Yes i like Aldi better than Lidl Maman, but i did buy some "lazy garlic" from Lidl 99p which is a good price, and i have never seen it in Aldi :(
Yes, I buy that too bubbs and their cornichons and DH loves their muesli.  Fortunately ,all are long life, so I can just call in every few months and stock up.

I had a quick look again today out of curiosity  and the fruit and veg is very poor compared with Aldi. They only have stew packs, chantenay or organic carrots, no 'normal' ones and still really crappy cauliflower.

This is NOT mine but looks amazing

    5.5 syn Beef Wellington 🥩🥦🥕🥧.

This was actually really easy to make and a lot quicker than you would think! 30 mins in total 😍👍🏽.

    All meals posted on Instagram:

    https://www.instagram.com/kimberlyslimmingjourney/

I started off by seasoning 1 beef medallion with salt and pepper, and then sealing these on all side in a frying pan (a minute or so each side and make sure you quickly seal the edges too). Then set this to one side.

I then added 2 garlic cloves, 60g chestnut mushrooms, 1 shallot, 1tsp dried thyme and a splash of water to my nutribullet, blitz this all together and then add to the frying pan until it looks a bit like a pate/ paste. 🍄🍄

I then weighed out 75g of lighter Jus Roll puff pastry (11 syns) and cut this in two even squares, spread a little bit of the mushroom paste on the middle of one half of the pastry, then add the beef on top, spread a bit more of the paste on top of the beef, use an egg wash to go round the edges of the pastry. Then add the other half of the pastry on top and use a fork to seal all sides and then use the egg wash all over.

I left the beef Wellington to chill for 10-15 mins, whilst I prepped everything else and then I cooked it in the oven for 20 mins at 180, then cut in half and serve! I served mine with red cabbage, roasted carrots and green beans.

That's a brilliant loss for your first week back jax. Well done!! Definitely worth getting started before Christmas. 😊  Is your mum on board with SW? Beef casserole is a good choice but it might have oil or flour or even wine in it!!😉
My mum's been doing SW longer than I have 😁 so it's a SW friendly casserole. The price increase doesn't bother me too much its the first price rise in a very long time. I do think their timing was a poor choice maybe hold off until we stop having lockdowns. If we do have another post Christmas lockdown I can see a few people taking issue with paying more but not being able to go to group 😕
    :AWhatever it is - I didn't do it!:A

That's great you have your mum and your SIL supporting you jax. It really helps. 😊

  • Definitely going into lock down straight after Christmas, the numbers are going to escalate dramatically.

Ended up with 4lb loss, so a very happy bunny, not just on the loss but the psychological aspect. Not sure if we have "class" next week, but will continue as if there is, Christmas day is first day of week, so going off plan for the day will be fine and should hopefully pull it all back.

    Have a good one everybody.
