Thanks bubbs. Not sure I'd want any of those unless the plums seem like they might ripen.

I bought 4 BNS yesterday so although the squashes look really pretty I don't think I need them. Do they taste any different? How would you cook them?

Just lately they've had wonky chestnut mushrooms every week so they might be better value than the Super 6.

maman those squash are similar to butternut squash in taste and you cook them exactly the same way. ย I don't think they keep quite as well as butternut though so would need using sooner. ย The small ones are quite nice stuffed with a mince mixture and roasted but timings can be a bit hit and miss as they seem to vary how long they'll take to cook. ย I used to buy them when we were away in the motorhome in France and DH would roast them on the BBQ in pieces.

I'm with you on the S6, the only things I might buy would be the big mushrooms if they're big enough to stuff.

The keema curry was really nice tonight, think it was more tasty than when I made it. ย I think the flavours had intensified quite a bit. ย However I did save myself 6.5 syns because the mini naan I nuked and it went really hard! ย So having a couple of rum & ginger beers instead but still 1.5 syns less than the naan!

Thanks for that. Sorry to hear you had to cut your weekend short denise. The forecast was sunny here but ended up dull but no rain... yet!ย

We've got really hooked on the garlic mushrooms with Primula and a bit of Parmesan for extra cheesiness . What's your favourite recipe for stuffed mushrooms?๐Ÿค”

I usually stuff them with fried onions, mushrooms, peppers all chopped fairly fine and then stir through couscous, stuff the mushrooms, and cover with grated cheese and grill until golden. ย So nothing special really but they make a nice change for breakfast occasionally.

Morning all, weather's dull but dry here too. ย I'm taking a chance as have quite bit of washing still to do. ย Have done one load which is on the line but don't think it's likely to dry if I'm honest but hopefully it'll dry a bit so won't take so long to dry indoors. ย Another load in at the moment which is nearly finished so will put that out once it's done and then I have the bedding from the motorhome which I'll probably do after that.

    Today's plan:

    B - fry up with sausages - sausages; egg, mushrooms, tomatoes, beans - P; S; F; 2
L - not sure yet will see what we fancy later - maybe toasted cheese sandwich or sweet chilli noodles
D - SC gammon, onions, carrots, potato - will then put the gammon in the oven to roast which we'll have with roast potatoes, roasted frozen veg, plus roasted fresh onions and peppers. ย Will turn the SC stock and veg into soup - P; S; F

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 ย - cheese?
    HEB - bread?
Syns - sausages 2; frozen veg 3; sweet chilli sauce 3? ย So either 5 or 8 syns today depending on what we have for lunch! ย So more syns saved towards the deficit!

Have decided on toasted cheese sandwich so syns saved 3 but using HEA/HEB but I'm OK with that so another 3 syns saved.

Have just totted up and as long as I don't have any more syns today apart from the sausages and frozen veg then I will be back on track synwise!
