DH isn't keen on quiche either.  I used chive & onion cottage cheese in it rather than my HEA.  Might give the potato based one a go sometime.  I'll have to eat the rest of the quiche and DH won't put up with it for another lunch!

Forgot to say when I posted earlier that I lost a pound this week so I'm pleased with that having ended the week on 95.5 Syns after a couple of party ring biscuits with a cuppa last night when DH had chocolate hobnobs!

I think it's probably the best SW recipe I have used in the nearly 10 years I've been doing SW!

I actually liked the grated potato, gave it a nice bit of crunch.  Agree it's a bit of a faff but I did mine in my food processor and got DH to squeeze it out so it was nice and dry!

Is that strawberry yoghuert bubbs, or is it just the photo?

Well done on your pound off denise . That's really good going considering it's lockdown and so few distractions other than food.
I'm seriously considering wine syns again tonight. I need a treat.
I got everything I needed in Aldi this afternoon. Just 10 minutes of queuing in the sunshine and then so easy in the shop when it's not crowded. I only bought beetroot from the Super 6 (8 packs! ) . I love aubergines but CBA to change my meal plan to accommodate one.  Is it your voluntary work that's keeping you madly busy bubbs?
Unpacking the shopping and DH looks suspiciously at a packet of turkey mince and says diplomatically 'I don't think we've had this before'?? I'm planning to make some turkey rissoles/burgers from a recipe I found in my recipe box. Anyone would think I was going to poison him. We've been married 40 years in August and it hasn't happened....yet!!

    Morning all  :disappointed:
It's gorgeous out there, such a shame everything that was planned for VE day is not happening when we have such beautiful weather :(

We're going to be having a sort of street party this afternoon - just sitting outside with our cups of tea & cake/bread pudding (if you want - I won't!).  It's the nearest we can get to a street party!

I ended yesterday on 15 Syns so at least I didn't go over!  Today's plan:

    B - bacon & mushroom omelette - P; S
L - LO quiche and salad for me; beans on toast for DH - P; S; F
    D - Fish pie; peas - P; S; F; HEA2; 0.5 syn

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese/milk for cheese sauce
Syns - cornflour 0.5 (if Tbs between us isn't enough I'll use some Xanthum gum as well) weekend wine ?

It's glorious here too. Hoping to get out for a decent walk and enjoy the sunshine.
I enjoyed my wine syns last night although they weren't planned. Not sure about syns for today. I think Ill wait until this evening and see how I feel. It's strange but usually I really value the evenings I have at home but night after night is a bit samey when I'm used to going out 2 or 3 times a week. I'm determined not to eat or drink through boredom though. I think that would be the slippery slope.

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit (F), fried eggs, ham (P), HEB toast, HEA milk
L- JP (F) with cottage cheese (P) and pickles (S)
D- Fake KFC (P), SW chips (F), asparagus, broccoli, tomato, mushrooms
    Syns- tbc
