Change of plan for lunch! Went to the fishmongers to get some smoked haddock as DH fancies kedgeree for breakfast tomorrow and they had some mussels so bought those, which of course means some syns have been consumed on white wine!
So lunch now is 4.5 syns instead of 3.5. Will also have a glass of wine which will take care of another 6 syns. As I went over a bit yesterday that will be it synwise for today.
Forgot the courgettes when we went out so tonight's dinner is still going to be pea and prawn risotto rather than prawn and veg risotto! Bit of a fishy day today.
PS. just managed to get the washing in before it started raining!

Afternoon all,
sunshine and showers here too today, and definitely an autumnal chilll in the air. Didn't even plan to hang washing outside this weekend, so got the main bulk of the wash done yesterday and put it in the tumble drier.
PIB I can SO relate to the self-sabotage at the moment. Maybe it's the change in the weather, or the current state of affairs around us? Who knows, but I'm struggling to stay on plan. I don't know what's going on with me, I do think feeling unwell off/on is possibly having an impact. I was awake all night with bad stomach pains and what felt like bloating so bad I was convinced something was going to go pop! We had chicken & chorizo pasta for tea cooked by DS3 & GF and I did have a small piece of lemon cheesecake afterwards, so maybe it was that. Whatever it was I spent a very uncomfortable night with fitful sleep. The knock-on effect today is I'm tired, and craving sweet things. We were also out on the road again today, not long back, so it was a hasty cheese & tomato roll for lunch.
My Mr T delivery has just arrived. I am going to sort out a meal plan for next week, and make sure I am prepared for my weaker/tired/lazy moments, because that's when I am struggling most.
The talk of rice pudding reminds me I bought a big bag on offer in Lidl recently for £4.99 of pudding rice. Have struggled to find any for months, so grabbed it while I could. Definitely think I'm going to have some as a breakfast substitute, and will buy some almond milk to go in it, and now I also have a skinny syrup I think it will be perfect! *fingers crossed*
Have a good weekend everyone. One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Afternoon all
Been ok here today until now and just started raining
PIB i have made rice pudding before and enjoyed it, so might try that for a change again, but it's if it fills me up and don't want to make a habit of having to hexa as was only 1 when i got to target and need some for milk for tea.
It's not also the fact of using my hexb as most days don't use it, but don't want my sugar out of control again 🙄 and this is what does it, carbs
Well today i went one better , egg wraps with bacon, mushrooms and beans left from what dh had last night 🤣🤣🤣was nice and no sauce was consumed!

All this talk of rice pudding reminds me that I've got a box of pudding rice in the cupboard. I like my rice baked with plenty of nutmeg in the skin. I just realised that, even without using almond milk, it'll be easier to make it syn free now as we have the 2 HEAs. 🤔
I finished off my stew at lunchtime. I'll definitely make that again. In all, I got 6 meals/portions from the beef joint - 2 roasts, 2 weeknight dinners and 2 lunchtime stews- so very mse.😁
I want to make more Bolognese this weekend as I've none left in the freezer. We seem to be having it every week now. We enjoy it very much but it used to be the meal on the plan that got skipped if we ate out unexpectedly but that doesn't happen any more. ☹
Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit, skinny syrup, banana (F), HEB porridge, HEA1 milk
L- beef stew (F,S,P)
D- Mushroom Stroganoff (HEA2, S), brown rice (F)
Syns- weekend wine2 -
I’ve started going to a slimming world class, but I need some advice.
Ive subscribed to Hello Fresh, so I get 5 dinners & lunches from that. The speed element isn’t always the highest in them.
i can’t have fortified cereals for breakfast as I have an iron overload - but I can have porridge.I’m trying to shop as little as possible & fruit & veg doesn’t last.
Does anyone have any speed tips? I’m not a fan of frozen veg, bar peas & they aren’t speed!
Any frozen mixed veg pouches that are delicious?
Any tips? I can’t be the only person in this situation.1 -

What sort of meals are with hello fresh? I always thought (probably wrong) they were with sauces etc?
I don;t buy frozen veg either, could you add salad to them? or leave a space on your plate and have speed fruit after?Sealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance::dance:0 -
Hello kim and welcome.
I don't know about the syns in Hello Fresh either but I'd recommend pickles for extra Speed. I eat loads of beetroot (vacuum packed or jars) and also cornichons, pickled cabbage and onions. Also if I'm oven cooking anything I put tomatoes and mushrooms in to bake for the last 15 minutes or so but that won't help if you don't buy fresh veg.
I'll Google Hello Fresh and see if I can think of anything else. 😊1 -

They do include veg, but not loads.Just wondered if anyone had any speed tips with limited shopping, I can’t be the only one!Because I buy hello fresh, I don’t do an order big enough for delivery.
Does Amy supermarkets have click and collect for about £20?1 -
I've just had a look and can't see what meals are available with giving my email which I'm not prepared to do. Let us know what meals you've got and we can help.
Is there any reason you can't cook from scratch and need to use companies like Hello Fresh?

I managed to click on ingredients for a few recipes. I think you'll have to be careful about adapting the recipes to SW but it could be done if you choose wisely. I read one that said add 'a glug of oil'. I'd swap that for Frylight.
Out of interest (aka nosiness), why are you doing SW this way? It does seem like quite healthy food and if you're eating this instead of junk then you'll probably lose weight but it seems more difficult to do SW this way than cook from scratch yourself when you control all the ingredients.2
