Not a good morning here! We woke up to find that the CH boiler isn't working! Then I went to WI and STS AGAIN!!
Someone is meant to be coming out to look at the boiler but in the meantime we've got fan heaters but no hot water. It takes me back to when we were having the bathroom done, boiling kettles to have a wash. Hopefully that will be sorted before the end of the day so not worrying about that at the moment. 🤔
I have come up with a good solution with my consultant. As groups are closing from today, I've paid her a week in advance and she's putting me down as top of range (having lost a nominal pound) next week. So that will give me access to the app and website for as long as Tier4/lockdown lasts.
Hard luck on the half pound gain denise. Like you I've been as good as gold this week, coming in well under syns . All consultant could suggest was that perhaps I'm dehydrated. After my large glass (300mls) of squash in the morning, I do drink a lot of tea and that can have that effect.
What I'm going to do is enjoy Christmas/New Year with all the goodies I've promised myself and then get back seriously from January 4th including switching to something like hot Ribena instead of so much tea. That doesn't mean I'll be totally off plan in between. I'll still have loads of veg and other wise choices but I won't be counting syns. It's possible that with a different way of eating for a couple of weeks that it'll shake things up a bit.
It's gloriously sunny here so that's one good thing.😊 I'll be spending the day pottering about, cooking and prepping for tomorrow. I'm going to boil a piece of gammon shortly and will make soup from the stock. If I don't get it done today I'll save it and make it later. Now the turkey's out of the freezer there's room to put soup in. 😁
Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit squash (F), HEB Puffed Wheat, HEA1 milk
L- JP (F) with chilli (P,S) pickles (S) and cottage cheese (P)
D- gammon (P), SW chips (F), cauliflower and broccoli cheese, tomato, mushrooms (S)
Syns- cheese sauce, Christmas wine!! 😁🎄🍷
I'm making HM cheese sauce so HEA2 will be in there.1 -
You've got a good consultant there maman. Couldn't see mine doing that! Still at least I'm still in target by 0.5lb!
I'm going to be doing pretty much the same as you maman. As you say it might shake things up a bit (hopefully!). My body hasn't had it's usual 'shaking things up' with the holidays in France. Even when we were away in September I pretty much stuck to plan, at least food wise which definitely doesn't happen in France!
Think I might have to think about getting some Ribena or something similar to have hot instead of tea as I do drink quite a bit of that! Although that can wait until the new year now - don't really want to go shopping again for at least a week, preferably more like two weeks! I've got some Lemon and Ginger teabags in the cupboard might have those again - would certainly up the fluid intake as no milk - I think that's probably the trouble with too much tea!

Maman hope you get boiler sorted, what a nightmare!
Also a nightmare round here, where i used to live is flooding , poor devils Christmas day tomorrow and the year we have had, so glad i moved, this was one of the reasons we moved after being flooded 3/4 times

A lovely man came round this afternoon and fixed the boiler so all well now. 😁 It was inconvenient bubbs but nothing like as bad as being flooded.
I've made the stuffing for tomorrow, cooked the gammon and made mince pies for DH. I'm taking a short break now then I'll prep some veg while I'm doing tonight's dinner.
I do plan to post a bit over the holiday, just to keep in touch, but won't do detailed menus. 😉
Happy Christmas Everyone. 😊🎄0 -
Same here maman. No point in detailed menus as definitely not as on plan as usual! Have already started on the alcohol!!
Didn't get another batch of mince pies done but as we bought some yesterday not concerned about that! Maybe I'll make some more to use up the mincemeat in a couple of days!
Dinner is cooking so that will be it, cooking wise until the tomorrow!
Have a great Christmas everyone, see you soon!
