Sorry your meal was a disappointment denise. There's nothing worse than syns that you don't enjoy. ☹️ Somehow it seems even worse at the moment as going out for a meal is a supposed to be a real treat.

Well done for getting back on track milann. 😊

Certainly wasn't a treat maman and won't be going back but it was nice seeing my sister as not seen her since before Christmas!  We were due to meet up in April mid-way between our birthdays - mine's end March her's is end April so we usually get together for a meal and a drink.  We usually stay at her house for the night so we can have a drink without having to worry about driving home.

Well done milann on getting back to plan; at least you're within syns for the week as I'm sure I am.

    Evening all
Been a busy day. Just chilling out and catching up with stuff that I haven’t had time for. Watched the rugby tonight- Tigers finally won :D took them long enough :D so I’m a happy bunny this evening and I bet hubby will be too when he gets home.

I’ve switched from group membership to online. The friend who I used to go to group with has quit as she can’t afford it anymore, so I have no transport. My consultant doesn’t always understand my transport issues and/or caring/work commitments so I told a white lie and said it’s due to work (as I know if I had have said I’ve got no transport she would have told me to get a taxi or something which is all well and good but she’s not the one who has to pay for it) Also I just can’t justify paying £5 a week just to weigh in. I won’t be able to stay on the weeks I can make it so I just don’t think there’s any point. Also when I go back to work it’s horrendously tight on timing, and I can’t stand the stress and the inevitable complaints I get when I have to leave early because I’ve got work.

Plus I’m happy with my own scales- I don’t want the judgement of the likely massive difference on the scales as my starting weight was wrong, so I’ve had a fresh start with the correct weight. I just feel so much happier, I don’t know why I didn’t do this a while ago.

    Today’s food:
B: HiFi x 2 HEXB, apple, pear. Decaf coffee with HEXA
L: 2 jacket potatoes (2) with HEXA Laughing Cow Light Blue Cheese, beans, vegan cheese (3.5) salad with f/f vinaigrette. Easy peeler, flat peach. Water
    Snack: Fridge Raiders (3)
T: Beef olives (2) couscous (0.5) Salad with f/f vinaigrette
S: 3 x Ryvita (4.5) with HEXA Laughing Cow Light Blue Cheese and ham, Hula Hoops Pufts (3.5)
    Syns: 19
    Night all xx

Hope doing online works out for you Mrs R; I know that a lot of people say it's not worth the money.  If it doesn't work for you perhaps you could give it a try going it alone with just this thread to be accountable to.  Quite a few people do that.  I only go to group for the company otherwise I don't see many people other than DH and DDs and their families.  It's just nice being able to chat to other people once a week.

So it's WI for me this morning so will be back later with my menu plan and how I've done this week, hoping it's still a small loss as I definitely didn't use all my syns this week, even with the rubbish meal out yesterday.

I’m just thinking to myself that even if my loss is small or maintain, (I have been very good minus the eat out to help out) that my diet in general has improved so much in the last month. No butter, no bread, mayo used to be had with a lot of meals, or tommy k. always a condiment. More fruit less chocolate. No actual crisps in a month, less snacking and picking. Got to be making a difference to my health anyway

I’m an online member having never been a group member, I just don’t think it would be worth it going to the group as it would just be for the weigh in. I don’t think I could face the classes to be honest. Least online I can read the articles etc in my own time – it might not be worth what we paying but it is a great starting block for me, and it has worked so far

    Todays menu

B: fruit and fibre, semi skimmed milk
L:  jacket potato with egg mayo (mayo synned) tomatoes and chives

D : HM Chicken curry (mwakway synned) lots of speed and rice

S: apple, banana and not sure what else if anything !

Morning all.  Sorry to hear your meal wasn't that good denise - sounds like they were a little out of practice at the restaurant.

Well done for getting back on plan milann, the hardest thing is to draw a line and carry on but that's what helps in the end.

