maman I forgot to say don't forget to score the fat of the duck breast so that the fat renders down easily, the more that renders down the more you can pour off before putting the pan into the oven

    Evening,

hasn’t the weekend gone quickly?!  Can’t believe it’s Monday again tomorrow.

Bubbs we went to The Company shop
today. Got some bargains and squeezed what I could in the freezer. Think we will go earlier in the day next time though Because quite a bit of stuff had sold out. Got 2 x chicken Breast fillets  for 80p, trays of bbq chicken drumsticks for 40p (like you’d get from M&S), packs of M&S sliced chicken breast for 40p, 250g packs of 50% lighter grated cheese, and packets of wm bagels for 25p. Some things weren’t much cheaper than Lidl, so you need to know your prices. I did get 100 pack of fairy dishwasher pods for £10.
OH and I decided we will go there whenever we are passing through, or when the freezer has been run down low. As it is we have now brimmed the freezer, and I promptly emptied a load of stuff out of my Tesco online shopping Basket, reducing that by £30!

    Plan today:
    b - ff yogurt with melon &banana
    L - 2 chicken drumsticks 1 slice bread (6)
    d - bbq burger (4) & sausages (2) mixed salad, bread roll HEB dressing & ketchup (3)

One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Sary , what time did you go? we got there about 11.15, i bought more chicken breasts and some of that marks cooked chicken slices, lidl muller style yogs 10p, bacon twin pack think is was £1.30, packs of ham 40p  .
It is certainly worth popping in if you pass anyway
Yes have to know your prices, i am lucky i do 😂

Bubbs we got there at about 2:30pm. A lot of the meat shelves had been practically cleared! I said to OH we probably would be better to go earlier in the day, maybe even mid-week to get better stock levels.

Morning all, hope you've all had a nice weekend! Well done on your loss TIE and congrats on the new nephew!

As well as seeing my aunty, I met a friend for a visit to an outdoor bird/owl centre and that was lovely although we did get caught in an almighty thunderstorm with nowhere to shelter.

Thanks @Chieveley for doing the chart - I'll definitely find that motivational. I was STS for Saturday 1st August, and will aim for 12lb for the remaining 8 weeks (1.5 per week) - gotta aim high eh? (or low in this case). I really wish they'd bring back the function to change text colour :(
(Related question - when you tag someone with the @ does it send a notification?)

    Today:
    B - Banana, melon, passionfruit
D - Scrambled egg and mushrooms on toast
T - Pearl barley roast with leeks and tomatoes*
    HEA - Milk
    HEB - Toast
Syns - Sugar (4), butter on toast (4), hot chocolate or Kit Kat later (2-5) = up to 14

*I've mentioned them before I'm sure, but I've got the Roasting Tin books by Rukmini Iyer and they are brilliant! The recipes are all so easy and flavoursome and most can be adapted to SW (many already are anyway).

I bought some of the Nevill's bread after seeing it's two slices for HEB, I hadn't realised how cheap it was! Today will be my first taste test though, to be honest if it's not amazing that can only be a good thing as I'll be less tempted to eat too much, but it'll be good to have in the freezer for occasional toast.

I have a few errands to run this morning so I'm going to walk rather than take the car.

    Happy new week everyone!

@Tete_en_l'Air when you tag someone using the @ they only get a notification if they have them set up - I don't as don't want loads of notifications as I post of a few threads.  I just bookmark the ones I regularly use to find the threads I want to see.

    Today's plan:

    B - scrambled eggs with smoked salmon - P
    L - HM carrot & coriander soup - S; F
D - low fat butcher's burger in WM roll with onions, chips, beans - HEB; S; F; 0.5

    HEA - milk
    HEB - WM roll
    Syns - burger 0.5

Bit low on Speed today so will probably have some fruit to up it a bit!

Morning everyone!  Thanks for doing the chart @Chieveley, could you put me down for 7lbs target please?  I usually weigh in on a Monday so will leave it up to you to sort out which week I'm weighing for!  Reporting a 2.8lb gain this week but that's because it's star week and I'm bloated as per usual.  Plus the BBQ was definitely not SW friendly maman

Went to Pizza Express on Saturday to meet DH's sister - had the tuna salad without the bread sticks and had the dressing on the side so I could dip the odd mouth full into it but really didn't have much.  Then shared some tiramisu with DH.  Then yesterday with MIL, she kept just throwing things on my plate so had a posh M&S hot dog in a brioche bun with onions, a massive plate of salad that I made up myself, M&S potato salad (the full fat kind), burger in another brioche bun and then some key lime pie with a massive dollop of extra think double cream!  Was very glad I didn't have breakfast and definitely didn't need any dinner after all that  :D

Today is definitely a lighter syn day:

B - Branflakes (HEB), skimmed milk (1/2 HEA), blueberries
L - Potato, pepper and carrot hash, egg
D - Stir Fry vegetables, chicken, wholewheat noodles (2 syns for sesame oil)
S - Iced coffee (1/2 HEA oat milk),
