Evening everyone
Not much to report here. I’m still fascinated with the new toy that is the TVI’ve added Ultra HD to the package and got my subtitles on so I’m happy
Last Zoom WI tomorrow, but I’m thinking of switching to permanently online. My friend who would usually give me a lift has quit because she can’t afford to go to group anymore, OH can give me a lift if he’s not on overtime but I’m just going to be weighing and going all the while as OH will have to get back for work.Today’s food:
B: HiFi x 2, flat peach, easy peeler. Decaf coffee with HEXAL: Irish stew (2.5) carrot, cauliflower and broccoli. Fibre One popcorn bar (3.5)Snack: 2 x pack Fridge Raiders (2)
T: Salmon skewers (2) Mexican rice salad
Mini Milkybar lolly (5) water

Tried a new recipe today using the slow cooker - chicken, sweet potato and lentil curry, from the Slimming Eats website. Syn free 😁 Not necessarily the best looking meal but yummy

Morning all. It's horrible this morning - the rain woke me up with it coming against the bedroom window. DH was already up though and I didn't even hear him get up.
Got to go shopping this morning as no fresh veg apart from a few potatoes and a few onions and only a few grapes left. Going reasonably early and hoping to get another Lidl £1.50 box! If not I'll definitely need to buy some fruit and veg. Going to get a couple of red apples and use up the red cabbage in the fridge to make a batch of braised red cabbage for the freezer.
Today's plan:
B - beans on toast; marmalade on toast - HEB; F; 2
L - chicken stirfry with noodles - P; S; F
D - salmon and spinach with tartare cream - P; S; F; 1.5
HEA - milk
HEB - bread
Syns - 2tsp marmalade 2; 1 Tbs half fat creme fraische 1.5; perhaps a lolly later 6
Counted up my syns yesterday and I still had 45 syns for today and tomorrow so I can have whatever I decide I fancy rather than just having to stick to something SW friendly!

L - Beans on toast (HEB), cheese (1/2 HEA), tomatoes
D - Pasta with prawns, mushrooms, green beans, pest (4 syns), parmesan (1/2 HEA)

Morning! Not the greatest day!
Any suggestions for picnic food? Meeting up with my Arabic class on Monday, we had a zoom meeting last night to discuss it, all agreed that it will probably be better for us each to take our own food rather than sharing platesI want to have proper picnic food that will be SW friendly, will make mini quiches and probably some houmous with carrot sticks, but want to be able to graze over a couple of hours, so would like a little bit of variety.
A smile costs little but creates much1 -
On my recent picnic we took chicken, beef rolled around a gherkin, sw quiche with tomato, onion, ham and cottage cheese, sw falafel yoghurt and mint dip, hummus and veg to dip, cheese and cherry tomato on cocktail sticks and tuna pasta and salad. We had several food stops and it lasted all day - we didn’t have any tea we were so full when we got in. I took some mini jammie dodgers too but brought them home.
January spends - £587.580 -
Today’s plan
breakfast - yoghurt with plum, satsuma, strawberry and apple.
dinner - cheese and beans on toast hea & heb
tea - hm sw ready meal from freezer with rice
snacks - fruit and something from snack box
I always use my extra hea in drinks. I don’t measure it every day as I should but every now and then I measure it so that I know how many drinks it roughly does - I tried having a separate bottle of measured milk for just me but we kept forgetting to use it 🙄 I usually measure my cheese.
Meals have been ok but I’m having a bit of a fed up day and the chocolate box succumbed...so did some quavers and biscuits 😡 but I counted my wrappers and comes in just under 30 syns.....should be ok over the week if I watch what I’m doing.....line drawn and fresh start from now 👍January spends - £587.581 -
Morning all,
Have been staying on track I went for a swim Sunday morning and burned 835cals and was starving all dayI had made spag bol by 12 lol but stuck to plan. Yesterday was leftover spag bol for dinner and diet coke gammon for tea which was lovely with plenty of veg. Today just had some grapes so far but I'm going for a subway salad at dinner and we are having chicken curry for tea, I've also got zumba booked tonight

Blowy and wet here today too. ☹
I don't measure milk either milann. Like you, I did at the start and I know that the splash that I have in my teas doesn't use up a HEA in a day. I used to religiously finish it off with a milky coffee in the evening but I've got a bit more slap dash about it. I was thinking last night that next week I really need to tighten up before my first WI. I plan to text my consultant this Thursday to ask for a slot next week.
My dance class had a picnic a couple of weeks ago gtq but we just had the one break in the middle. I took a rice salad which I'd chopped some cold sausages into and another pot with berries and yogurt.
You've done brilliantly to have so many syns to spare this week denise.👼 I did red cabbage for the freezer at the weekend . I always count it as syn free because despite the cooked apple and sweetener I think the syns per portion must be tiny. We don't have huge portions because the taste can be overpowering so I got 6 x 2 portions from it. I always freeze braised red cabbage and also swede & carrot mash. DH and I could never eat a whole swede or cabbage in one sitting so it makes sense to cook it all in one go and portion it up. It's so easy when I'm doing a roast too.
I'm super organised this morning because I won't be here in the late afternoon as I have my first dental appointment!! 😁 I've prepped our dinner and while I was at it I've prepped my lunch too. I want to try a new recipe for Pasta Peperonata. If I like it then I'll try it out as another veggie dinner with DH. It lends itself to adding meat too like chopped sausages or chicken.
Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit, baked beans (F), fried egg, bacon (P), HEB toast, HEA1 milk
L- Pasta Peperonata (f,S) with HEA2 Parmesan
D- chicken casserole (F,P,S) with cauli and broccoli (S)
Syns- cornflour 11