Good luck with the online membership Mrs R.  I've never been part of a group or online but my mum and in-laws have so I've picked up the "rules" from them as well as hundreds of online resources.  Some people need that actual accountability, I just like being accountable to you all

Those changes that you've made klew are all about making this a sustainable change not just a fad diet.  You'll see that they start becoming ingrained in you and almost automatic eventually.

Having a later start to my working day today as we have a team discussion scheduled to finish at 5pm and I'm usually done by 4!  Will still make time for my evening walk before dinner - it's really helping to clear my head and decompress from the working day.

B - Porridge (HEB &1/2 HEA unsweetened almond milk), banana, blueberries
L - Greek Salad (HEA feta)
D - Pasta with prawns, mushrooms, green beans, pesto (3 syns)
    S - Latte (1/2 HEA Oat milk)

Sorry to hear about your gran teteI will check but I think that when I was trying to find HEBs on the website last week I noticed that some Dorset cereals had been taken off the list. ☹️
It's the nutty muesli, definitely still included I checked!

What a disappointment that meal sounded Denise, as someone else said, nothing worse than wasted syns! :(

MrsR, online membership sounds the right way forward for you - as you say, if getting to group isn't easy then realistically you probably won't go.

I'm sure I wanted to say something else to someone but because I'm quoting from the previous page, I can't move to the last page without losing the quote I don't think... I miss the multiquote thing!

Not totally decided on my menu today yet either. I'll have a think and pop back in a bit!

Thanks for the encouragement I’m so pleased I found this site 👏
Mrs R is there much difference price wise to online v group membership. I’m giving group a go again but mainly for the companionship but if it’s a lot different and the friends I’ve made aren’t there I might go to online only. I had used to use the site a lot as I think the stories are inspiring and I like checking the syns. It certainly sounds like the way forward for you.
Good luck with the weigh in jd
Hope your day doesn’t seem too long from 4-5 pm Ruby when you’re usually used to finishing at 4.
Klew like you say it has to be better for our health to cut back on certain things and only have them as treats not the norm.
    Today
breakfast - heb bacon, tomato and mushroom on toast
not a clue what I’m doing for the rest of the day but it will be sw friendly. Dh is off today and not too sure if we’re heading out or not.
I’m having my kitchen knocked about big time in a couple of weeks so I’m on a mission to use the contents of my freezer up before the builder comes. Clearing the kitchen cupboard  out yesterday I found a box of 100 Jaffa cakes, a box of shortbread and a box of foxes chocolate biscuits I’d bought before last Christmas when they were on offer. We haven’t even opened them....the Jaffa cakes are out of date 😳 I’ve put them out of sight in my car to take in work when I go back on Tuesday - they taste fine and they’ll be gone in a minute at work- no one will bother about the date. The biscuits will go in work on my birthday in September save me buying more. I’m quite impressed they are still there at one time I’d have scoffed the lot. This year I must remember to shop according to eating plan and not get sucked in with the offers 🤪

I'm back from WI.  Very small group this morning, just 6 stayed out of about a dozen who weighed.  A lot of people are on holiday this week as it's the last week before the kids go back to school and there are quite a few people with school age children in my group.

I was surprised as I actually put on 0.5lb!  According to my scales I'd lost 0.5lb.  Oh well, never mind I'm still in target but only got 4.5lb to play with for my month's holiday but I'm sure it's doable as we'll be eating in the vast majority of the time, probably even more than we usually do when away in the motorhome.  Normally we'd eat out at least once a week but don't think we will be in this country as it is much more expensive!  We can get a 3 course meal with half bottle wine for less than £20 each in France, we'll be luck to get a main meal plus glass of wine in this country!

    Today's plan:

    B - overnight oats - HEB; S; F
    L - Greek salad - part HEA; S
D - spinach & feta pie; new potatoes; green beans; peas - part HEA; S; F;5.5

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - feta
    HEB - porridge
    Syns - filo 5.5; rum x 2 5
