Morning all.  Finally getting to do more washing as the weather is going to be dry at last!  It's also quite windy so hopefully will dry quite quickly.  One load on the line, second load in the machine and then one more after that.  By the time that lots done it'll probably be lunchtime!

    Today's plan:

    B - eggs on toast - HEB; P; 3.5
    L - leek & potato soup - S; F
D - chilli (will add a tin of black beans to get rid of them!); rice - P; S; F
(there will probably be enough left for lunch tomorrow because of adding the beans)

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
    Syns - butter 3.5

I’ve been awol for a while and totally lost the plot. We’ve had virtually no kitchen for  what feels like weeks now - although I’ve had a cooker and sink and fridge - the logistics of finding ingredients and equipment to cook from scratch, all whilst I’m still recovering from major surgery got to be too much effort.....I know excuses - excuses.....☺️☺️
But the kitchen is on its last leg....hopefully will be fully functional by the end of the week. I’ve revived a bit and I’m fed up of take aways and want to get back to healthy eating. I had a really bad day as I’d walked too far and ached in muscles I’d forgotten I’d had but I also think the fat I’d eaten in a lot of rubbish played a part too with stomach issues.
The stone I’d lost with my week in hospital is no more.....I’ve put half back on.
So although I’m not fully back on track I’m giving it my best shot until next week when I’ll fill my cupboards again and meal plan 👍
    Today
breakfast- toast....builders were here at 8 am - 8 syns
dinner - of take away cheese and onion sandwich from Morrison’s hea (maybe 3 syns for yoghurt it was mixed with) and b choice and pot of fresh fruit and coffee
tea - if I can use my kitchen will be rice with a hm sw meal - if I can’t use my kitchen will be a take away. But I’m aiming for some meals on plan each day depending on the workmen in the kitchen
I know it’s not ideal but is certainly better than I’ve been doing since I was last here.
Debating whether or not to sign up to sw online 🤔🤔

Welcome back milann.  Life can be very difficult especially when you haven't got a proper kitchen to use.  All you can do is do the best you can in the circumstances.  If you can manage at least some meals on plan it will definitely help.  Once you've got your kitchen back then you can really get back on it.

There haven't been any good reports about SW Online on here.  You might do better with seeing how you go with just using this thread.  If you really need the accountability then perhaps then would be the time to try SW Online.

Thanks joedenise.....I might just do that for now. I might venture to group again once the lockdown reduces, but try one nearer to home, as the one I go to is closer to work and I need to drive there. I just can’t imagine it being the same as pre COVID though.

Good to see you posting milann. Half a stone isn't bad under the circumstances. You have a halfway plan for the moment and then, if I were you, I'd get the meal plan and shopping list all ready to go  for next week.😊  We live in an area that was on the lowest tier before lockdown so SW classes were socially distanced but you got to stay for 'normal' classes. I'm hoping it'll return to that in December. I wouldn't bother joining a group just for weigh and go though. Denise is right that you'd get more support from posting on here, although I know some people find that paying for a group makes them stick to it. We could always arrange to charge. 🤣

I meant to ask klew, Is Maykway curry like Mayflower?  Like chip shop type curry? Is it syn  free?🤔

We managed a decent walk today, just under the 8000 steps. I keep a food diary every day and I've now started making a note of Body Magic. When I haven't got out for a walk I've been doing 10 minutes of stretching exercises. I find it helps give me a bit of structure. 😊

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit squash, baked beans (F), bacon, fried egg (P), HEB toast, HEA milk
L- chicken, ham (P), fried veg and pickles (S)
D- baked cod (P), SW chips, mushy peas (F), broccoli, tomatoes, cauli steak, courgettes (S)
    Syns- 0

It certainly isn't the same as pre-Covid!  Groups are much smaller, chairs are placed at least 1m apart, you have to weigh with shoes on (most people wear flip flops but might be a bit come winter, LOL!) and have to keep them on throughout Image Therapy as you're not allowed to change them.  You also have to wear a face covering for the whole time.

I'd forgotten about the face masks. 😷 I suppose we're lucky that our hall is a decent size so chairs can be spaced out easily. We have 2 groups of a Thursday morning so most seem to be accommodated. We definitely can put our shoes back on after WI! That's a crazy rule . 🤣

Our consultant runs 2 groups on Thursday morning and 2 in the evening.  She also runs 2 groups on a Monday evening.  Looks like it's consultants choosing how they're going to do things then.  I agree it's a crazy rule about not changing back into outdoor shoes until you get outside - it would be much easier whilst sitting down and hopping about on one foot outside!   The. more I think about it the more I think I might just start doing what you do maman and only go to WI once every couple of months - I'm really not enjoying the IT any more.  I'm not bothering with the Zoom meetings either - just can't see the point.
