This morning on the news I heard them say "Slimming clubs" but on the radio when I was coming back from shopping they were talking to someone from the NHS who was talking about their 12 week weight loss programme.  I suspect a lot of people will be referred to that.  Wouldn't be for me though with all that calorie counting!  SW is far easier and thus easier to stick with.

I must be on a government list somewhere as last week I received an email from "NHS" called "weight loss plan week 1 -don't go hungry" personalised  dear chieveley, and a 6 page pdf to download (hopefully attached) includes a diary.

Any idea why bubbs?.   Our consultant has already managed to get access to one of her venues  - she's done a video to show how it will work for her 2 groups on a Monday night.  She hasn't done one yet for the venue I use so assume she hasn't had access to that yet.  No doubt she'll do a video of how that will work once she has access.

Because we are not the only group that uses it, another of her groups has had the go ahead and they are all booking there slots now, her other venue has not got back to her yet so 1 out of 3

    Evening all,
Denise, I'll follow your idea about the wm bread being a HEB in any form, as such.
Son will need to cook SW friendly stuff, but he's keen to eat healthily.  I just need to make sure he's actually in the house to cook, since he went out at 1pm with me, and hasn't been back home yet!  So I did dinner.
Bubbs, you'll get those few lbs off no problem, you're a star at that.

    Plan today:
    B -  cataloupe, 0% greek yog
L - bacon medallions, eggs, mushrooms, 2 x Nevill's wm toast HEB, beans
snack - banana, skinny whip bar (5)
D - grilled butterfly chicken, lettuce, cucumber, tomato, spring onion, savoury veg rice, LF dressing (1)
    HEA - milk in tea/coffee

Had a horrid sugar dip earlier just before lunch, that lasted for hours.  Have had a bit of a rougher day with cv19 symptoms returning, but they come and go quite regularly.  Just trying to get used to them and not dwell on it too much.
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home

    Hiya everyone!
Long time no post. I was a member of SW and going to classes up to the week of my wedding- but I was only paying lip service really. Work was crazy- I had been working pretty much a full time week (I work p/t) and weekends and I was so stressed with wedding prep I wasn’t eating right. That said the week of the wedding I lost 3lbs- that’s wedding stress for you :D

I did manage to fit in my dress- all I’m going to say is thank goodness for corset backs!! I didn’t need the industrial Spanx I had bought either :D Needless to say there was lots of lovely food and drink, and ditto with my honeymoon. However unfortunately 5 days after my wedding my dad (who was terminally ill) passed away in hospital unexpectedly. I was devastated (My dad essentially brought me up as mum worked nights as a nurse, so I was very close to dad) this sent me into a spiral of destructive eating. Grief coupled with lockdown wasn’t helpful and I rocketed to 20.5 stone. I’ve managed to lose a little bit (although I’ve pretty much solely lived on takeaways for this last week as I was at mum’s I’ve also done an awful lot of walking)

I really do need to lose weight so I’ve re-joined SW and I’ve joined a class at the local community centre (it’s a mix of Pilates, Yoga and HIIT which is interesting) I’m hoping to have lost a good couple of stone by the time the rugby season re-starts proper in November.
    Today’s food:
B: Apple, Fibre One popcorn bar (4.5 syns) coffee with HEXA s/s
L: Ham, chips and salad. Water
T: SW chicken supreme, mixed veg. 2 flat peaches and HEXB 2 x HiFi bars (thanks Iceland :D
S: 4 x cracked black pepper Ryvita (I worked this out literally about 6.5 syns- I haven’t yet got access to Syns Online so cant confirm it but did the syns- calories thing) with HEXA Laughing Cow Light.
Packet of Cheese Curls (worked out as 4.5) can of S/F Tango
    Syns: 15.5

I find posting here helps me keep track and works better than a food diary! Night all xx

Welcome back Mrs R.  Glad the wedding went off OK and you fitted into your dress, which had been your aim.

You're quite welcome to ask for syn values on here.  You're not far out on the Ryvita - they are 1.5 syns each so 6 syns which means you came in on plan for syns!  Cheese Curls vary in syns - some are 4 syns, some are 4.5.

Just a couple of things which have changed since you were last here that you might not be aware of, although you probably are if you'e been reading along.  You can now have 2 HEAs and one HEB each day.  There are a couple of 800g loaves which are now HEB - Nevilles wholemeal from Mr T and Morrisons own brand wholemeal.  Makes life so much cheaper as these loaves are as cheap if not cheaper than the 400g loaves and they fill you up a bit more.  I find the Nevilles bread OK for toast but prefer the Morrisons one for sandwiches!

You're so right about the support on here.  I get more support on here than on my official Facebook group!  It's great that Iceland are doing the Hifi bars at the moment but wonder whether that will continue once groups are back to physical locations next month.  They are restarting w/c 10 August if you aren't aware so you might want to stock up if you're not going to be going to group.

Good luck with getting back to where you want to be.  You've done it before so you know you can do it again.

This is getting a bit long now so I'll sign off for the moment and post again shortly with my plans for today!

Morning all.  Having a later start to my day today because I just feel so tired.  Might have something to do with the tub of Oppo chocolate ice cream I ate last night...worked out at roughly 20 syns for the whole tub so still on track for the week so far as I'm not planning on syns today!  Hoping that a coffee will help to kick my brain into gear so I can get on with work.

B - Bacon sandwich (HEB), strawberries, blueberries
L - Stir Fry vegetables, fried egg
D - Cod, mushy peas, broccoli, cauliflower
    Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £
    LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000
