That seems very unfair GTS. When they had virtual groups before you were allowed to use the Countdown to count but it was 2 groups for 1 payment but they'd reduced the payment but it certainly doesn't make sense to me that you can't use it virtually now.

Yes Joedenise I was more than annoyed when she messaged me (especially as i was aware of that) ...though it's made my resolve in not going to class even stronger.

Morning all!
Hope you had a good night maman, glad I wasn't the only one going to school with dry weetabix for breakfast, although clotted cream crackers seems a step too far for me!
Didn't use a jar denise, just fry off an onion and pepper in a little bit of sesame oil, chuck in a tin of black beans (including the water in the tin), a squirt of honey (2 tspn?) and some chilli flakes. Let it it all bubble away and then add some cornstarch to thicken. As DH had eaten the leftover roast chicken I'd set aside for it, I ended up just adding more peppers. We decided to not have rice last night so it ended up being plenty for the two of us but if we had rice with it then it would have been 4 portions.
Yet again didn't sleep well last night so taking it easy today where I can (and drinking coffee to get me through!) Had porridge again this morning with apple and cinnamon and a bit of brown sugar on top, veggie chilli again for lunch and then carbonara tonight with a salad. Hope you all have a good day.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20171 -
Morning all, got two machine loads of washing on the line as it looks like we're going to stay dry until about 3 or 4 today! Here's hoping and that I can get it dry!
Today's plan:
B - sausage and onion sandwich - HEB; S; 5.5
L - carrot & ginger soup - S; F
D - Fakeawy KFC, chips, beans, corn on the cob
HEA - milk
HEB - bread
Syns - butter 3.5; sausages 2; couple of rum & ginger beer 5
Change of plan for lunch! We went to the fishmongers to buy some smoked haddock for tomorrow's breakfast and DH decided he fancied dressed crab so now going to have a crab salad. DH will have more bread with his but I'm not wasting more syns on it!

We had a really good time last night. It was brilliant to meet up with friends, many of whom I've not seen since March. It was quite a large event and we had to stay on our tables of 6 but it still felt good. 😊 Pleased to say my preCovid dress fitted fine so no problems there. DH even managed to get into his dinner suit trousers. 🤣
Food was a disappointment but quite SW friendly. Starter was a beetroot sorbet on top of smoked salmon salad . Tasty but tiny. The chicken main was just a breast cut in three chunks with 2 pencil thin carrots, 1 baby leek and a scoop of fondant potato and some sort of jus (aka gravy) on the side. DH ate my pudding that looked like some sort of gateau you'd buy in Iceland or Costco. It's quite a high end place where I've been before so cost cutting was definitely going on. I think the organisers had negotiated a cheap deal with the restaurant and then kept the difference to offset some of their Covid budget issues. I was starving when I got home so ate 3 Ryvita to soak up wine syns😁. Anyway, I'm drawing a line and getting back on plan properly today. and should be able to stay on it all week.
Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit (F), fried eggs (P), mushrooms and tomatoes (S), HEB toast, HEA milk
L- JP (F) with cottage cheese (P) and pickles (S)
D- Fake KFC (P) SW chips (F), asparagus, mange tout, mushrooms and tomato (S)
Syns- weekend wine😉1 -
Glad you had a good time last night maman seeing some friends even if the food was disappointing. I hate it when I've been out for a meal and feel hungry after and have to eat when I get home. I've had to move the meal for DD1 and DGD to this Monday as DGD has a practical exam on the day after her birthday so has to travel back to Uni on her birthday. The meal has to be on a Monday as it's the only guaranteed day DD1's partner gets off! Of course it means the restaurant is likely to be less busy too! It was no problem changing the date as it seems I was the only one with a booked table for the following week!
Pleased to say I got both loads of washing dried and put away this morning. It's looking quite grey but still no rain.
The crab we had for lunch today was really nice - I'd forgotten how much I like crab as not had any for quite a long time, probably about 3 years ago!
