Thanks for the S6 bubbs.  Rain's finally stopped here thankfully but of course I'd tumble dried everything as there was far too much washing to have hanging around!  Still need to do the bedding but that can wait until tomorrow as it's looking as though it's going to be dry, assuming the forecast is right!

Think I might have to get some of those Aldi crumpets, that's not too bad synwise and I haven't had crumpets for a very long time!

Thought there would be enough soup for tomorrow as well but wasn't to be, we ate it all today but it was very nice, even if it had to be sieved to get rid of all the bits of pepper skin.  Couldn't believe how many bits there were even after a good whizz in the blender.

Quiet day on here. It's gloriously sunny here so maybe you're all busy doing the washing! 🤣

Our football is on at 8 p.m. this evening so we'll have dinner before it starts.  As it's 6 weeks before I have to go to WI, I'm putting some of the  the recipes that have  a few syns on the plan this week. When I need to lose I try to stick to the lowest syns possible. I did think of having some spring rolls with the stir fry tonight but decided I didn't need them. 😇

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit (F), scrambled eggs (P), HEB toast, HEA milk
L- JP (F) with veggie chilli (P,S), cottage cheese (P) and beetroot (S)
D- chicken stir fry (P,S) with noodles (F)
Syns- HP sauce 1, honey 2.5, weekend wine😁

    Where is everyone?🤔

It's another bright autumn day here, not that there's much happening but I ought to force myself out in the fresh air.  It seems a feature of lockdown is the less I do the less I want to do.  My dancing classes are starting back  up (socially distanced and limited numbers)  in the next week or so, so that'll help get me back into a more normal routine and get some Body Magic in.

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit, skinny syrup, banana (F), HEB porridge, HEA milk
L- veggie omelette (P,S), ham (P), beetroot and cornichons  (S)
D- roast beef (P), SW roast potatoes (F), carrot & swede mash, red cabbage, green cabbage, kale, cauli and broccoli (S)
Syns- HM gravy 4, weekend wine😋

Thanks Bubbs- the crumpets weren’t as bad as I thought - think I must usually have 2 and that’s why I thought they were much worse than they were.
Well I was well and truly peed off yesterday. Dd, sil and gks had planned a weekend with us for my birthday on Monday and dd wanted to see with her own eyes I was doing as well as I was telling her 😂....we had a local lockdown put in place on Friday from midnight. I wasn’t impressed at all. The kids ( with a bit of help from their mum) had made a birthday cake to surprise me.....but they couldn’t come with it.
So we had a virtual birthday cake session. Ds came around ( he is in our bubble)  with a cake and we all lit the candles and blew them out together.....I know it was early for my birthday but kids were a combination of upset and excited - no way they’d have waited until Monday. Then because I was feeling meh - I ate cake and everything else in sight. We also nipped to Wetherspoons and I had gammon, egg and chips. I ate about 6 chips and the gammon. We were out just over an hour and I was totally done in😳 We’d booked a table at Tom Kerridge’s restaurant and we should have been there yesterday but we cancelled.....which was as well as I couldn’t have eaten a full meal and pud and we’d have been out much longer. We will book again in a few weeks - vouchers run out at the beginning of December.
today I’ve had  heb bread, a real sausage from the butchers (low fat and all pork meat) a teaspoon of Tommy K. 6 syns ?
dinner will be cold meats and cheese with tomato and cucumber
tea - turkey steak, cauliflower, carrots and  frilight roast pototoes 1 syn for teaspoon of gravy ( I don’t like much gravy)
    snacks - already and 3 biscuits 😱 15 syns......
    January spends - £587.58

Afternoon all!  I'm back from my friends.  It was great catching up properly as only seen her once since lockdown when it was only 2 households allowed to meet outside so quite a few months ago.  Fish and chips were spectacularly under-whelming!  So just about to get back on plan as my friend only had white bread so I ended up with 2 toast & marmalade on one slice!

    B - white toast; butter; marmalade - estimate that's a full day's syns!
    L - jacket potato, beans, salad - S; F
D - lamb shank; roast potatoes, roasted carrot, onion & pepper; green veg of some sort - P; S; F; 2.5

    HEA - milk
    HEB - none planned
    Syns - white bread 10; butter 3; marmalade 2; lamb shank 2.5

Will weigh myself tomorrow morning to see what my restarting weight is!  Back on plan properly from tomorrow.  Have had a look through the freezer and done my menu plan for most of October, just need to add in another couple of meals, then write my shopping list but not planning on shopping until Tuesday.

Poor you milann, Wetherspoons is hardly Tom Kerridge. ☹️

That's interesting about the 'clean food' bubbs. We eat so well at home, as we all can on SW, that eating out can be a disappointment. I've not had a fish supper from the chippy for so long that now I'm not sure that the local places are any good any more.

Covid is making me very careful about eating out too as we need to be sure places have all the rules in place. We've eaten out just 4 times since March. All were good but the place we went for DH's birthday was a bit dismal as everything was so bare for easy cleaning that it lacked atmosphere.

I think you might be right bubbs.  I know I can have a nice meal indoors for very few syns whereas eating out usually involves a lot of syns so I wonder if I'm subconsciously thinking about how many syns I'm wasting!

The lamb shanks were quite good particularly as they were in a really nice rosemary and mint sauce.  I didn't need to add anything to it at all.  Sometimes I think these ready made sauces are a bit lacking in flavour but this was a nice flavoured sauce but not enough for DH so I had to make him some gravy as well!  But there was enough for me as I don't usually bother with gravy!  These ones were from Asda but I'm going to give the Iceland ones a go as they are actually a bit lower syn and everyone in group reckons they are really good so definitely worth a try but not next month, possibly go on the November plan!

October's menu plan is done now and I have a lot of stuff in the freezer so not too much to buy to go in, although I do want to get some stewing and/or braising steak.  Also need to go to butchers for low fat burgers and sausages.  Sausages are for weekend breakfasts as can't find a decent bacon that isn't full of water.  Think we've tried every supermarket's dry cured bacon but they all still have a lot of water in them so going to stick to sausages for a while before trying again!  Did miss a bacon sarnie though!
