DH had so many issues trying to get his medication that eventually the GP walked out of the surgery mid appointment, walked round to the pharmacy and checked what was in stock before writing the prescription!

Blimey that's dire isn't it, but at least it saved you some hassle I suppose!

I feel like I am defending my dinner here but I will because it was nice! I was just querying how it didn't feel very speedy in the end even though it was easily 2/3 speed to begin with. It also contained lemon juice, chilli, garlic and dill, was very tasty and I've got six meals out of it. The tomatoes were homegrown as well so doubly tasty! :p

On the other hand the heated cottage cheese/mushroom sauce just now didn't turn out as I had envisaged it in my head, it didn't melt and go all creamy like I hoped (I've never heated it before), it kind of curdled and although it tasted OK, it was a bit chewy and looked like scrambled egg  :s One big bonus of WFH though is being able to make proper jacket potatoes in the oven for lunch - YUM!

ETA  - It's not just you Ruby those biscuits are like crack. I imagine.

Love the Lotus biscuits!  That's why a buy the mini packs of 2.  If I bought the big packs I'd probably end up eating the pack (apart from the ones that DH pinches :))!

  • Oh how lovely Bubbs! I was cutting up a melon last night & managed to nick my finger, luckily only going to be me eating it, but the amount of blood, couldn't understand how there was blood getting everywhere. When I finished, discovered that I had managed to nick 3 fingers, hence blood coming from different nicks, which explained why there was blood everywhere!

Oh that's lovely bubbs, shame about the apples though

You've just reminded me GTQ that I was going to buy melon this week to freeze (never tried it but apparently good substitute for a lolly according to my South Korean friends) and didn't.  Glad I gave it a miss because otherwise I'd probably have cut myself more than you as I have problems just peeling and cutting butternut squash when I can be bothered with the faff!
