from the fridge like peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms and then chucked on some almost defrosted cooked prawns and grated some cheese over the top (usually I'd use HEA's worth but because I'd used some for omelette this morning I had to split it!).  Obviously you can use anything you've got to top it such as ham, bits of chicken, roast beef but I didn't have any meat in the fridge, not even a bit of bacon or ham!

Cooked in the oven for about 8 minutes.  Served it with half plate of salad, including mixed leaves from the garden.

When I did it with naan bread I just did it as a frypan pizza, ie mixed the flour with bit of salt and natural yoghurt to a dough.  Fry one side in the frying pan, turn over and then top before putting under the grill or in the oven.

Being a law abiding citizen, I'm having KFC tonight!

mse is playing up for me again. I keep having to log on every time I visit the site although I usually stay signed in.

Did my weekly shop at lunchtime today again. It worked really well, only had to queue for just over 5 minutes and I did my packing at the car . They were asking people to do it over the tannoy so maybe that helped keep the queues short.

Since I got back I've put Bolognese sauce in the SC using up some bits of veg left from last week plus some I bought today.

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit, skinny syrup, banana (F), HEB porage with HEA milk
L- lentil and veg soup (P,S), LO pasta salad (F,P,S)
D- Fake KFC (P), SW chips (F), asparagus, tomatoes, mushrooms (S)
Syns- weekend wine, really looking forward to it!:smiley:

My KFC is just going into the oven.. with loads of chips. Monster size mushrooms (Aldi Super 6) and tomatoes to follow, then just the asparagus to do. Easy and yummy. 😋

Disappointed Aldi didn't have a chicken curry today. They had all the other Slimwell meals but the curry often sells out. ☹️

Do take care bubbs, it might be worth calling 111 to check whether the antibiotics should have kicked in by now. You seem to react so badly to bites. ☹️
