Well done on your loss gtq. They all count!😉 Have a great time in Rome and remember to stick to tomato based pasta sauces!!😋

Been given a dispensation by our consultant! She has never been abroad, terrified of enclosed spaces, so she wants a photo of a pasta dish from there!  Have threatened to pick up some dry pasta in supermarket and take a photo of that :D
A smile costs little but creates much :)

    🤣
Seriously though, I always try to fit in a supermarket visit when I'm away. I like to buy a few food souvenirs that remind me of my holiday. I'll post some pictures. 😊

Basil and Oregano from Milan, Thyme and White Pepper from Holland (all from their Aldi and Lidl ), bags of ground black pepper and peppercorns from a Turkish market. French storage boxes in the background.😁

I usually use a full punnet of chestnut mushrooms maman for the cheesy garlic mushrooms - made with 150g first time and like you say a very mean portion!  I use the SlimmingEats recipe.  Which one do you use?  I usually slice them quite thickly but like bubbs smaller ones just cut in half.

My laptop charger has given up the ghost so unless I can manage to buy one when I'm in York tomorrow I could well be offline for a while as only got about 30% charge left!

Thanks bubbs.  Didn't think I'd have a problem to be honest and I definitely won't be going into Betty's for cake!

I did Bettys once just to say I’d tried it on our 40th wedding anniversary.  It was nice but overpriced and I’d just as happily go to other cake shops without the big queue.
    Today I’ve had
breakfast - heb toast with peanut butter and jam 4 syns ?
dinner  - picky plate - cheese  1/2 hea, tomato, cucumber, carrot, hm hummus, cup of hm broccoli and Stilton soup 1/2 hea
tea - rice, mushroom, chicken and garlic in sauce 1/2 syn for bit of cornflour
im having a Morrison’s chocolate sponge and custard - no idea how many syns but it’s just what I fancy so I’m having it 👍
    January spends - £587.58

Thanks for the mushroom info. I use the Slimming Eats recipe too but add either Primula or triangles and a bit of Parmesan for extra cheesiness (is that a word? 🤔). I usually buy chestnut mushrooms if they have them in the big Aldi packs of Wonky mushrooms but it's good to know I can use white if that's all I can get.
Hope you can get a charger denise. 😊
