Arrived at Kendal around 1.30pm so had a late lunch of a cheese salad sandwich.  Have had a walk to the local supermarket and got DH some beers!  Didn't need any real shopping as bought enough yesterday at Asda to do meal for at least the time we're here although will probably need to buy a loaf of bread but don't think we'll need anything else.

We're going on the scooter up to Windermere tomorrow as I want to go to the big Lakeland!  I bought some of the scissors that are supposed to cut anything and as everything comes with a 3 year guarantee I'm taking them back as they as so blunt that they barely cut open a pack of frozen peas without ripping and I've only had them about a year!  Thought seeing as we're up here we might as well have a ride out!

Dinner was completely off plan with one of the Asda meals for two - we had chicken tikka masala; chicken madras, onion bharjis, pilau rice and naan bread.  I had less about a third and was full; DH had the rest and said he could have done with more rice!

Now sitting down with a cup of tea.

Afternoon!  Been out on the scooter this morning to Windermere and had a wander round.  Then went round to the big Lakeland store as I wanted to change some scissors I'd bought a year or so ago and are now blunt so bought some different ones to replace them.  Also needed to buy some vanilla extract so picked that up while I was there.

Today started off SW friendly with a cheese omelette and a bacon sandwich for lunch but then off plan with a Chelsea bun!  Tonight will be duck breast, new potatoes & veg so a bit off plan as I will probably eat some of the skin (as long as it is crispy!).

Weather has changed today and it is quite a bit cooler and drizzling with rain - glad we went out this morning and didn't leave it until this afternoon.  Thought the forecast said it wasn't going to rain until tomorrow!  Had hoped the sun might come out this afternoon but it doesn't look like it will.

Hopefully the crowds of people we encountered in Bowness a couple of weeks ago won’t be there. It was so mad we didn’t even get out of the car 😳 we drove to Morcambe instead.
ive had a mixed day.....meals fine but I’ve been doing lots of snacking.....

We had a quick walk round as it was quite busy so didn't stop long and didn't actually go in any shops, apart from when we went to Lakeland.  We beat the queue by going for a coffee first as it looked like rain and there were about 10 people in front of us!  We had a coffee and then straight into the shop, the queue was still long when we left.

We've decided we're going to go straight home from here rather than stopping at another site as we'd planned.  Need to call the site to tell them we won't be stopping after all.  It's on grass and as we've got a 4.5 tonne van it will ruin the grass so not fair on the owner.  It'll be about 6 hours to go straight home so we'll leave on Friday morning by 9.30 and then stop half way for lunch and back on the road for another 3ish hours home by mid afternoon.

No not a month yet.  It's just over 3 weeks at the moment but we're here at Kendal until Friday morning so that will be 25 days so not quite a month but yes, it has gone quickly but not as quick as it seems to go when we're in France, LOL!
