Evening ladies,
Sorry to hear about your scrape Bubbs. And just look at those little faces on Willow and BrambleI'm a frustrated non-doggie owner. Can't bear the thought of leaving them home all day while I'm working. I struggle enough leaving the cat, and she sulks no end that I do.
I'm in the opposite direction from you Bubbs, so east of Corby, the other side of Stamford in Lincs, but not far from you nonetheless.
Oh Denise, what a disappointment on the takeaway. I do like a curry, but OH just cannot stand the stuff, so I rely on a rare night out with a g/f to have one. What a waste of syns, think how much wine that would have been
Plan today:
B - banana, mango quark (1)
snack - bran cereal HEB & milk from HEA
L - chicken thighs, 0% passion fruit yogurt (1), and I've just realised I forgot to eat my melon!
D - bacon medallions, eggs, beans, LO mash, ketchup (1).
HEA - milk in tea/coffee
Have run out of mushrooms and toms, but MrT delivery due tomorrow will sort that. I might do some prep cooking this weekend to save me some time during the week. I often have very little inclination to cook after work, so trying to get ahead of myself. Just got to plan what I am going to do
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

We're having those cheesy fishcakes that DH fancied today. I hope they're worth the syns.
We have two Indian restaurants/ take aways near me that advertise 'healthy' curries. Obviously they can't say they follow SW but they say they use Frylight. One of the local SW groups hands out their flyers so they're confident of the syn values. I really should try them one day. http://www.jewelsrestaurant.co.uk/healthy-options
Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit (F) bacon, fried egg (P), tomatoes, mushrooms (S), HEB toast, HEA1 milk
L- Probably JP (F), with cottage cheese (P) and pickles (S)
D- fishcake, SW chips (F), broccoli, garlic mushrooms with HEA2 (S)
Syns- Fishcake 7!!!😲😲 HP sauce 1, weekend wine😉2 -
I do hope the fishcakes are worth the syns maman! Still haven't looked up the syns for my takeaway last night! You're lucky to have an Indian nearby that does SW friendly meals. Don't think ours use ghee as it wasn't greasy think they just use ordinary oil so definitely going to be high syns! Will get round to checking today.
Had to go out this morning to return a pair of shorts I bought (hope we get some sun when we go on holiday beginning of next month!). When I went to try them on there was a reduced label on them and I'd been charged full price but the zip was broken so I wouldn't even have been able to wear them! They changed them no problem but couldn't get exactly the same ones so had to get a different pair but actually prefer them - they were the ones I was looking for and couldn't find yesterday when I bought the others! So I actually ended up with the new shorts plus £2.50 I'd been overcharged, result!
Today's plan:
B - fry up - bacon, egg, mushrooms, tomatoes, beans - P; S; F
L - smoked salmon & salad wrap - HEB; P; S
D - jerk chicken, rice & "peas" - P; S; 2
HEA - milk
HEB - Wrap
Syns - light coconut milk 2; 2 x rum & ginger beer 5
2 -
£2.50 is good denise but shorts that fit is even better 🤣2
-
Definitely! and great that I managed to get the ones I was actually looking for yesterday but there weren't any on display - they must have got them out either later yesterday or first thing this morning!
Think for what I ate last night it was probably about 15 syns but think I'm going to say 20 just to be on the safe side! bubbs is right I should have just made KFC!
Have got the chicken marinading in the jerk seasoning at the moment in the fridge ready to cook this evening. Just realised I forgot to syn the honey in the marinade so that will be another 0.5 syn so 2.5 for dinner tonight! plus a couple of rums so will be saving 7.5 syns! So 7.5 syns will be saved today.

Afternoon all 😁
Thanks Beanie and Sary
Sary my friend i meet in Corby lives in Oakham so Corby is the place we meet, funnily enough i met her on the elite MSE thread, so we go bargain hunting when we meet 🤣🤣 and if i have got something she couldn't , or visa versa we swap things 😁😁
Was lovely this morning went and walked the dogs, been gardening this afternoon now it's chucking it down 🙄
Hope we don't have alot of thunder as Bramble, although he is a gun dog HATES thunder 🤔
My sister works Part time so she walks the dogs everyone morning at 6.30 unless it's throwing it down, because little Miss Soppy eyes won't go out if it's raining 🤣🤣🤣 then she is usually home lunch time ish, so they are only on there own at the most 5 hrs, but they go in there kennel when she is at work. It's a massive walk in Kennel
Well it's picky tea for us 😁 I had BLT egg wraps for lunchSealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance::dance:1 -
Evening all
Bubbs I've spent many a day in Oakham Castle doing events in a previous role I had. Small world huh?
Today hasn't been super great plan wise. First weekend on plan has been testing.
B - Toast with spread & marmalade with cup of tea. Now OH always brings me a cuppa in bed, and recently since lockdown has been bringing me some toast. I forgot to tell him not to bother today. Didn't have the heart to tell him, but ate 1 slice not the 2. HEB + 3 syns for the toppings
L - bacon sandwich, ketchup. More bread! so that's 13 syns... and at this point I might as well just say the syn bank was blown for the day from thereonin.
snack - a fruit bun OH's work colleague bought for us as thanks for a favour(god knows the syns)
D - lf burger, salad, sw wedges, ketchup (1), slice cheese HEA1
Supper - 3 rich tea biscuits (5)
HEA2 - milk in tea/coffee
MrT delivery arrived today, no substitutions, so I am all set for the rest of the week.
The bun sent me into a sugar dip and I had to sleep for 2 hours this afternoon. I think it's also why I was craving the biscuits in the evening. I'm not usually one to snack after dinner
Will pull back the syns over the next couple of days to limit the damage. Need to be better prepared and also have a word with OH about no more toast. Bless him. It's the only cooking he does too!
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home1 -
Sary Was going to say you can pull those syns back over the rest of the week. Do your meal planning and keep the meals syn free or very low syn. There are plenty of syn free meals.
Do you batch cook? If you do some then you can always have those HM ready meals in the freezer. I know that maman and I both batch cook for the freezer. It can be so handy for those CBA days and even just so you can have a day off from cooking once or twice a week. I usually cook 4 portions of everything and then put half into the freezer for a meal another time so even if not batch cooking I'm still building up those HM ready meals without really trying!
Today's plan:
B - fry up - sausages, egg, mushrooms, tomatoes, beans - P; S; F; 2
L - smoked salmon and salad roll - HEB; P; S; 0.5
D - boiled bacon, carrots, potatoes, green veg - P; S; F
HEA - milk
HEB - WM roll
Syns - sausages 2; LTL mayo 0.5
