Water is now back on now, not quite back to normal but at least it's usable; apparently they've done a temp fix and will be doing a permanent one overnight when it will cause less inconvenience!
I love blue cheese but don't have it very often and when I do I only buy a small piece because I'd scoff the lot in one go!
Asparagus is also on the Clubcard deal - think it was £1.50 instead of £2 - not cheap I know but I needed some for tonight's dinner - would have got tenderstem broccoli if they'd had any even though the recipe called for asparagus but it's expensive at this time of year.

They didn't have any at my store unfortunately as I'd definitely have been buying it rather than the asparagus! I don't usually buy them at this time of year, usually only buy it May-June when it's in season although this year it was still quite expensive, probably because of the weather we've had this year.

Evening all ... hope everyone is well & dry - I don't think it's been dry for the last 3 days!
had a vegetarian meal tonight - tofu with tenderstem broccoli (thanks for the tip by the way re Tesco as we seem to be eating lots of it these days)
can I ask what people take to work for lunches? I'm ok with breakfasts & dinners but I'm struggling with lunch ideas. The only cooking facilities I've got in the office is a microwave though obviously have more scope when working from home.
Got my virtual weigh in tomorrow....so hopefully I'll be able to go running beforehand 🤞1 -
Morning all, looking to be a dry day today, although there's been some rain overnight. Looks a good drying day today as it's quite breezy too. Have now put the dishwasher on which I couldn't do last night - just as well as there isn't much crockery left to use - it's nearly all in the dishwasher! Once it's finished I'm going to wash DH's and my golf waterproofs and reproof them as the course always seems to be muddy even if it's not raining!
GTS DH and I were the same with regards to lunches but food flasks come into their own! Great for taking things like soups & stews or even leftovers from the previous night. Liquid stuff like soups and stews used to be taken frozen but would be got out early morning when we got up (5am in our case!) which means it would be defrosted by lunchtime and even if it wasn't could be microwaved. Didn't even need to go in the fridge which was just as well as where DH worked the fridge never got cleaned! My place wasn't too bad as it was cleaned every Friday night but if you left anything in there it was binned but at least there was no mouldy stuff or milk which had gone off in there.
It's also worth having a look at the website and at the 7 day sample menus on there and of course recipes from any old magazines you've got. What did you used to take before SW? I'm sure a lot of things you used to take before could be made SW friendly.
Hope that helps.
Today's plan:
B - porridge, fruit - HEB; S; F
L - Mixed vegetable soup
D - Fakeaway KFC - chicken, corn on the cob, baked beans, chips - P; F
HEA - milk
HEB - porridge
Syns - rum & ginger beers

hello everyone and great mood!
I'm new to this topic, let's share the secrets of who and how keeps fit in lockdown?
I just hate running (how can you teach yourself to love running?)
but I like to do exercises for my feets (I try to do exercises at home from time to time, from assistants - sports rubber bands)

i quite often make soup on a sunday night for lunches, instead of bread the side with the soup is chicken, pickled onions, boiled egg that kind of thing. i also have a small baked potato with tuna, or egg mayo, beans and cheese, all microwave friendly. sometimes i have a load of speed veg and rice in a curry sauce,1

Hasn't been dry here denise.☹ Rain has been steady most of the time.
My dancing class was brought forward today so I was out at lunchtime. I didn't want to come home and then go out again for my weekly shop so I took something to eat in the car. Being the end of the week, I didn't have much in so I did a pack of Golden Vegetable rice and chopped what I had left in the way of salad bits (peppers, cucumber, cornichons, spring onions) and some ham into it. It was quite filling and far better for me than stopping in a cafe.
Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit (F), fried eggs (P), mushrooms and tomatoes (S), HEA1 milk, HEB toast
L- rice (F), salad bits (S), ham (P)
D- Fake KFC (P), SW chips (F) broccoli, mange tour, garlic mushrooms, tomato HEA2 cheese
Syns- tbc😉2
