Well done on the loss Mrs_R and *hugs* for you, hoping today is a little easier. I thought you had a loss last week GTQ but I might be getting myself confused...sure it will come off just as easily.
Had a lovely evening out yesterday - managed to get into a very, very generous size 8 dress that I bought before lock down which made me happy (I'm more like a 12 at the moment). Food was good (halloumi fries starter, steak with fries, onion loaf, little bit of salad, lettuce wedge with Stilton and blue cheese dressing and half a creme brulee for desert). Clearly was in a cheesy mood! Was nice to spend some time out of the house with DH feeling a bit civalised doing something relatively normal. Bonus that we only actually paid £45 for the whole thing including a tip after various vouchers and discounts.
Straight back on plan today though:
B - Porridge (HEB & 1/2 HEA unsweetened almond milk), strawberries, blueberries, 2 syns golden syrup (I fancied the real stuff today)
L - Ham and beetroot salad again
D - Mushroom Risotto (1/2 HEA parmesan), green beans
Hope everyone has a good day today.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20172 -
Hope you're having a really good time denise. It's hot and humid but overcast here at the moment but sun promises to come out later and stay until next week.😁
Glad you had a good night out ruby. I don' feel so bad about having cheese when I' m out as I used to as at least 6 syns worth are offset by the 2nd HEA😉. I still don't use it every day but I'm definitely having bubbs' cheesy garlic mushrooms this weekend.

Anyone watched the slimming programmes that have been on this week? Interested me that ,apparently, if you leave mushrooms out in the sun for an hour it massively increases the Vitamin D content. My mushrooms are going out sunbathing PDQ!
I think it helps a lot to try new recipes gtq. It's not just that it breaks the monotony of lockdown ☹ but SW often recommend shaking up what you eat. I think it's because bodies can sort of get in a rut and need a bit of a shake up. I had a quick Google of those roasting tin recipes that tete uses, there are some nice things on there like different traybakes.

Today's EE plan-

L- veggie omelette (P,S), beetroot (S), ham (P)
D- SW Bolognese (P,S) with spaghetti (F) ad HEA2 Parmesan

Evening all
Thanks for all your kind words. Had a tough few days but I’m getting there. Got a lovely surprise of some flowers from my mum today which cheered me up. No fitness class tonight- my mood is still a bit low I think. But I’m taking a day to myself tomorrow and going to Birmingham- there’s some stuff I need. Hoping retail therapy will help.Had my Iceland delivery- looking forward to trying the lunch pots, they look lovely. There’s been a few people on the group Facebook page saying they’ve had them and really enjoyed them so hopefully they’re as nice as they seem!I’m sat in the back garden, it’s cooled down a lot but it’s not cold and it’s lovely and peaceful out here watching the sunset. I’ve just demolished a Dairy Milk Ice Cream as well(they’re OH’s from ages ago, but since then he’s been diagnosed Type 2 Diabetic so I tell him I’m doing him a favour
)
Today’s food:
B: HEXB HiFi x 2, Apple, pear, decaf coffee with HEXA s/s
L: Sardine spaghetti (from last issue of the SW mag) and salad, water, Fibre One popcorn bar (3.5)
T: Chinese style chicken curry (SW frozen meal, that was really nice) SW frozen chips, salad with f/f vinaigrette, Dairy Milk ice cream (13.5)
S: Chicken thighs
Syns: 17
I’ve finally managed to figure out my new scales. They’re really weird though, you have to tap them hard with your foot before you stand on them! The numbers are looking promising so hopefully that will still be the case on Tuesday

Hope you enjoy your day in Birmingham Mrs_R. I'm going to book a week off at the beginning of September just to have a break myself.
It's already really warm here so have started work early so I can chill in the garden later with a book.
B - Branflakes (HEB), skimmed milk (1/2 HEA), strawberries, blueberries
L - Ham and beetroot salad (really enjoying this and the meal prepping has made things a lot easier when it comes to lunch times)
D - Chicken pesto pasta bake (3 syns and 1 HEA), green beans
Hope you all have a good day!Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20172 -

Baking hot here too.😎
Went to Home Bargains yesterday as DH wanted gardening stuff. Food shelves particularly looking empty. I'm not sure whether that's a supply problem or because people are starting another wave of stockpiling, maybe a bit of both. I bought some more pickles. You can never have too much beetroot!🤣 Glad you're enjoying it ruby. 😉
That looks like two good days of menus sary with plenty of Speed. Definitely salad weather, not that I'm having any. Fortunately, the front of my house, including the dining room is north facing so stays quite cool so I'm having hot food despite the sunshine.
Meant to ask bubbs, did you use mayo on your prawn cocktail? t looked delicious.
Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit, baked beans (F), fried egg (P), HEB toast, HEA milk
L- LO chicken free casserole (F,S,P) with pickled cabbage (S)
S- Fake KFC (P), SW chips (F) mushrooms, broccoli, tomatoes, courgettes (S)2 -
Going to bite the bullet next week! It will be our last zoom class and as we have been weighing in the morning so the consultant could upload the data, pretty certain that it has been showing lighter than I am, so next Thursday, will weigh at "class" time, with my flip flops on so that when I weigh live the following week, it will be a genuine movement, hopefully loss.
There are more important things in life than getting upset about a gain, so going to suck it up, whatever it is. As you know, some of my family emigrated to Canada and arrived there the day before the country went into lock down, which meant that getting a job was going to be difficult. He sent me a photo yesterday of a cent (he thought it was a penny) which he found in his shoe and asked if I had put it there! Told him it would be lucky and it was, starting a job on Monday week as dental receptionist. They went there with the attitude of doing any job while they settled in and then could look for jobs in their own field, his DW may find it more difficult in her own field (PhD in micrcobiology, so either lecturer or her preference, research) I am over the moon for them, it will do so much for their mental health, although have a wonderful sideline of volunteering at the zoo!A smile costs little but creates much2 -
