I’ll enjoy Christmas at my dds and eat treats and whatever she has bought/cooked whilst there, then  do the best  I can once I’m home. Weather permitting will get some walks in over the festive period to offset the syns. I’ve noticed a big difference in the amount of snacks I’m buying. I usually start collecting them as soon as they come in the shop around September......just in case people pop around 😂😂😂😂😂 excuses, excuses. I actually have nuts I’d bought last Christmas 😳I found them lurking in the back of my cupboard when we sorted the kitchen. I’ve not been able to do that this year and nobody will be calling around. I’m more hopeful I’ll be able to stay on plan this year without all that temptation to hand 👍👍

  • Morning All!  I'll be mostly on plan with the added treats here and there (mainly alcohol as I won't be driving for once!) but again not going to be too hard on myself.  Had a cheeky look on the scales this morning and looking at a loss this week which is good.  Pushed myself with the weights again last night and feeling it a little this morning but happy that I'm getting stronger which is what this exercise malarkey is all about for me - the longer I can keep the joints moving without too much pain the better!

Had a coffee and a couple of clementine's for breakfast again - I'm listening to my body and not forcing it to eat breakfast if I'm not hungry.  Lunch is going to be some leftover macaroni cheese from last night and dinner will be a chickpea curry with peppers and spinach and some light coconut milk to make it a bit creamier.

Have a half day at work today so also probably going to crack open the bailey's this evening with a good book while DH has his work's virtual Christmas party.

Hope everyone has a good day!

Morning all.  Easy day today just need to pop out to the post office to return a parcel for a jumper I ordered on line and it is so thin that there is no way it would keep me warm - was supposed to be a winter weight jumper!!!  Going to cost quite a bit to return because it has to be returned 48 tracked and signed for, glad it doesn't weigh too much!  I repacked it so that it should be able to be returned as a Large Letter!

    Today's plan:

    B - stuffed mushroom topped with cottage cheese - P; S; F
    L - Welsh rarebit and coleslaw - HEA; HEB; S; 1
    D - HM faggots; mash; green veg - P; S; F

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
Syns - LTL mayo 1; may have a couple of rum & ginger beers tonight

    Morning all,

I am also hoping to be looking at a loss this week, fingers crossed. I have been pretty good. Im going to continue the healthy eating right up until Wednesday, usually I would relax the reins a bit over the weekend. My weigh in is a Saturday which would be boxing day eek. I am going to stay with family on xmas eve, day and boxing day, I am going to relax and enjoy a few drinks, the way I look on it too is there are going to be no nights out this year. Then from the 27th onwards I will be back on plan with a few Christmassy treats here and there, plus bread. Im thinking totally back on track on the 4th of January new year and back to work.

I stayed for Image Therapy yesterday  and the message was that it's not Christmas yet!!😊 That seems to have helped my mindset so I'm determined to stick to plan until  WI next Thursday, which conveniently is Christmas Eve.

Very heartening that you're both on course for a loss klew and ruby. It does help  motivation when the scales are being positive. Did you remember to weigh denise?🤔

I'm going to try hard to delay my weekend syns until tomorrow just in case 3 days worth is too much. It's the only thing I can think of to get a loss. I'll follow the plan 100%  to Thursday except for a little guesswork with milk and saving syns rather than daily. That's what worked when I as getting to target so hoping it'll work this week. I remember, I think it was sary, saying that I'd just got very good at maintaining  so perhaps being a little careless with syns is part of that. It would be a faff to separate my milk from DH so I'm not doing that but that should mostly be covered by the second HEA now. (apologies for thinking aloud😉)

I have to do my meal plan for this week and shop for essentials up until Wednesday. I'll shop again before that but I have most of the Christmas stuff covered except for fresh foods. It'll just help me to do a two part plan.

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit squash (F), HEB toast, fried eggs, bacon (P), tomatoes and mushrooms (S), HEA1 milk
    L- cold meat (P), bubble & squeak (F,S), beetroot (S)
D- Fake KFC (P), SW chips (F), tomato, garlic mushrooms with HEA2 , broccoli, asparagus (S)
    Syns- 0

Yes I did remember to weigh and yay it was definitely water retention!  It was a maintain again so better than expected - just as well I did weigh last week, LOL!  It's beginning to get annoying to keep maintaining.  Going to make a determined effort this week to stick to plan properly and definitely won't be opening any wine as that is always my downfall - will stick with the rum, gin or pastis!

You shouldn't be hungry bubbs. Didn't you manage a proper breakfast and lunch...again! 🤣

Good news that it wasn't a real gain denise.  I just checked my bank statement and it was very odd seeing a 'card payment to Slimming World' itemised. That doesn't happen often! In fact I don't think I've ever paid by card before but I thought they preferred contactless due to Covid. At the end of group I went to buy a magazine  (not read it yet) and went to use my card. The consultant said she'd prefer cash. That was fine by me . I wonder if it's because SW are slow to forward her share of card payments. I know she and her DH both lost their permanent jobs during the first lockdown and things must be tight. Fortunately they've both picked up temporary work in Iceland and the Post Office.  Next week I'll make a point of offering cash . That's assuming I have to pay! 🤔😉

I did my meal plan up to Christmas Eve and shopped for that.  It wasn't too much as I'm doing some reverse meal planning to finish stuff up. I won't be going back to Lidl in a hurry until I run out of some favourites. They don't sell anything like the range of veg, especially greens, that Aldi do and they're much worse at managing their checkouts.  It could be this particular branch as, although it's new and large, it caters more for students and couples than families. Next task is to check with DH which treat foods he wants (most of mine are in already😁) for Christmas and then plan from Christmas Eve through to about 29th. Although it's just the 2 of us I don't want to get too much fresh stuff in too soon.

I'm not enjoying the prospect of no wine tonight. I really enjoy having a glass while I'm doing the KFC. It'll pass. 😣

That's the exact opposite to here maman - Lidl's checkouts are much better managed that Aldi.  Also the veg in Aldi is never as fresh as Lidl.  Looks like it depends on the shop and/or managers.

Although I shopped yesterday I've already got a few things on my list and will need to go to Lidl probably Tuesday so I'll pick up any fresh veg that I need although I've got cabbage, cauliflower and carrots.  Also still got plenty of potatoes and onions.  Think the only veg I'll need will be salad stuff as only have a bit of mixed leaves and less than 1/4 cucumber.  Still got some tomatoes so probably won't need any more but if I do I'll probably pick up some cherry ones.

Faggots were really nice tonight for dinner and there are plenty left for another couple of meals so definitely back on the menu plan next month!
