Morning all, another horrible grey, drizzly day. Have got another load of washing to do but going to leave it until tomorrow as it's supposed to be dry but will have to wait and see.
Today's plan:
B - fry up - bacon, eggs, mushrooms, beans - P; S; F; 1
L - cheese on toast - HEA; HEB; P; F
D - HB braised steak with added mushrooms and carrots; mash; cabbage; peas - P; S; F
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - cheese
HEB - bread
Syns - butter 11 -
Snap! We're having HB steak for dinner too. 😋 It's such a versatile meal. I enjoy it as a roast but also with chips as the HBs intended. I've taken to freezing some of the (copious) gravy as it goes well midweek with sausages or LO beef. 😊
I'm having quite an eggy day but I had some bits of veg from last week to use up and enjoyed my omelette.
I looked at yesterday's syns and I think it was probably like a normal Saturday. The only syns in my meal would have been in oil and I had less wine than usual as sharing with friends, full bodied and lunchtime.
Today's EE plan -
B- NAS grapefruit (F), scrambled eggs (P), HEB toast, HEA milk
L - veggie omelette (P, S), ham (P), pickles (S)
D- HB steaks (P, S), SW roast potatoes (F), broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage (red and green), BNS, swede, carrots (S)
Syns - weekend wine 🍷0 -

Cake looks good bubbs. Love a roast pork dinner.
Been raining here on and off all day and the wind's got up too. My neighbour put washing out the day before yesterday and it was still there when I closed the blinds - reckon she'll end up having to wash it all again - if it doesn't get blown away, it was all hanging on with just one peg now!1 -
It will look and taste even better when i finish it off 🤣🤣
Yes not been nice here at all today, here was tea 😋😋

maman said:Just got back from our day in London. We walked 12000+ steps afterwards to see the lights but the crowds were very irresponsible. Social distancing didn't exist. I think many people have just given up. We kept our masks on and took quieter streets back to the station. 🤞
Not hungry at the moment but if I have anything else it'll be SW friendly. Back on plan now. 😉A smile costs little but creates much1 -
Good morning all, it's looking a bit brighter this morning but we're forecast rain so have decided I'm going to leave my washing until Thursday which is the first day to be forecast dry! Will probably 3 loads by then though and that's just the clothes! There will of course be bedding as well but that I'll get done and use the tumble dryer to dry it so probably do that as the last load on Thursday making 4 loads.
Today's plan:
B - kedgeree - P; S; F
L - LO HB steak & onions, LO mashed potatoes, brussels, green beans (there's not enough left to use as a main meal)
D - sausage and bean bake; roast potatoes - S; F; 2
S - Ryvita and cheese - HEA/HEB
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - cheese
HEB - Ryvita
Syns - sausages 2

Morning all, just half a pound off this week, I get my stitches out today so have yoga pants with a bootleg on for ease of access I haven’t worn this particular pair since the start of lockdown and im pleased to note how loose they are especially in the leg. Sooo looking forward to a proper shower once the stitches are out, iv even bought a new shower gel to try to celebrate ha
So today I am having a xmas tray for lunch for the local café, turkey and stuffing roll with gravy, pigs and blankets and chips! Eeekkk however no Christmas party for work so this was the next best thing, I have decided to write off lunch and tonight I will have something healthy and speedy for tea, albeit small after the large lunch!
The rest of the week I will be having bowls of speedy Bolognese for lunch, (I needed a break from the soup) no pasta just literally a nice warm bowl of goodness. Dinners will be gammon steaks and potatoes. Have some chicken to use up at some point too.
Really fancy the HB braised steak some time soon, keep forgetting about it !

Well done klew, half a pound is still a loss and far better than a gain!!!
Bet you're glad the stitches are coming out today and you'll be able to have a proper shower. It's not easy just doing a strip wash at the sink - I know I do it a lot in the motorhome - we do have a shower but we have to try and be economical with the water as sometimes you don't know when you'll next be able to fill with water.
The lunch sound great but it's only one meal out of 21 so you've got another 20 chances to get good, Speedy meals into you! Enjoy!
The HB steak was lovely yesterday - I diced the steak rather than cooking them whole as it always seems to go further that way. I also added extra onion, garlic, carrots, mushrooms & courgettes, that's probably why there's enough for lunch today.

Afternoon all! Trying to catch up on the thread from the last week but you do all post a lot
Took the week of work and spent a few days on the Isle of Wight in a lovely lodge by the sea with a hot tub that DH certainly made sure we got our money's worth from. Was totally off plan with a bottle of wine every night, cheese and crackers and a fry up every morning so very little speed food in sight! Was a much needed break and lovely that we could just chill out somewhere that wasn't our own home and not have to interact with anyone.
Safe to say I've put 2lb on this week but cracking back on plan today-ish. Didn't have breakfast as wasn't very hungry, lunch was mushroom soup and a slice of bread and dinner is stir fry. All good so far until I say that DH is adamant that we're going to have the M&S Sticky Toffee Christmas Pudding for desert tonight. He loves christmas pudding, would eat it all the time if he could, but also loves STP so it's like heaven to him. Not quite sure it's going to taste like heaven but I'll still be having a slice with some cream.
