The mushroom stroganoff went down well. DH really enjoyed it so it'll be a keeper. I think it could have done with more sauce but I was afraid it would be a bit watery, next time I'll add more stock. I was wondering how much difference there is between the recipe I used and the cheesy, garlic mushrooms which are more saucy. 😁🤔

I used the last portion of brown rice from the freezer so need to make more. It's so easy to make up the equivalent of a microwave pouch, so much simpler than cooking brown rice from scratch each time. 😊

    Evening all,
Oooh you are a chatty lot!  It's taken me a while to catch up on the chatter over the past couple of days.
On the dinner/lunch/tea/supper front, I'm a southerner, living in the midlands (which I think is a very confused part of the world anyway because they sound northern, but think they live in the south!).  I would say B/L/D and if we ate out late, say going to a show and eating after, that would be supper, or if we had a snack later in the evening, that's a supper.  OH used to say B/L/D, but he's had to adapt to save any confusion.  To me, tea is something in the late afternoon with a cuppa, and what the kiddies would have had if their main meal were at lunchtime, consisting of a sandwich, fruit and maybe a sweet treat like a jam tart/biscuit.  We have Christmas lunch too

I have an upset tum again last night after yesterday's food.  OH thinks it might be the pasta or the sauce/red meat, as he said I had the same last week.
    Today's plan:
    b - wm bagel (5) & spread (3)
    L - lettuce, cucumber, tomato, quorn turkey/stuffing slices, cheese HEA1, dressing (1);
sf jelly with mango & melon with cream (3)
D - skinny burger & chicken thigh, sw chips baked beans, ketchup (1)
    HEA2 - milk in tea/coffee

I'm off work now until next Weds.  nothing planned, and not sure the weather is forecast to be great, but it'll be nice to have some time off.
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home

    Evening all
My friend has indicated she might well rejoin at some stage so if that’s the case I’ll transfer back. I’ve actually really enjoyed the autonomy of weighing on my own scales, I haven’t always attended Zoom meetings and only use the FB groups to post the odd food picture. So I’m thinking online might actually work quite well here. I paid £65 for silver membership which includes a year’s worth of print SW mags. This is a saving of over a tenner so that’s decent enough.
On the B/L/D debate I’m a Geordie living in the Midlands and it’s breakfast, dinner, tea here :D
Been a miserable day here. Was going to go to my fitness class but I had a heck of a headache and fell asleep on the sofa- whoops :D
    Today’s food:
B: HEXB 2 x HiFi, flat peach, easy peeler. Cup of decaf coffee with HEXA
D: Irish stew (2.5) Mixed veg, Fibre One choc popcorn bar (3.5)
T: Chicken stuffed with black pudding (2) Couscous (0.5) salad with f/f vinaigrette
    KitKat (10)
S: SW chips with salt and vinegar
    Syns: 18.5
    Night all xx

  • Happy bunny here, 2 1/2lb off, who knows, maybe lockdown is having a positive effect on my loss and I start to see the decent losses I had at the beginning of my journey.  So excited for weekend, going out to eat tonight & tomorrow, not been out to eat since before lockdown, coincidentally both bookings are Turkish restaurants, so will be able to eat SW friendly!
A smile costs little but creates much :)

Morning all.  Another Southerner here although I did live in the North East when I went to uni so got used to the B/D/T convention but to me it will always be B/L/D and supper is a snack (usually cheese and crackers) that you have in the evening if you're still peckish, particularly used at Christmas in my house growing up.

Even though it was raining yesterday I still pushed myself to go out for a walk after work and actually felt really good.  Managed to get back just before it turned into a monsoon so I felt extra smug   Not a lot planned for the bank holiday weekend.  Think curled up on the sofa with a book is my kind of speed for the next couple of days.

B - Porridge (HEB & 1/2 HEA unsweetened almond milk), blueberries, choc pot (2 syns)
    L - Greek Salad (3 syns & HEA)
D - LO chilli with rice and salad
    S - Latte (1/2 HEA oat milk)

Might also treat myself to a beer this evening as well.  Hope you all have a good day.

It's been a very interesting 'conversation' with regard to B/L/D v B/D/T but I think we'll all just carry on as we already do!

Well done GTQ, that's a great loss.  Enjoy your meals out.

Mrs R it might be worth doing a food diary where you make a note if anything upsets your stomach; at least that way you might be able to work out what it causing a problem but for the time being perhaps avoid pasta to see if that is the problem.

Another load of washing on the line but need to keep an eye on the weather as it's forecast to rain later and want to get it in as soon as it starts so at least it'll be nearly dry if not dry.

    Today's plan:

    B - eggs on toast - HEB; P
    L - prawn cocktail - P; S; 0.5
D - fish pie; peas; green beans - P; S; F; 4 (fresh peas from my £1.50 Lidl box; beans from garden)

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
Syns - tom ketchup 0.5; cheese sauce mix 4

Yipeeee the torrential rain has stopped and the sun is out.
I have been a good girl and had a cooked brunch today after yesterday! My god i was so hungry last night!

Denise, i thought it was Sary that had the upset tummy, not Mrs R?
    Well done GTQ, great loss

I am in the middle of sorting out but thought i'd just come and say hello 😂
