  • Good morning all! Just wanted to say I am back on board. Never stopped my SW meals, but snacking in the evenings has got out of control. So line firmly drawn, been on own scales this morning, 2 stones away from my official target  :'(. I am reading to catch up, got to where Maman was reinstated, so a fair few pages to go, but will get there. I did go back to my SW group as soon as we were allowed in August, but it was not a nice experience, hardly anyone there from our old group. Did not realise a lot of people take a break over summer hols. But with only 30 allowed per session now, and quite a few just weigh and go, we will never get back our old group. Plus my consultant was friendly but not exactly inspiring, (read chubby :# ) so felt resentful paying £4.95/week. Anyway, back to it, had eggwrap for breakfast with cheese, lettuce and tomatoes ala bubbs, so am nice and full. Have veg soup planned for lunch (already made), and LO chili incl lots of speed for dinner. Will record all food on my paper planner daily to keep track of HEs and syns, and will WI on a Monday and report back here. Hope everyone has a good start to their week. Off to walk dog soon for daily body magic, the sun is trying here. Laters!

The group experience didn’t sound the best pounds in bucks. The consultant is definitely the key to a good group. I’ve changed group a few times as the group I go to isn’t the closest to me.....but I keep going back there as the consultants nearer home just don’t come anywhere close.
Not the best start to my day as we had some free biscuits pushed through the door.....and a girl just has to try such treats.....very nice too 👍

  • Free biscuits milann?  Things like that never happen to me!

Morning all, had a quiet weekend here.  I may have jumped on the scales this morning despite telling myself I wouldn't...but pleased to say I've lost 3.2 lbs.  Finally things are going downwards again and I appear to have got my snacking under control.  I mean there are biscuits and chocolate in the house and I haven't had a single bite of them all week!  Not because I'm telling myself I can't, but because I really don't want to eat them.  I'm concentrating on eating healthy, filling meals, drinking my water, doing a workout before work and then a leisurely walk after work and for a week at least, it appears to be working!

Plan for today is porridge for breakfast again, the last portion of my turkey stir fry for lunch and then steak, egg and chips for dinner tonight as per DH's request.  Hope you all have a good day!

    Morning all,

I’m in a local lockdown so not meant to meet with friends and def not in other peoples houses so the only way I can see my friends is sport and leisure so horse riding it was on Saturday, it’s been a long time due to injury but it was lovely and the weather stayed dry, and a good chat with a friend, from a social distance.

    B: fruit and fibre milk

    L: BP tuna and salad

D : uncle bens reduced sugar (6 syns for a jar) sweet and sour, chicken and rice with added speed.

Trying to be extra good with portion control this week and I have ordered a food diary as I want to see what weeks went better than others. I am down to spin tomorrow night but I’m not sure if I can go yet – fingers crossed I can, I’m definitely feeling better for going so I hope it doesn’t get shut down again with the virus.

That's an excellent loss ruby, well done.😊

Good to see you back PIB.😀 Do ask if you want any syn values or anything now that you're not going to group.

My consultant is overweight too. She attends another group for her own 'journey' but it doesn't seem to be working. She tells us about SW friendly meals she's had but I can't help wondering whether she practises what she preaches.  It doesn't inspire confidence.

I've probably got enough syns left after the weekend to see me through. I'm planning a corned beef hash later in the week so that's all I need them for.  Yesterdays beef was delicious (Aldi's best😉). I'm going to slice up what's left and freeze it for a midweek meal.

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit (F), fried eggs (P), tomatoes and mushrooms (S), HEB toast, HEA1 milk
L- ham (P), fried potato (F), fried veg and beetroot (S)
    D- mushrooms stroganoff (S, HEA2), brown rice (F)
    Syns- 0

Good afternoon all.  Great loss ruby and welcome back PIB.

I think my consultant is still overweight but she's happy with her size and is at target.  Admittedly she has lost an awful lot of weight I think she was something like 20 stone when she started SW.

Have been shopping this morning and spent a fortune at the butchers and in Lidl.  Still need to get a few bits I couldn't get in Lidl but nothing important enough to go to one of the other SMs!

I weighed myself this morning and unbelievably I have actually lost weight (even with fish & chips at the weekend) compared with when I came home on Thursday!  I'm only just outside of top end of target so it's going to be damage limitation from today until WI on Thursday morning, so trying to keep low syn.

    Today's plan:

    B - cheese omelette - P; HEA2
    L - tuna & cucumber sandwich - HEB; P; S; 2 syns for mayo instead of spread
D - keema curry & rice - P; S; F (going to use some of my home grown chillies in it, hope they're not too hot!)

    HEA1 - mik
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
Syns - light mayo 2; may have a couple of biscuits this evening with a cuppa so possibly 4 syns
