That was a lovely gesture bubbs.  I wouldn't have bothered with applies either!  I don't actually like them very much although I do buy them for DH occasionally but he has to fancy them so I don't buy them unless he asks for them otherwise they'd get wasted.

What a thoughtful thank you that was bubbs. I use eating apples to make the braised red cabbage. It's not that I don't like them raw, I'm just lazy. I like an apple chopped into cottage cheese. It makes a good snack of an evening if I feel peckish. 🙂
I'm sure your meal was tasty with the herbs tete. I just thought you might like to see more veg. 🤔
Shame about the JP. Have you tried the recipe bubbs uses for cheesy garlic mushrooms. That's with soft cheese and it's lush. 😋
Change of plan here. As I ate quite a bit this afternoon, DH asked if he could have one of his ready meals for his dinner. I think he's missed having macaroni cheese which is his go to when I'm out of an evening which I haven't done for 4 months. I don't like it, too sloppy. ☹️ So he's had that and I'll have a snack later if I fancy anything.

Ouch to the melon gtq. If I have BNS ruby, I cut it in big rings/slices and then take the skin off by cutting it off vertically on a board, if that makes sense. 🤔
Dancing was good today but tiring as I'm out of practice.

Morning all, it's a bit breezy at the moment but still warm.  Supposed to be getting up to mid 20s again today so that will be nice again.

Don't know if I've ever mentioned it before but we have a waterbed and it sprang a leak a couple of nights ago! so had to order a new "bladder" which contains the water.  It took all afternoon and most of the evening to empty it before being able to dry out the liner, fortunately we were able to do that over the chairs in the garden and it dried really quickly fortunately.

We then had to fill it up which took another 2.5/3 hours to do but of course the water is too cold to sleep on so had to sleep in the spare bed again which is so hard after our bed!  DH is complaining of a sore neck and back!

Forgot to weigh this morning before breakfast so going to assume it's an STS from last week as I'm not sure what I was on Monday is the same today!

    Today's plan:

    B - cheese omelette - HEA; P
    L - bacon & mushroom sandwich - HEB; P; S; 3.5
    D - corned beef hash - S; F; 4

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheese
    HEB - bread
    Syns - butter 3.5; corned beef 4; 3 rum 7.5

Not sure how often I'll get online while we're away so won't be posting daily.

Thanks for the tip maman, I do usually buy the prepared stuff GTQ but it's not always available where I am so sometimes have to resort to it in it's natural form!

Hope you have a nice holiday denise - I keep trying to convince DH to go away somewhere in the UK but he doesn't get as much annual leave as me and is reluctant to go somewhere for a weekend.  Here's hoping we can still go away in December as we planned.

B - Poached egg on toast (HEB), mushrooms
L - Ham and beetroot salad (same as yesterday)
    D - Miller & Carter  :p

Having an off plan date night evening tonight at our local Miller & Carter.  DH suggested we book to take advantage of the Eat Out to Help Out scheme, plus we have a £25 gift card for there and he can get an additional 10% cashback on instant vouchers through his work so we're going to be saving a lot of money essentially!  Will be nice to get a little dressed up and have a nice evening out (hopefully!)
