Welcome Klew to the thread.  Slimming World is a really good plan.  As ruby said your plan for today isn't too bad for SW and just needs a few tweaks for it to be a good day.  You're only allowed 1 HEB and 2 HEAs a day so by changing the bread to a jacket potato at lunch it would be a good lunch option - in fact it's what I had today with some salad to get in the Speed food.

You could also snack on fruit.  Most fruit is Speed but unfortunately not bananas or grapes but you can still have them but they are just Free foods rather than Speed.

If you tell us what you would snack on at the moment we may be able to make some suggestions for similar things or be able to tell you what the syns are for the things you actually like.

beanie I quite like Ryvita with some cheese or cheese spread on, don't think they taste like cardboard.  The syns vary with them depending on the flavour.  The Original and Dark Rye are 4 for HEB or 1.5 syns each.  Some of the flavoured ones are 3 for HEB or 2 syns each.

Hi everyone, and welcome Klew (waves),
No running today. I have muscle strain in my right leg after the hike, so will have to give it a rest for a while.
    B - Weetabix/skimmed milk (HEA/HEAB)
    L - grilled bacon, poached egg, tomatoes/mushrooms (S)
D - diet cola chicken with rice
Snacks - Apple, banana, 2 satsumas
    Syns - choc raisins (6)
I am co-hosting a zoom quiz later which is a bit stressful. I need to keep the scores and make small talk in between rounds - wish me luck hahaha!
Going to make up overnight oats for tomorrow morning and also get the SC out. Will be doing beef and mushrooms recipe from one pot SW cookbook. It's meant to use steaks and cook on hob for 3 hours(!) but have casserole steak instead and will bung in SC tomorrow morning. Can't be watching a pot for 3 hours and !! to the cost of the gas!
SW scanner sounds good - think WW have something similar according to my DMum.
    Have a good evening all,
    Coxy xx

I think you're confusing Ryvita with Scanbran beanie! 🤣 I like Ryvita but unfortunately I snacked on them again last night (this time with ham and mustard). I knew I shouldn't have had my dinner so early. ☹

Welcome klew. Personally I'd rather have 3 large meals than snacks but things like cold meats or baby beetroot or fruit or carrot sticks or hard boiled eggs are easy to nibble at. I used to take satsumas out in my bag too in case I felt hungry as they're so easily portable.  What I noticed most was how little Speed food you have on your menu. SW recommend at least a third of all your food should be fruit or veg and sadly, baked beans and peas (while they are syn free) don't count. Your only Speed food today is the turnip.  So I'd be adding fruit onto your cereal, some salad or pickles to your lunch and heaps of vegetables to your dinner to make it more SW friendly. HTH.

I've never really understood that business about 1 or 2 HiFis either tete. maybe it means you can split a HEB? I liked your idea of having couscous with your roasted veg, much easier than cooking rice. Do you do it with water or flavour it?

My consultant phoned today to explain everything. Our groups are going back on August 13th. But that's our wedding anniversary and we're planning our first trip to a restaurant since lockdown so I definitely don't want bad news that day! Apparently she can keep putting me down as STS until September 10th (?) but I told her I'll be back long before then. She said just to text when I'm ready and she'll let me know which slots are available. Apparently we must wear shoes for WI (socks won't do) so I need to find my lightest pair!

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit (F), fried eggs (P), mushrooms and tomatoes (S), HEB toast, HEA milk
    L- ham (P), bubble & squeak (F,S), beetroot and pickled cabbage (S)
    D- chicken jambalaya (F,P,S)
    Syns- hopefully none

If you have 1 Hifi bar for your HEB it also counts as Speed - absolutely no idea why but it's another of the SW anomalies!  It's also the same with Ryvita (Original or Dark Rye).  If you have 2 then it counts as HEB and Speed; if you have 4 then it's just HEB.

My consultant hasn't given me the option to leave it until September.  She told me that the WI without group stops w/c 10 August when groups are back on so if I don't want to go to WI then I need to send her my weight either this week or next week and then weigh again within 8 weeks at group.  Wish she had given me that option as I don't want to go to physical group until the 28 August which will be the last Thursday before my holiday.  I then won't go again until at least mid October as I am away all of September.

I was both surprised and pleased to have that leeway until September denise. I suppose it's to make it easier and more gradual as then not everyone will need to rush get a place in a group in the same week. She did say that SW would be announcing the general arrangements nationally so that might help you.
That's weird about the split HEBs and Speed. I'd love to know the reasoning behind that. But I don't think I'll ask my consultant at the moment, she's got enough on her plate (excuse pun)., 🤣
