joedenise said:milann - you'll be pleased to know that the chia seeds will only be 0.5 syns (they are 3 syns for 2 Tbs); unfortunately cocao isn't listed so can't help with syns for that - when I put in cocao it came up with cocoa pops LOL!1

It might be maman but cocao is a product in its' own right - I think it's the raw version of cocoa. Agree with you about the cocoa pops!
Meant to say in my previous post I count all wines at the lowest rate as when I started SW there didn't used to be different values and I'm certain they haven't changed the calories in a glass of wine since 2010 when I joined! So by my reckoning the syns should still be the same.

Hi allHope you don't mind me joining the party. Its been forever and day since I posted on MSE but I've been browsing regularly.I've been doing slimming world (with mixed success) on and off for around 15 years. I decided during lockdown 2 to take a month off to give my head a wobble and get back on it properly and actually stick to the plan rather than dipping in and out as I feel like it, as that doesn't work.If I waited until after christmas to restart I would just completely let myself go off the rails, so I though the best thing would be to rejoin before so I can enjoy christmas but not to excess. So I rejoined last Wednesday and found I am basically back to my initial stating weight (its been creeping up throughout the pandemic) so have my first weigh in tomorrow I think I've done ok but I know I haven't been 100%.I've been stalking the posts here all week and have got some amazing ideas, one thing I have noticed though based on what you guy are sharing is I am definitely not eating enough, and more importantly, definitly not eating enough speed food. This might explain why i'm craving high syn foods. So I think I need to start meal planning properly to make sure I am eating enough, and of the right things.:AWhatever it is - I didn't do it!:A1

Hi Jaxb and welcome
Yes i always say eat yourself slim, as you can see i have massive meals but it is VERY RARE i snack, i always say fail to plan, plan to fail. I am not like Denise or Maman and do a meal plan for the week, but i know roughly what i am having.
We are also creatures of habit, thurs curry, fri KFC, sat picky tea, i save my syns for this, Sunday roast, so i only have to think of 3 meals M T W.
But now i am not working i tend to have a cooked breakfast of some form and try to have a nice lunch but i have been really busy last couple of days so just had odd stuff 🤣🤣
Put your meals up if it helps and people will give advice where you could change something if it helps you.

I'm egg mad myself my go to meal when I can't think what to cook is omelette.I am lucky in that I'll eat pretty much anything (except olives or avocado
) so I can try different meals and recipes to keep the variety up.
My main stumbling block the is the willpower to stop snacking in work as there is always someone bring sweets and cakes and the likes in. Obviously thats increased ten fold with Christmas being round the corner.:AWhatever it is - I didn't do it!:A1
