How absolutely awful for those families flooded out over Christmas☹️ . It's been lovely here, especially yesterday which was bright sunshine. Today is dry (so far) and we got out for a short walk before lunch.

The bonus of having no scales at home is that I don't know how much I've gained!! 🤣 I know I have as I've put proper trousers on today and I feel bloated. It could be because of the 2 rounds of sandwiches I had last night and I'm not used to so much bread.

I have had lots of extra syns but I've enjoyed every one. Some good stuff too as loads of Speed veg and I made lentil soup yesterday and had some at lunchtime today. Tonight we're having cold meat, bubble and squeak and pickles but will have wine syns and maybe chocolate marzipan too.

I've got a lamb joint out for tomorrow and I've got a big batch of braised red cabbage cooking at the moment. Food will get back to fairly normal from tomorrow until NYE but I'm going to have some extra syns every day. I haven't even opened my cherry liqueurs yet! 😋

Weather was good yesterday with some sunshine.  Today wasn't too bad but a bit windy.  It's getting windier now too but not raining.

Was positively angelic yesterday compared to Christmas Eve!  Definitely far too many syns - think it will take me all week to catch up so definitely not expecting a loss this week.

I didn't drink yesterday and ended up on 15 syns.  Today I've only had 6.5 but might have a couple of drinks later - see how I feel then.  Don't fancy one at the moment as just had a can of ginger beer on it's own!

Afternoon all.  Everyone is very quiet today.

Gosh Storm Bella was vicious last nigh!  No idea how the fence panels are still standing on our neighbour's side - they have needed replacing for a couple of years but somehow they are still standing - we replaced the ones on our side earlier this year and both sides were done at the same time originally!  So much wind and rain and even more this morning although now it has brightened up quite nicely.

I ended up on 10.5 syns last night as had a chocolate teacake for 4 syns rather than a couple of drinks!

    Today's plan:

    B - fry up - sausages, egg, mushrooms, beans, SW hash browns - P; S; F; 2
    L - serrano ham sandwich - HEB; 4.5
D - roast lamb, roast potatoes, roasted carrots, onions & peppers, braised red cabbage, mashed swede

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
    Syns - 2 low fat sausages, 10g butter 3.5; Serrano ham 1

My pakoras and bharjis never look anything like the picture but they taste good so doesn't really matter, LOL!

Have just had a bit of a shock with a message from my consultant that she is packing up in January!  She's been my consultant right from the start.  No idea who is taking over as she hasn't said!  I'm seeing her tomorrow to pick up my magazine and new booklet so might find out more.  At least I won't feel so bad about not going every week once back in venue which I probably would otherwise!

Enjoy your tea bubbs - I love cold roast with chips and pickles!

That's a surprise denise. It'll be interesting to find out why she's giving up. Possibly all the messing about with Covid and Zoom? 🤔 I know what you mean about a new consultant. My original one went back to her day job as her children got older. For a while she did evening groups which didn't suit me, then gave up completely. I like the current one but don't feel the same loyalty. I do see some old faces (serial returners) from time to time but there aren't any target members like me. There are a few who lost a bit (not enough IMO) and called target but I couldn't do that. 😉

Today's like a normal Sunday for SW. I had a good breakfast (porridge) and lunch (gammon, eggs and LO veg) and tonight is roast lamb. There will be syns though as I'll have wine and maybe open the cherry liqueurs if I fancy some. 😋 I expect to go on much the same and get back properly from January 4th. 😊

It was horrible overnight but a lovely sunny day. We had a good walk 7000+ steps. It has to help a bit. 😉

Oh dear bubbs. You'll have to lay off the baked beans. Who bought you that? I wouldn't be amused.,, 😉
