  • Afternoon All.

Sorry I haven't been around much - definitely seem to have lost my mojo since the dark nights have been with us....need to shake myself out of it but it's the summing up of the energy to do it is the hard part. I've been knitting - nothing special just squares
We've managed to get a cancellation so will be away this weekend - so will be definitely not on plan 100% - but hopefully the weather will hold up so that we can at least do some walking along the coast.
Not sure what we'll be having for tea tonight - it's all abit blah at the moment.

You're inspiring me to do my indoor exercises ruby although we have had a walk today as it's a beautiful autumn day here.

I'm going to try the stuffed BNS sometime too bubbs. We enjoyed stuffed marrow and I've always got Bolognese or savoury mince in the freezer. It would probably work with chilli too.

We love Lancashire hotpot too denise. Do you use lamb chops?   I find it hard to cut off the fat. 😋

Well done on your STS. I'm officially at the top of target range today although I won't find out literally until lockdown is over.  I came in just about 10  syns (ETA 11.5😉) spare for last week which allows for any guestimating so I think I probably would have lost the pound I needed.

I'd finished off a bag of new potatoes prepping dinner last night as there weren't enough left  to keep for another meal. It made my lunch a bit carb heavy  today but they did make a nice change compared with the usual l mash.  I made sure I balanced them  with a heap of Speed though. 😊

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit squash (F), scrambled eggs (P), HEB toast, HEA1 milk
L- cold meat (P), fried potatoes (F) fried veg and beetroot (S)
    D- SW Bolognese (P,S), spaghetti (F), HEA2 parmesan
    Syns- 0

No I've used lamb fillet.  Impossible to cut all the fat off but have cut off the thick stuff along the edge - it's the cut that the recipe says to use - it's from the old EE book from about 7 or 8 years ago so not long after EE first came out.  It's definitely meatier than lamb chops though!

Didn't have the bread with the Cullen skink at lunchtime so could actually have 4 Ryvita tonight if I want them but suspect I won't need them to be honest as I'm sure the hotpot will be quite filling as my dish is so full I couldn't get the lid on so have had to cover it with foil! so definitely going to be plenty there.  Won't be doing any extra potatoes with it but have some mashed celeriac left over from yesterday so going to reheat that.  DH has said he doesn't want cabbage as well so won't bother doing that, even though I'd planned to.

  • Bubbs, I'm in Wales, going to West Wales so being a good girl - not only did we have the two week lockdown but I was in one of the areas put into a local lockdown so for 8 weeks prior wasn't even allowed to leave the county so this will definitely be like a road trip.

We've had to book the restaurants something we would never normally do but I guess these aren't normal times.

Enjoy your weekend GTS.  It is weird having to book restaurants isn't it, but it's weird times.  Let's hope the vaccine comes to fruition so we can get back to some sort of normality.

Morning all, it's looking really damp and horrible outside today.  I'm not planning on going out today anyway so will just stay in and do the usual boring stuff!

Fairly easy day for food as using up leftovers and repurposing a meal from the freezer!

    B - HM marmalade on toast - HEB; 2
    L - LO hotpot; fried up LO boiled potatoes; cabbage - P; S; F
D - Lamb and chickpea curry (made from the JO slow cooked lamb & chickpea tray bake from freezer); rice; aloo gobi - P; S; F

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
Syns - marmalade 2; won't have any more as went over yesterday so need to do a bit of damage limitation!

Morning all.  Glad to have inspired you maman with the exercise - almost stayed in bed when my alarm went off this morning but still dragged myself downstairs to lift some weights.  Have my third "run" of C25K planned in this afternoon so hoping the weather stays dry even if it is grey and cloudy!

Hope you enjoy your staycation GTS, I love West Wales as I spent all my childhood holidays in Pembrokeshire and the surrounding area.  It's been 14 years since I was last there so might have to drag DH there next year.

Had boiled eggs and toast for breakfast, no idea on lunch (probably soup) and then LO lasagne and broccoli for dinner.  Hope you all have a good day.

    Morning all,

Annoyed cos I had a skinny whip watching tv at 9 last night, I mean back in the day it could have been a lot worse but annoyed al the same, I suppose I could think of it as a late pudding. I didn’t go over my sins.

    B: fruit and fibre milk

    L : pot noodle! 9 syns

D : gammon steak, homemade ratatouille

Weigh in tomorrow, fingers crossed 2 stone award. The trousers I wear for work are getting exceptionally baggy. I took the plunge two weeks ago and bought them 2 sizes down. I could get them on but they were tight, I am going to try them again this weekend and see how I get on with them. id like to be in them properly come Christmas, no pressure though

Good luck for WI klew. The baggy work trousers sound like a NSV already.😊

Enjoy your weekend gtq. I'm Welsh and  still have family there. It's my brother's birthday on Saturday and he's delighted that the pubs have reopened. 😁

I'd suggest that you just enjoy yourself and start again next week. I know SW is healthy but I'm far more motivated by vanity. 😉 When I'm out and about, I love people watching and, even after 10 years at target, I still feel good when  I see people waddling and wobbling along and I know that could have been me. I find that helps. I love fitting into my clothes and that I don't have to search at the back of the rails for the big sizes. Hope you find your mojo very soon. 😊

Meal plan and shop this afternoon. Because of lockdown, there will be no eating out to tempt me so I should be able to manage fine with the syn bank which is still full until this evening.

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit squash, skinny syrup (F), HEB porridge, HEA1 milk, red berries (S)
L- JP (F), cottage cheese (P), pickles and spring onions (S)
D- Fake KFC (P), SW chips (F), carrots, asparagus, tomato, garlic mushrooms (S) HEA2 Primula
    Syns- weekend wine😋

No need to be annoyed with yourself klew; even with the treat you were still within your syns.  Good luck for WI tomorrow and hope you get that 2 stone award.

As maman said a great NSV with the baggy trousers.
