That's strange beanie, I thought the SW site applied to all the UK but maybe Scotland has different covid rules for groups meeting indoors.1 -
Thanks, but don't know how you can book for another group when you have to do it through FB page?

If you go onto the website you can find phone numbers for other consultants so perhaps could book that way. I don't use the FB page to contact my consultant I always text her.
Today's plan:
B - fry up with sausages - sausages; egg; mushrooms, tomatoes, beans - P; S; F; 2
L - Linda McCartney red onion & rosemary sausage & mushroom sandwich - HEB; S; F; 3.5
D - duck breast; roast potatoes, carrots, peppers, onions, courgettes, green beans, peas - P; S; F
HEA - milk
HEB - bread
Syns - 2 butcher's LF sausages 2; 10g butter 3.5

Same here denise. I don't do FB so always text my consultant too.
How do you cook your duck breast? Can I roast them? Previously I've always used the tins of confit but we haven't been to France for so long that I've run out. ☹ DH loves duck and invariably chooses it in restaurants when it's on the menu but I've never cooked it from scratch.
Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit, skinny syrup, banana (F), HEB porridge, HEA milk
L- veggie omelette (P,S), ham (P) pickles (S)
D- JO roast pork (P), SW roast potatoes (F), carrot & swede mash, kale, cabbage, red cabbage, cauli an broccoli (S)
Syns- gravy 4, weekend wine 😀1 -
Have to admit I do cook the duck breast with the fat on but don't eat it all!
You need a frying pan that you can use in the oven to cook it that way. We like it quite pink so if you like it cooked more obviously it'll need longer in the oven.
Heat the pan on the hob and once heated put in the duck breasts skin side down and allow it to render down and brown; pour off the fat regularly (although you wouldn't necessarily do that if you weren't doing SW!). Once the skin is brown and crispy, turn over and pop it into the oven at about 200 degrees for about 8-10 minutes. Remove from the oven and cover with foil to rest for 10 minutes before serving.
I buy French duck breasts from my local butcher but I like to buy them while they are still fresh and freeze myself. Because he doesn't sell a boxful quickly enough if freezes them when they are getting near to their use by date. I was lucky this week as they were due to be frozen this weekend (use by date is tomorrow!).
I usually do them as a roast but have been known to have duck salad!

We have no choice but too book on FB, she has set up a document and once each session is full you cannot then book that group to stop over booking and you have to go to the same one each week.
Dunno why i'm worried we have not got a venue yet 😂
Sary, i will address this to you as you was interested, if you go to the company shop with a registered card holder you can go in free , BUT they are no longer giving the guest passes out nowSealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance:0 -
I didn't really understand how my consultant was doing the bookings bubbs. I told her I wouldn't be going on 13th August and asked if I could book for the 20th. She said text her nearer the time. That's fine but I got the impression that the people who were going on 13th (first Thursday back for us) would have a regular booking so it's not going to be first come, first served every week IYSWIM. I'll probably be fine as the mid morning group isn't that big and I'm sure she'll fit me in somewhere.
In any event I need to focus on staying within target. 😁1 -
My consultant has told me to contact her the week before I want to go ie 21 August as I want to get weighed before my holiday on 28th. I can see it being a problem to be honest as there can only be a max of 30 people and my group has between 80 and 120 go through the pay station each week but of course not everyone stays usually. The normal 2nd group isn't as big but still has about 40 every week so if everyone wants to be weighed Thursday morning as usual that's 160 people and she's only doing 4 groups during the morning so if I can't get in on 28 August then I'm going to have to book a holiday for that day and then that gives me another 8 weeks before I need to weigh! At least I hope it does because I've got no intention of weighing until at least mid October (couple of weeks after I get back). Will just have to see how it goes.
