Absolutely pouring down here too. It hasn't stopped all through the night. ☹
I've got some carrots that need using up so I'll make some more beef stew for lunches. We're having HB steaks tonight but with chips so I'll keep most of the gravy for a midweek meal. Yesterday I bought a small turkey for Christmas. I always buy frozen as I find that by the time I've added stuffing and bacon, it tastes just as good as fresh. I think it's likely to be just the two of us this year but if DD1 does come (as usual) then I can pad it out with gammon and beef. I might even be doing a take away as she only lives a mile away. 🤣
Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit squash, baked beans (F), HEB toast, HEA milk, fried eggs, bacon (P)
L- veggie omelette (P,S), ham (P), pickles (S)
D- HB steaks (P,S), SW chips (F), broccoli, sugar snaps (S)
Syns- weekend wine😊0 -
Morning all
The weather has been bloody awful again this morning, although looks like the sky is clearing a bit now.
I am going to make a quiche today as not made one for a while, will also make dh a crumble, thankfully i don't like them but he does in the winter .
Not like me to be the first to post but i have been up ages although not showered yet!Sealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance::dance:0 -
Morning all, weather absolutely bloody awful here too and been raining hard and extremely windy all night! Certainly won't be going out today in that awful wind and rain. Has stopped raining now but still really grey and miserable.
Was really surprised how much beef casserole I'd frozen - thought there'd only been enough for our evening meal but when I tipped it into the pan realised there would be enough for lunch today as well! I've got another 2 or 3 bags of the same casserole in the freezer so looks like if I'd frozen all the "extra" bits into one I'd have got an extra evening meal out of it!
Anyway today's plan:
B - fry up with sausages - P; S; F; 2
L - LO beef casserole, herby couscous - P; S; F
D - roast pork, roast potatoes, roasted carrots, peppers & onions, cabbage & peas - P; S; F
S - Ryvita & cheese (if needed!) - HEA/HEB
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - cheese?
HEB - Ryvita?
Syns - sausages 2; couple of rum & ginger beer maybe 5?

The rain's eventually stopped but it's so dark and gloomy. Definitely not going out today. 😊
Good idea to make quiche bubbs. Maybe you could take some out with you so you don't skip lunch when you're busy. 😊
I made enough for 3 portions of beef stew yesterday so that's 2 in the freezer for lunches.
I'm really looking forward to our roast today. At least meals are something we can enjoy despite the miserable weather.
Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit squash (F), bacon, fried egg (P), tomatoes and mushrooms (S), HEB toast, HEA milk
L- beef stew (P,S,F)
D- roast chicken (P), SW roast potatoes, LM stuffing balls (F), BNS, carrots, swede, red cabbage, greens (kale & cabbages), cauli, broccolis (S)
Syns- HM gravy 4, weekend wine😊0 -
